Nice canoe. My parents have had a 28 year old Kevlar Langford Prospector. It has a couple of fibreglass patches, but they still use it all the time. It is a good, tough canoe. I would recommend Langford canoes to anyone.
Thanks! That’s exactly the kind of experiences with langfords I was hoping to hear about. As far as I understand our boat is already about the same age as your parents canoe. In great shape though so we’re hoping to have it for a long time!
I owned a swift pack 13’ -6” for a few years. It was a nice boat to paddle and carry but it was very fragile feeling and I don’t think the new ones are much better. If you can get a decent deal on them, like when swift sells off their rentals in the winter it’s not a bad buy. Although I think it’s deff worth taking a look at langfords and we no nahs as well as they both make really nice boats!
16' Swift Prospector. I have seen The 'Divorce Boat' in action on the first mile of the Allagash River, (Maine) I thought I would have to separate the two of them. She is welcome to go on another trip. him not so much

I could not find a lot of reviews or videos, so I am glad to see it here. I agree about Swift and Nova Craft is good but they tend to be heavier.
We took it for a quick paddle last night and it performed very well! A little unstable feeling when you first climb in but in my experience that means more speed and maneuverability once you learn to trust the boats secondary stability. I might put together a review video on it once I have time to rig it for my cameras. My quick thoughts are that it’s probably faster than a typical prospector and likely just as versatile.

lol I’ve never experienced it first hand since all the tandem canoeists I paddle with seem to get along alright. Maybe I should be more scared?
