What country are you from? And how old are you? Just curious
Yeah sure
Polish, living in UK, 35,! 🤘
@@ScaleHangar182 You're pretty cool dude :D I'm 17 and from the USA. I like to play video games and lift weights. I've been lifting weights for about 3 years and playing video games for 11
@@skoshi_tempest Yeah i forgot about my PS4, trying to finish Days Gone now but too busy modelling :)
@@ScaleHangar182 I play on PS4 too but I mostly play FPS games. I play war thunder and World of Tanks on PC, and on PS4 my top 3 games are: Rainbow 6 Siege, Overwatch, and Need for Speed: HEAT
@@skoshi_tempest of course you play video games, your an american kid and thats probably all you do 24/7.
Awesome build! I served on the Marine Detachment aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN-69 from May-87 till April 89. Awesome to watch them launch and land.
I was onboard Ike during that time, well in the airwing. VA-46.
I was also onboard when you were, but was in the Reactor Department. I really enjoyed watching the Tomcats of VF-142 and 143!
@@scottbuildsthemall5124, I went on to work on F-14's for over half my career. My favorite hands down.

Vfa-31 tomcatters!
Great job. My father was the chief safety inspector for this aircraft while it was in production. It’s by far his favorite aircraft and it has a lot of history in my family as well.
As a former F-14 squadron member, I think you did a great job, especially nailing the inside of the exhaust nozzles where the heat turns the metal a chalky white. Awesome paint job, well done.
And here I was so happy because I managed to apply all the decals on my last project without the slightest rip in any. Oh well, it was a great feeling while it lasted 😊. Amazing project & skills! Keep up the great work!!
Cool build. I like the way this kit is engineered!....love the 80's themed music as well....
Awesome! CAG paint scheme from my era! I helped design the VAQ-139 scheme from the same era (2000 CVW14) as an AT3....was in Approach magazine...love the Felix mascot! VF-31 was right next door to our berthing at the back of the boat on the CVN72, great memories, good guys
Yeah felix is Awesome ! 💪💪
Awesome!! I remember seeing felix 101 at oceana when they retired the f14. She was filthy dirty but beautiful...just like your model. Got a video of red tail felix and black tail like your model doing a bow with 2 other cats that day. Great job!!! We will miss the cats!
Awesome paint job and attention to detail well done
I served in VF-31 when they came up with that paint job, the model is beautiful great job.
Absolutely stunning result, and very useful video with all tricks you show.
I’m a Tomcat fan, and this VF-31 baby is a true heritage to this great plane. Raw, dirty and in the right appearance.
Sad to see they’re not active in US Navy anymore.
This build is exceptional. Definitly one of your best projects. My favorite.
I was on the USS Abraham Lincoln during the 2000 and 2003 deployments. This is a very accurate depiction of the condition of this aircraft while underway, great work!
Thank you very much sir! I'm sure you enjoyed your time working on deck !
2000 Westpac! hey me too! VAQ-139 AT3 Allred... lots of Mode 4 checking up on deck, and sweaty hangerbay troubleshooting and boxswapping...were you Squad or ships company?
Wow , I've been having my eye on this particular kit and your videos just don't give me great tips but they also inspire me . Thanks for taking your time making this video
epic build, waaaay out of my level.
Absolutely love the weathering on this, what a beautiful finished result, that's one happy bombcat.
good job. nice model. ive been building for 45 yrs now. 3 days ago i bought the new trumpeter 1/200 titanic kit with lights.
I build models for over 5 years now. That Titanic model looks really nice
Beauty! Really enjoyed watching this build.
I commented on the unboxing vid that the model wasn't worth the price cause the wings didn't move. I was wrong. BEAUTIFUL MODEL! Great job man.
Maybe that is epic! Beautiful work on a beautiful aircraft! Thanks for sharing!!
After watching this video one thing is clear to me after hearing the song from 25:00 -28:40, "There's so many ways to escape but I guess it's time to wake up, time to wake up. Far too many ways to escape but I guess it's time to wake up, time to wake up."
Wow!Excellent build,love the weathering.Great music also👍👍
Sill catching up with the vids. And this one is phenomenal. A joy to watch and learn. Thank you sir.
Excellent build and excellent music choice!
It seems to be the ultimate F-14 kit, awesome! 🤩👍👍👍👍
Brilliant build mate. I have this kit on order. Looking forward to building it myself.
That is truly a work of art!
