I’m so glad you loved ocean city so much! My family’s been going every summer for the past 80+ years and I think we can all agree that it’s our favorite place to be :) if you ever come back, try to be on the boardwalk on a Tuesday night because during the summer in ocnj, Tuesday night is mummer night and every week a parade of mummers makes their way down the boardwalk playing polka music and spreading joy! It’s a sight to behold and always a highlight of my many ocean city trips! As for the beach being narrow, it’s usually wider than that, but the waves drag the sand back into the ocean after a while so every couple of years they vacuum sand back out of the ocean to widen the beaches. You probably just found the wrong stretch of beach at the wrong time, and if you return you’ll likely be met with a much wider beach! (Especially at the southern end of the island, around 25th street and south). Anyway, thank you for checking out my little slice of heaven, I hope you return because there so much more to explore than you could ever cover in one day!
For sure i will be back and i loved every minute of it there. Thanks for sharing and some great tips for all of us. Hope to see you there sometime. It truly was an amazing town.👍👍😎😎⛱⛱♥️♥️
Growing up I was always down Seaside Heights for vacation and loved it. I met my wife in 2011 and she was always down OC for vacation Growing up so I went with her for the first time and have been going down every summer since. There's no other Shore town that can come close to it in Jersey. It's such a beautiful place for families.
I’m excited since soon I’m go there. I haven’t been there in 3-4 years unfortunately due to covid. I’m watching videos and yours was the first! I wanna watch videos to go to the good places before everyone else since I’m going very early!
Summertime is one thing in Ocean City, but a majority of the year winter time is a completely different experience building a fire on the boardwalk we would look and breaking into summer houses and party bunch of crazy kids in Ocean City but it was a safe clean place to grow up and an excellent high school But living there most of the year you felt like everybody was somewhere else. It was so empty and so quiet I can remember hearing the wind whipping around howling through the buildings. And that wind would come off the ocean and go right through you. It was always fun to see snow on the beach didn’t happen very often but when it did, it was pretty cool.
My family has been going there since 1940. Spent my childhood there every year in the 60's & 70's. My most favorite place on earth. Copper Kettle Fudge (on 11th) cooking smell used to fill the air and there is no pizza like what used to be called Mack & Manco! I'm sure it is still awesome! You must have birch beer with it! You mentioned the beach is narrow. When I was younger the dunes were not there and in the evening the water would come under the boardwalk. So awesome for a young child.
If you watched my latest video on Jersey Boardwalks ua-cam.com/video/ZDz8YQR8lTA/v-deo.html You will see it is my favorite... I'm ready to go back now. Lol. Thanks for commenting and subscribing👍👍⛱⛱😎😎
Lots of changes and improvements since our summer stays in the 1960’s-70’s. I see some staples that still exist. I’m looking forward to our next visit. I took my 3 kids there along with my parents and swam at the same beaches my family did. We took our grandson every year for his birthday before the pandemic. This year will be our return.
Thanks for tuning in Michelle. I hope a could bring you a little piece of home to Switzerland for sure. I want to come to Switzerland so bad and will one day. Keep in touch and please subscribe. Stay safe and come back and visit real soon. 👍👍😎😎♥️♥️
I consider Ocean City my second home. Lots of great family memories were made in this beautiful slice of paradise. Nearby Somers Point is also a great place to visit.
I will put that on my list of places to cover in my next visit. OC is really nice and beautiful for sure.👍👍😎😎♥️♥️ Thanks for watching and please subscribe
Great video! It was nice to see how much you and your wife really enjoyed everything the boardwalk had to offer. I’m taking my girlfriend, her son, and his cousin there this coming Saturday. I’m sure we will all have a great time as well. Thank you for posting this video and you take care!
I love this video! One of my favorite donut places to visit in ocean city nj is the fractured prune. Their donuts are amazing! My family and I have been visiting ocean city for about 6 years in a row now! Glad you enjoyed the boardwalk!
Omg watch my ocean city Maryland video when we were at fractured prune... it's one of my favorites too. Thanks for watching and subscribing can't wait until the next boardwalk video. 😎😎👍👍⛱⛱
I have been to Ocean City, NJ a couple of times and it is nice but sorry the beach to me should be for free. I actually live near Ocean City, MD and it is nice but it is a lot more busier.
I grew up in MD and avoided OC. It's pretty but there could be times where it was absolute chaos. They invite a younger, wilder crowd. I always loved Rehoboth and Dewey, took that Cape May Ferry every summer. 🧡
ocean city definitely looks more laid back compared to wildwood and seaside. Has more of a local vibe compared to the tourist vibe. I've always gone to W.W and S.S as a kid but haven't gone since after sandy
I see they have a lot of people riding bikes on this boardwalk, do bikes generally stay in their “lane”? I just imagine my preschooler running on the boardwalk and thinking of all those bikes…
I don't know what it is but when i go to a Jersey boardwalk the weather is always perfect. Not to hot like Maryland or south. Love oc nj♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😎😎😎😎😎⛱⛱⛱⛱⛱
I live here. If you think Manco and Manco pizza is "amazing" and the " best you've ever had" I am so sorry. I urge anyone coming to OC to go to Three Brothers instead. FAR superior. Manco's is pure garbage.

