I love Cabo, been there numerous times. Just got back 3 weeks ago. The best thing about it is the weather. We go in January and it never rains!! We stay at Hacienda del mar and we absolutely love it!! Definitely worth the hype!
We are leaving Saturday staying at the same place. We love it there
Cabo is so amazing I was there for a week and i cant say enough of that place the ocean and the people and the food is all so amazing
3 days in Cabo is not enough at all. I’m born and raised in Cabo. There is soooo much more!!! I haven’t been able to be home in 2 years and I miss it so much!!! It’s super healing there. Forever my home!
So why did you leave?
@@robryan751 those are small town there are not really any job opportunities that's why people moving in bigger cities but if you retired or rich its a perfect place every days at beach.....
We always stay at Sandos Finesterra and we love it. Cabo is our go to place now.
One of my favorite things to do for day drinking is at cabo wabo patio bar. Have a great couple who have been there for years playing music for us older crowd. Very talented. Sqidd row are for days gone by. Still love cabo 17 years and had many great memories.
Day Drinking? Alcoholic?
Wow i really miss Cabo San Lucas , ive only gone once and that was back in 1991 and I was 3 years old. Its even more appealing now that is freezing here in Monterrey tonight is gonna drop to -4 degrees and is gonna snow but well its still winter i suppose.
Hermoso Cabo San Lucas y que suerte de ver tan cerca las ballenas, que envidia. Saludos
Great videos and helpful in deciding where to go.. Thanks
You’re killing me with these videos Laura! By comparison we just had a hailstorm here in Orange County 🥶 My trip to Los Barriles in June can’t come fast enough but you’re helping me stay focused. Keep on with the Festivus for the rest of us. Cheers!
Jay
Go to the San Jose del Cabo area, quieter, more homes and condos, not so many drunks, just a bteter area, we stay there every winter, plus its close to the airport.
We love Cabo, cant wait to go back again.
of course its worth the hype. best fish tacos anywhere and very nice people
You should visit near Cabos San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is more a Mexican Town and near there are a couple of little towns like Caduaño, Miraflores, Santiago, Cabo Pulmo National Park, the tropic of cancer Mark and Museum, Los Barriles, San Bartolo
That's the plan! Currently in San Jose now and planning some weekend trips to these other spots :) Thanks!
Any recommendations for museums in san Lucas or San jose? Are they still doing
g the art walk on Thursday nights?
I went 2 years ago by myself and I love it because I went to the not so much tourist places so yeah loved it and want to go back
CSL is a GREAT place!!!! But it's definitely not for everyone. I describe it as Vegas with an ocean. Not cheap. Open all night. Plenty of things to do. Stay in San Jose if quiet and relatively inexpensive is more your speed.
Great decision to see the whales. You did it right to goes to the beach a negotiate with the locals to go out. When I was there me and my friends wanted to go fishing. Cost 20us dollars. A barging compared to the charters.
Great video.
Hello there thanks for your videos Baja life 👍 watching from Port Hueneme Beach CA USA
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Golfing, fishing and partying and some nice beaches.
You got that right except the beaches.best beaches are in the Yucatan, not close.
Did you go recently? We are going in a few weeks and wonder how things are with COVID
Impresionante y bello!!!
What other places in Mexico do you recommend?
4:55 Looks like the spot where a very young Jack Nicholson played a Napoleonic officer in the horror movie, "The Terror".
Good movie
Its the aquarium of the world!
I love Cabo
I would suggest to your viewers to only bring Pesos to Mexico. There is difficulty exchanging USD to start and there is really no need for USD you can do everything in PESOS. Been going there for 10 years and have never taken USD.
How is there a video about Cabo and no one mentions Van Halen?
RIP Edward
That would be Sammy Hagar...
I prefer Todos Santos and San Jose.
Me too. In San Jose now and it is a completely different world here!
@@laura-bronner Make sure to stop into the most incredible Chadraui, or for that matter the most incredible supermarket I've ever seen in San Jose.
I prefer Nice on the French Riviera.
"We negotiated is Spanish" to get a better deal. 300 pesos per person is about $15 USD. The going rate for a water taxi is $10 USD per person. So, all your español did was get you ripped off. Nice video though.
