I have a 01 ext cab Dakota for oarts. And a 01 ram with a 5 speed I'm using for the taller 1st an 2nd gear ratio. Going to be swapping into my Dakota R/T
That Jeep's coming out really well, you're doing a great job! Just as an FYI, it looks like the audio and video got out of sync from around 8 minutes to 10 minutes. Maybe its my player, or it got jumbled in the upload, but I was seeing one thing and hearing a completely different part.
Hey Nick! I love the envy 4500 swap into a zj! Ripped the front frame horn at the track bar mount on my 5.9 ZJ and it's just been sitting for like 5 months.. I'm currently building a Dodge Ram that I just put a new remanned 5'9 in. I just finished getting the engine in and it's running like crap! Would you be able to go over in a UA-cam video how to set up timing and the distributor orientation and the oil pump drive gear orientation for Magnum engines? Either that or dude I'd love to book 20 minutes with you on the phone to confirm some things and see what I screwed up..
Badass build. Do you have part numbers/specs for the starter used and the flywheel/clutch setup. I'm swapping a manual trans into my 2002 dodge ram with a 5.9 Thanks 👍
I have a few questions. Im swapping my 93 d350 5.9l magnum 46rh trans with a nv4500 trans is in and im haveing issues getting it to start it wont fire. I put a new crank pos sensor in for a manual . My auto had a 3 wire vss nv has 2 wire also neutral switch is 3 wire on auto 2 wire on manual. Ive been searching internet for help on how to rewire truck to get to start but all im finding is swaps with a cummins. Your video is as close as i can find. Some much needed insight is appreciatated.
So you manual swapped it and now it won’t run? Hm well I know the NSS plug on the auto is 3 wire because it also has the reverse light wire. So really NSS is only 2 wires. So you need to make sure you have those 2 correct otherwise it won’t crank. Sounds like it does crank though? I recommend using your original CPS or a replacement identical to the original one with 3 wires. I found that my new manual trans CPS was identical to the old auto one. So if you now have a 2 wire, it must not be the right one. And CPS issue will cause a no-fire