home sweet home
Where the food court is all the way in the back is another mini golf place. I absolutely love that one. It glows in the dark.
I will be checking that out next time. Thanks for the tip. 👍👍

Grew up in Ocean City in late 70’s early 80’s

Heading to OCNJ on Saturday, this has been our beach for the past 50 years
I tell you what... it is now one of my favorites. Have fun and a safe trip. 👍👍⛱⛱😎😎
Going in two days for a week vacation 😁
I’ve been going there every year since I was born. Awesome beach. Can’t wait! 😁
Oh wow have a great time. Eat a piece of manco and manco for me. Thanks for commenting and subscribing⛱⛱😎😎👍👍
@AlongForTheJourney thanks! Can’t wait to eat shriver’s fudge! 😋
Edit: and the waterpark!
I got back about 2 weeks ago it was fun and I loved it
Yeah it's a nice boardwalk and town. 👍👍
Heading to Ocean City tomorrow🤗 thanks for this informative video. Everything looks sooo good 😋We will definitely be trying the lobster rolls.
Now your making me hungry.😁 Have a great safe time and please subscribe and i want to hear about it when you get back. Love OC NJ. 👍👍😎😎⛱⛱
Very nice video and clean.
I have been to Ocean City, NJ a couple of times and it is nice but sorry the beach to me should be for free. I actually live near Ocean City, MD and it is nice but it is a lot more busier.
I agree with you beaches should be free. To me if you want the beach oc md is nicer and a little wider.

a really nice town!!!!
Oh yes. So much to do there. Thanks for commenting And please subscribe😁😁👍👍
Used to be called Mack and Manco the original owner used to sleep under the pizza ovenss
Wowwww.
ocean city definitely looks more laid back compared to wildwood and seaside. Has more of a local vibe compared to the tourist vibe. I've always gone to W.W and S.S as a kid but haven't gone since after sandy
Oh yeah oc nj is one of my favorites. And is more laid back. But a great boardwalk and some great food. 👍👍😁😁 thanks for commenting and subscribing.
@@AlongForTheJourney your welcome! I do remember I went to ocean city once around 06 but forgot mostly about it
The best pizza ever. Mango and manco.
Thank you thank you thank you... someone that agrees BIG BIG👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
If you had to choose between Ocean City and Wildwood which would you choose?
For me i fell in love with oc nj... more quieter but fot families wildwood has more rides
I see they have a lot of people riding bikes on this boardwalk, do bikes generally stay in their “lane”? I just imagine my preschooler running on the boardwalk and thinking of all those bikes…
Bikes are only aloud on boardwalk in the morning during summer months. Off season it may be anytime.
What year was this video taken at ocean City boardwalk. And what was it like back then....till now.
Just did video this past weekend. Enjoy😁😁
@@AlongForTheJourney okay 👍 great how was the weather there.
I don't know what it is but when i go to a Jersey boardwalk the weather is always perfect. Not to hot like Maryland or south. Love oc nj♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😎😎😎😎😎⛱⛱⛱⛱⛱
@@AlongForTheJourney that's great 👍 and I do like the videos that you put out. But I do miss the boardwalk scene and people and sight's
Thank you!!!!
Manco and Manco…… so, so. I like their White Pizza much better.
Preps pizza is better
I will put that on my list for this year hopefully.
That's my favorite place there or Brothers pizza. I usually have either of them when I used to go. Shrivers, OC coffee has good coffee.
Not a brother's pizza fan.
I live here. If you think Manco and Manco pizza is "amazing" and the " best you've ever had" I am so sorry.
I urge anyone coming to OC to go to Three Brothers instead. FAR superior. Manco's is pure garbage.
I'll try that next time. Im a thin crust pizza guy AND i never saw thinner than manco pizza. Great tip👍👍
I don’t like mango n mango
