Can you add a heatsink to the SSD when replacing it?
What about replacing the keyboard/top cover? Remove everything and then put it on the new top cover?

Which cable controls the keyboard? I think mine needs a reset (at mininimum) and maybe a replacement (worst case).

@@HPSupport yes. G, h, backspace and arrow keys don't work. Seems to be a common hp fault. I'd want to reseat keyboard cable before replacing it entirely. Drivers are up to date.

delivered today. slot 0 is with 32G DDR5 4800MHz RAM. slot 1 is empty. pondering to add another 32G to it as to become 64G RAM in total! great for light daily office work.😀

What's the working temperature for the M.2 solid state drive? Mine is around 63 Celcius and the fans are always running. It's annoying..

@@HPSupport Hi, I'm using a firefly g9 14 inch. I also made a thread on the official HP support site and the conclusion till now is that there is a combined problem: BIOS Sensor Fan. So the fan is randomly ramping up from 900 RPM to over 2800 RPM in idle. I made a screen capture with monitoring the temperatures and the fan RPM: ua-cam.com/video/v2rf1QnYf4E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=sayris01
My guess is that somebody from hp support schould adjust the fan curves via update.

I have hp firefly zbook 14 g8 without dedicated graphics, 16gb ddr4 ram running on it...
I want to know if that ram is soldered on the motherboard or not? I would like to upgrade it myself if not soldered
Note: my laptop has no dedicated graphics, only running intel iris xe, i5 proccessor

If the notebook is without discrete graphics card, for best ZBook Firefly 14 G8 Mobile Workstation Laptop performance use the maximum amount of 64GB, fill all the slots with the max allowed memory per slot for your Laptop.
