Laura, we remember your videos when you were in Mexico. I really enjoyed watching them. You do a great job with you videos but of course take care of yourself and family first. yours, JC
I am happy you are going back! I have your guide book and I get the new one too! We are planning on going down in November and we are definitely going to the lobster taco place at least a couple of times.
I spent a week working remote in San Jose Del Cabo. It was beautiful and my AirBnB was modestly priced considering I was near the very central square. I will say that I got sticker shock at the prices of the new condos that were going up. I'm talking $700K for a 2 bed, 2 BA condo for example. Also, like you said, when I ate at really nice restaurants near the centro I felt like I was paying LA prices instead of Mexico prices.
Yes, the more upscale restaurants do not shy away from charging US prices! I saw some apartments that weren't even waterfront selling for 600-800K. It's wild. But there are also still so many normal-priced restaurants, hotels, and even condos for sale/rent. It's a very wide spectrum down there!
hi laura, great to see you're back on the baja. i first started following and watching you when you were there because i was wanting to spend winters down there. I live in whistler, BC. i totally love all your posts. you were the first person that i started to follow on youtube eva. so thank you yes i have bought a property in la ventana. i am a kitesurfer/wingfoiler and this was the destination i was wanting and researching. i an leaving Oct 11th to drive to my property on the baja for the winter. so thank you for your advice over the years to help me get to this point in my life.. wahoo baby, im semi retired. anyhoot, please let me know when your baja travel book comes out. id love to have a copy. also, any recomendations on online spanish lessions. i know you have mentioned it but i forgot. sorry
COOL your back ! Was wondering what its like in the middle of the summer ?! me: well, knowing from years past how impossible it is to get a great stay for new year, i booked my room @ corazon 360 cabo last month .... 12-15-24 until 01-05-25 ! Love day trips to cabo pulmo and LaPaz ...but hit me up when your book is available
@@laura-bronner Yeah we ar ein La Costa. I've stayed in Peninsula as well. It was great! La Costa is wonderful as well. It's such a great location. Happy to see more Baja content from you.
Thanks for the Information. We will be Cruising to Cabo San Lucas at the end of December. I am seeing prices for a Tour to the "Arco" range from $10.00 to $30.00. Any specific Recommendation or persons to contact?? Do you recommend booking a "Glass Bottom" boat in advance, or should we just wait until we get there? i am assuming that there will be many different individuals asking for us to take their "Tour".
Laura thank you so much for your video outstanding as usual. My dear a couple of comments the first being and I am not sure that it is a fair question for me to ask but I am going to ask it anyway and that is would you guys consider moving back to Los cabos? The second comment is that I am really looking forward to purchasing your Los Cabos Guidebook and want to be one of the first to purchase it can you please confirm with me that I will be one of the first to secure my copy and third my dear I really would appreciate your counsel and recommendations as to San Jose Del Cabo as in August of 2025 we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary and I definitely want to return to Los cabos but we really need and desire to captivate your counsel and recommendations. We are thinking of San Jose Del Cabo as years ago it was quieter than Cabo San Lucas. Is that still the case. Anyway my dear if you please let me know as to these comments I really would appreciate it. I am incredibly blessed and honored to be one of your top fans. You are awesome Laura. Love you in a good way. Thank you so much. Ron
I would love to call Los Cabos home for part of the year at some point in the future, but for now it's a wonderful place to return to for a vacation! If you would like to purchase the guidebook, you can sign up for my email list here: laura-bronner.ck.page/2aaa734275 I will email everyone on that list as soon as it is ready to purchase! August will be very hot, but not any hotter than in Arizona I imagine! However, you do run the risk of storms at that time of year. If there are no storms, it is magical though and nice and quiet! San Jose is still much quieter than Cabo, especially in August. You will be able to enjoy the Thursday night art walk as well! Hope that helps!
Hi Laura I bought your book when I moved down here 3 years ago and it was very helpful. Hit me up if you come to La Paz. I am a local now so I can probably show you a lot of new places.
I left Lithuania last year and spent the summer traveling around Spain before heading back to the US. You can watch a video about my decision to leave/return to the US here: ua-cam.com/video/fYty8P4dsr8/v-deo.html
I have a college friend who has lived in Mexico for 35 years, first playing in the Mexico symphony orchestra, now retired in Xalapa. She was careful not to drive on some roads due to the possiblity of being kidnapped. In the state where she lives, there are 50 kidnappings.
"Beneath the postcard-perfect scenery lies a troubling reality: Los Cabos has one of the highest murder rates in the world, with approximately 300 homicides occurring each year." But hey UA-camr, as long as you can make money you don't mind spreading lies, putting peoples' lives in danger
You've obviously never lived in Los cabos or any part of the Baja peninsula. I've lived in San Jose Del Cabo since 2020. It's safer than the usa that's for sure. Why are you on this channel when you have no interest in Mexico? Move along. Go post comments on CNN

It's always cool to return somewhere you haven't been in years.

Oh cool. Youre right around the corner from my families condo

AUDIO DIPPED AND FADED AT 5:30 LAURA 😳😳😳
How strange, I just watched it again and it doesn't seem to dip out for me?

So were you in Mexico City during the 9/19/2017 earthquake? or the 9/19/2022 one?
It shakes more often than that, just usually not as strong as the 2017 and 2022 ones
I was there from 2016-2020 so felt the large one in 2017 and many of varying sizes throughout my time there.
@@AlejandraArenas-h4z Yes, but September 19th are the most famous ones.
Have car rental prices gone up since you were there last?
Not a significant amount - a few dollars a day more than it was in 2021.
two minutes of ads...argh
However, the US State Department recommends that travelers reconsider travel to Baja California because of crime and kidnapping.

Oh, so you get money from insurance companies. That explains why you lie, telling people Mexico is a great place.
Grow up Greg.
Oh, so you are SELLING a book. That explains why you tell people they should move to a country run by organized crime.
People who retire in Mexico have a safe life? Obviously you have no problems lying
