I’ve cut jeans and shirts, but never a sweater so their video lead me to pulling out my sweaters and analyzing why i dont wear certain ones and consider what i might to to them to make them useful. I’ve grown to dislike boring “same old” black, and have simply enhanced some with a flower cut from a headband or a colorful pin - no cutting involved. But im still at it, and gonna cut off some sleeves to make the sweaters more like vests. 😘
These sweaters all a super cute, but they were pretty cute even before you guys up cycled them. I'd love to see you take the most ugliest huge sweaters ever and transform them into something cute and wearable.

anything stretch and you want it to keep stretching you wanna be overlocking/ serging or using a small zig zag stitch or even a stretch stitch. that makes sure that it keeps the seam stretching else the usual straight stitch is like a hard line it doesn't have any give if the knit fabric skips stitches its worth getting a stretch needle or ballpoint needle and if you use good quality thread your creation will last longer. love you guys upcycling.

For the wool ones, you can felt them by rubbing warm, soapy water into the cut edges, and that will prevent fraying and make a slightly more finished looking edge. It takes some patience though.
