  • Welcome to Sea isle City New Jersey. Sea Isle is so relaxing and I think may have one of the best beaches in New Jersey. Sea Isle City boardwalk is now called the promenade and is 1.5 miles long great for a bike ride. There are plenty of restaurants and things to do in Sea Isle City so I hope this video will give you a peak of some things to do when you visit Sea Isle City. I will be back Sea Isle City because you just may be the best quiet beach town in New Jersey. Thanks for your hospitality.

Great video! That place looks beautiful but a little slower with action. I know you went when it was out of season. Thanks for helping narrow down where I want to move to. I've watched so many of your videos that you guys are starting to feel like family.

I been to several beach towns in New Jersey but my favorite has to be Cape May.
Not a far stroll from the sand to get to the ocean.
My child lives not far from Ocean City,Md.
      Fiancé’s family lives in Rehoboth.
The wedding will be on the beach in September, hopefully no rain 🌧️!
Have you been to Assateague Island where the wild ponies live?
      My favorite in Maryland.
You do have much enthusiasm in your narrative.

Nice little tour of Sea Isle. Always has been my favorite beach.

That is the thing about Sea Isle City, it is a true beach summer town compared to Ocean City or Wildwood. When you are off season a lot of places are closed or on shortened hours; my wife and I once visited in October and it was like a ghost town. We swear by Rick's Breakfast House (61st St) for breakfast and Scoops Ice Cream (83rd St).

I will definitely check those places out next adventure that way. 😄

I live in Sea Isle and you just have to look a bit harder for open businesses and things to do in October. But town still active then. It's January and February that are brutal here.

I remember Sea Isle City back in the late 60s when I was a kid. My family went there for a week every August. We stayed at the camp ground Lake and Shore. All so many great memories. When the Spinnakers went up the city changed. We used to park next to the boardwalk and walk onto the beach, but not any more. Still love the place, but now so many more people love it too. So stop trying to sell this place, let it be our gem.

What you really need to know if planning to buy a home or vacation in Sea Isle: I've lived here since 1970. Own a home on 33rd St a few houses back from ocean. Sea Isle is a barrier island about 4 miles out in the ocean from the mainland and is not physically connected to mainland in any form. It is susceptible to storms and erosion but beach replenishment has kept it alive. Real estate taxes are consistent with the rest of Cape May County....police department does a nice job but WAY too top-heavy with management drones....zoning dept is a continuing headache staffed by incompetent buffoons. The surf is some of the best on the entire NJ coastline. Beach tags required.

I live in the 100 block of 33rd Street. Right behind Pirate's Cover. Lifelong resident of Sea Isle and with the exception of way too much bureaucracy and wasteful abuse of taxpayers' money...one of the best towns on the east coast.

I'm thinking of moving to the Jersey shore next in one of those towns. How is all of New Jersey as a whole with state and local politics? Is it as much of s-hole as New York state?

    • @AlongForTheJourney
      @AlongForTheJourney  4 місяці тому +1

Lol... The new jersey beach towns have so much to offer. And there are so many. Atlantic city is a much different vibe than oc new jersey which is different than wildwood. So diverse.

    • @frankcastle5294

@@PokrPro21 Not nearly as bad as NY state. Does have 7% sales tax on most everything but gasoline and diesel taxes low. If you're serious and you want to stay away from trickle down thug life and hood rats then buy a place in either OC NJ or any of the towns south of there with Wildwood the exception, though Wildwood crest which is on south end of island is very nice.