In my opinión Cancún Is much better, have More tinngs to do , but cabo Is great
Can you believe another UA-camr swam out near the arch and got caught up in the rip current? Its caught on UA-cam...
I didn’t like Cabo at all. I thought the beach sand was horrible. My favorite part of vacationing by a beach is to walk on the sand. It was miserable.
I just looks so lovely 😎
love cabo
Los Cabos is a total sh*t hole. Continuous harassments by drug dealers and prostitutes. Not even possible to have an outdoor meal. I get stuck going there for work occasionally and I hate it.
I spent January in La Paz. Didn’t even go to Cabo because of all the people there trying to sell you stuff.
No place better in the world than the good old USA... from Atlantic to Pacific, every single thing you could ever want to see, do, eat, experience.... Mexico... ummm... no thanks.
Short answer ----------------- NO
Cabo's a dudes fishing trip destination.
My favorite coffee place in Cabo is The Cabo Coffee Company. And there's a great little restaurant next to it called Monkey Cave bar, good food at good prices...and they have an upstairs open air deck
A big surprise for me was the great dining in Cabo. Avoid the all inclusive resort and go for quality over quantity.
Been there several times of the last 10 yrs. stay at the Tesoro. At a the marina. But be careful when you go to CaboWabo . If you dont watch them they will over charge you on drinks. Pay cash for drinks for every round. Dirty little bastards if you have a few drinks they just add drinks on your tab. But the Band is great.
We did a Humpback whale watching tour in Cabo many years ago about this time of year. It was amazing. Saw a bunch of moms and babies playing. Also saw quite a few dolphin pods too. Cabo is a naturally gorgeous place. So happy you enjoyed your day out on the water. Definitely worth it. Thanks for sharing.
The sea was angry that day, my friend.
So jealous. We were there a few years ago and it was beautiful. We saw the arc and went on the beach too so this brings back a lot of wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing.
When I went, my favorite part was the boat tour out to the arch and the sea life!!
The boat tour was SO much fun, I'm glad we decided to do it, definitely a highlight of our trip here.
Those look like humpback whales....I've seen plenty of greys...never the humpbacks!
Thanks so much, a few people have said that as well! They were so incredible!
Glad to see you share my opinion that tourists tend to turn a special paradise into just another Wal Mart. I love your energetic and positive attitude.
Los Cabos is Beautiful, but you are missing Thank you very much! MOST BEAUTIFUL OF ALL BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, which is La Paz, it has beautiful swim able beaches, Islands and not turístico as Cabo, No Vendors! Yes! NO VENDORS! Come to visit La Paz and you will want ti come back again!
I’ve been to La Paz twice! I love it, some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico ❤️
@@laura-bronner I agree with you
I’ll be down there in exactly one week can’t wait!
So you are there now? Enjoy!
Cabo is a lot about El Squid Row in the evening. Complete debauchery. During the day, drinking all day at “The Office”. You’re on more of a civilized couple trip, but there are other types of vacations Cabo is known for. 😉 Also, lots of American guys go down with their bros for big golf trips. The courses there are incredible.
Cabo was not for me because it is very Americanized and most beaches are not swimmable. Fajitas is not authentic Mexican food! It may be cheap for American prices but over priced for Mexican standards. The reason American's like Cabo so much is because they are surrounded by other Americans. I drove 2 hours north to La Paz and thought it was way better and nicer without all the tourist. I would choose Puerto Vallarta over Cabo in a heart beat.
It’s so annoying to just watch someone’s face walking down the street. These videos should focus on what we want to see…..and it’s not their faces.
I was there last month January and had I great time sawed whales too. Try playa Tecolote is about 20 minutes from La Paz. Keep those videos coming Mexico is your home
El pasado de 'to see' es saw también, no sawed.
Curious question... When you did the island drop-off, did you pay half before and half after? Or did you just go full trust and pay all ahead of time? Thanks in advance
per my experience, 3 days is perfect. longer it gets tiring.
Is 3 nights enough?
Good to know, my trip in 2 weeks is 4 days 3 nights.
Anyone knows a good hotel that is close to all the activities such as the boat tour to see the arch and ATVs? And clubs I am thinking of going with riu palace but I think it's far from the activities
We have been going to Cabo since the 90's and like elsewhere have watched it grow. Have a time share (Las Cascades, medano Beach, for 20 years and LOVE it !) We are fortunate enough to live right on the beach (200-300 yds) in So. Cal and it's very much like Cabo. Have practiced Qi Gong in the "Forbidden City" paddled the Blue Grotto, and many places in between, yet still relish Cabo. We would strongly recommend eschewing the high priced all inclusive Hotels miles down the road on the corridor and stay in town. When in Rome, do as the Roman's do!
Romans killed Jesus. We should do as Romans when in Rome? They also initiated the inquisition, the crusades, and the dark ages.
Yeah, do as Romans do.
I went on a princess cruise and stopped at Cabo in 1975. I was Thirteen years old. The ship had at most 300 passengers. Not like today. There were no docks. They had to use launches to bring us to the Cabo Beach. The most beautiful thing I ever saw. Only white sand beaches. No resorts. Only a very small marina for a few sport fisherman's. I am blessed to have seen this place unmolested. I have no desire to ever go back. Because my memory would make me sad for what it has become.
Ive only been to a few beaches in mexico. But it was beautiful cus i was enjoying the moments w my father . i miss the beach yeah . the important thing is that were safe . from covid 19
Nah, the important thing is to live. We can't remain scared for years to come. We have to start living, we're going to die anyways! Would you rather die locked up in your house, or living life? Plus, unless you're over 80 or have co-morbidities, you'll be fine!
My husband & I visited Cabo in October 2018 I keep talking about going back. We stayed in Cabo San Jose' and took the public bus to Cabo San Lucas. The Arch and all the structures at Lands End are beautiful. We were there when the beach at the Arch was visible (which only happens every few years as we were told) and I think people were out on the beach there.
While we stayed in San Jose we visited the city center & walked around the square. The whole time we felt safe. It was so peaceful, the people were nice & the food was great everywhere we went! Glad you enjoyed yourself.
My wife and I vacation regularly in Cabo. We love Cabo, San Jose del Cabo, and Todo de Santos. We still need to get to La Paz. The food on the peninsula is amazing, and the scenery is the best. I love the contrast of the desert and the ocean, and whale season is spectacular. We enjoy your videos as we’ve learned of many restaurants and locations to add to our to do list. Keep up with the great videos! We need to learn Spanish. Did you know Spanish before you moved there?
Love your videos on Cabo... but I need to go back. Probably been 30x and each time I’m more in love. Thanks for sharing the whales with us. Hoping they are still there in 2 weeks!
I've been going to Cabo almost 20 years, besides the night life, diving at lands end. There is another mountain range below those rocks to 60 ft. Each time I've dove there I've wondered why a James Bond movie was never filmed here.
good light that day, with good music.
I hear so much about Cabo. Watching this video likely saved me some money.
Cabo is my favorite place on earth, you should visit, this video doesnt make justice to Cabo San Lucas, it is beautiful anf fun, night life is awesome
@@ivansanchez4462Don't tell him that he needs to go. People like him need to stay in their trailer park.
20 years ago it was wonderful. Now it's touristy and awful and everyone is out to rip you off.
Thank you so much for rekindling great memories. Mama whales come down from the colder waters of the North to have their calves. They will head back as the young ones grow and can be seen traveling all along the west coast.
I enjoy your videos. Thinking 3 to 4 days would be plenty there. We did enjoy San Jose del Cabo 30 some years ago. It was less built up than Cabo San Lucas but again 4 days was about right.
I saw Scooby Doo Rock!
Love the arches and Scooby Doo rock at 4:48 - thank you for sharing!
It looks like there are no waves good for surfing. Am I right?
Laura, you do great videos on the Baja, which I love, especially Mulege and Bahia Conception. Your narration is absolutely the best. Your Spanish names pronunciation is refreshing. I cringe at some of the slaughtered pronunciations on videos of others. Thank You!
All beautiful but please stop traveling for a while. People are dying from Covid and it only spreads by people moving from one place to another. It's a global pandemic. Where travel and commuting stopped, so did the number of deaths. I like your channel but I can't condone how your travels add to covid risks. Bye.
I stay for four weeks in Capo, Medano Beach. It was the many worst time on my Mexican traveling. It was overcrowding with north American tourist, it is so noisy ( l am wearing noise cancelling earphones), and all thinks are
overpriced. There are legions of beachsellers, Massage Ladys and rent music with sub wofers. The weather is nice and I love Hotel Medano
I live in cabo and I just want to say this doesn't do Cabo justice at all. 3 days?!?! Ive lived here for a couple years and can't agree with this review. You went to the freaking marina and complained about things being expensive? Is downtown in every city on earth expensive? Oh wait....... it is.
Cabo, no. San José Del Cabo, yes!
The question is, is Bror Fredrik aware of this news?
as somone that lives in hawaii and spent half my life here im looking to move to mexico since i have family there and its way cheaper then here
How does one know boat excursion is from trustworthy company?
I love cabo but man I got swimmers itch and a bad bug I’m itchy as hell and live in the bathroom lol
You'll always go back to Cabo!!!
Ya the pushy shady sales pitches in tourist areas are distasteful
you should've went to Los Barrilles
Cabo looks amazing! We were in La Paz last year and absolutely loved it. Hopefully one day we can return to Mexico and check out Cabo 😀
Did you have to submit a negative covid-19 test, if so how does that work?
No you don’t, I have a flight at 7:00 am. Out of everywhere I’ve been this year they are definitely the least strict on Covid.
Beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting. I think you hit the ail on the head. Great episode!
haha thanks!
Nah. Not nobody. Not everyone. /
Good job
I'm always pleased to see marine life that's not being fished or entangled in old fishing gear or plastic.
Seriously???? Mexico has no laws enforced for preserving wild life!!! Been there most of my life and have seen what they've done!
@@peggylagomarsini8017 Did you read my comment, before you started ranting?
I said I was happy to see marine life not tangled up in fishing gear, etc.
I didn't say anything about Mexican waters in general.
@@peggylagomarsini8017 I don't think Mexican fisherman are harvesting whales.., but who knows.
Yes Cabo is worth the hype!
Are you related to Dr. Bronner?
Cabo has the same brand name resorts as the other beaches. Cancun is warmer. In Cabo the current is too severe to get into the water and it is cold. I recommend Cancun over Cabo.
Depends on what's most important to you. Personally, I find the Caribbean side of Mexico to be FAR too humid. I don't enjoy sweating all day long. Also, Cabo has never had people dying from the truly poisonous alcohol as has happened in Cancun. Every place has their +'s and -'s. And there are plenty of swimming spots in Los Cabos. They just aren't right by the marina and downtown CSL.
Definitely worth a visit for the whales alone, amazing 😃 Looked absolutely beautiful.
We lived in San Jose del Cabo. Rarely did we go into Cabo San Lucas. Basically for Costco and that’s about it. SJC is a much nicer place to relax IMO.
I live an hour north, it is beautiful there, but too touristy for me. I highly recommend renting a car and exploring outside of Cabo too. Cabo Pulmo on the East Cape is beautiful, the beach where I live stretches for miles and almost no one is ever on it, even during the busy tourist season before the pandemic. And, in the whale season gray whales come super close to shore, so close you can look them in the eye, and all for free. At the same time there will be humpbacks everywhere in the backdrop! I love La Paz, visiting there now. Amazing beaches just a short drive away on the Sea of Cortez so perfect for swimming.
I was thinking of relocating there from Cuernavaca, but it just looks like too many schlocky t-shirt and souvenir stores and people bothering you trying to sell timeshare and boat tours. Ruins it.
Personally I preferred La Paz and San Jose Del Cabo to CSL. But that was back pre covid when it was even more nuts.
cano is very nice BUT its gotten overpriced, i went to Huatulco Oaxaca and found paradise for a fraction of the price. VERY MELLOW place too
Cabo is my most favorite place on earth, been going since 1999. A little more info for you. Highway 1 goes all the way to Canada. And the whales are Humpbacks.
Like your video! We were just in Cabo a week and a half ago. Beautiful! But sperm whales?? You lost cool points with me on that one.😆
So I’m going to spend my birthday week there from March 20-28 is it worth staying that long and is there enough to do for the 8 days?