A lot of techniques there to bring forth a truly magnificent pussycat. Interesting ways the kit is manufactured and some awesome plastic ejection seats...who needs resin replacements?!
10 out of 10
Fantastic work! Thank you for your ideas! I have this kit on order now...
Amazing work! Watching this build with the soundtrack reminded me of my favorite TV show growing up, “WINGS” on the Discovery Channel!
You can still watch it on UA-cam :)
You can still watch it on UA-cam :)
@@ScaleHangar182 What's the first song? Sounds familiar
What a beautiful build of the ultimate Navy fighter! I am a plank owner of the Lincoln, and although VF-31 was part of the air wing after I was out, I may go with those markings when I get around to building mine. Thanks for the inspiration!
Best F-14 build on UA-cam!
Wow, cheers
Absolutely stunning. Keep up with the great work. Cheers mate.
Nice One and Appreciate a piece of Art in the making to the end! Wish I Had the Patience but Enjoy and slightly envious of those that have. Simply thank You ~ Cheers Xxx
Another masterful job!
Unbelievably awesome build
Thank you!
Still one of, if not the finest, Tomcats I’ve seen! You make me want to kick my skills up! Well done sir!!! 👍
Thank you!
I'm glad to see you were able to decipher the instructions. I'm building this kit now and just finished the cockpit and nose potion, and there have been some moments where I have thought how did this book pass Quality Control. Especially the bars that seem to run parallel to where the canopy seems to sit.
Yes, totally agree, instruction manual was a bit pain.
Just gets better and better....
Nice build
I like how the box said "unassembled model" gee no shit. Great build nice job.
Once again stellar work beautiful paint and weathering it looks real!!!! 👍👍👍👍
FANTASTICOOOOOO...……...Tomcat is best plane from US NAVY and you moved still higher than sky :)………..nice nice....best regards from southern neighbour
AWESOME BUILD
Incredible...... Just simply incredible.
Thank you for this build.👍👍
Awesome nice work Mr. Master Model Builder :)
Phenomenal, man. I hope I can be as good as you one day.
what an awesome designed kit. AMK has the best engineering
Spectacular build my man and great music to go with the process!
New to this channel and finding all of your videos contain amazing work! Definitely inspiring as I might build a plane for my next project.
outstanding work great keep up the good work
That was so satisfying when the nose went on perfectly
Absolutely incredible, can’t say any more than that 💕
Thank you !!!
Great model, like real one, great job my friend, keep building more fantastic models.
Thank you
Your builds never disappoint.
Excellent as always
WOW one of your best yet!
Thank you!
gotta love the synthwave
Me too 😁
Starting to get back into modeling, I was inspired by your video. Awesome work!
Very Nice work!!!! Congratulations from Brazil
I love F-14 flying😍
Just incredible. And of I go to buy the kit. Just wow!
Amazing work!
Cool model!
Your model is above first class!
Another nice build!
Excellent! Simply excellent...
Excellent job my friend...I'm planning on buying this kit later on this year. I'm going to be buying the Academy 1/48 scale F-14A Tomcat to work on my modeling skills first before I take on this kit lol. I'm an older modelers with slightly shaky hands lol...
This one is definitely not a novice model. Maybe for you tamiya kit would be better
@@ScaleHangar182 Thank you very much for the heads-up about the kits...I really appreciate it coming from someone who has the knowledge and skills to let me know what's up with the AMK kit.
Awesome absolutely beautiful. The Tomcat is my favorite NAVY aircraft. Til the next take care my friend
Curious about the choice in loadout... I'm OK with the 4 JDAMs on a F-14D, as it was capable of carrying them and using them. The LANTIRN pod is on the correct station (THANK YOU! :P), but what I'm curious about is the Phoenix. Yes it can be mounted there, yes it has been mounted there, but the loadout combining a single Phoenix with the 4 JDAM's seems a bit dubious to me. The why is more complicated... the Wing Pylon mounted Phoenix has a hell of a lot of drag (so does the LANTIRN pod, I guess) and so it was rarely mounted there. I looked through all the photos I had of F-14's carrying LANTIRN pods and if there is a missile mounted opposite (the vast, vast, vast majority carried nothing there), it was an AIM-7M(H).
I'm also curious about the pose you have her in. I'm sure it was shown to display the awesome amount of detail of the model, but when parked, the F-14 would never be extended out like this. It takes up too much room on the deck of a carrier! :) Even on land, to avoid unnecessary stress on the wing box, the wings were folded back. This required flaps to be up, the leading edge extensions retracted and the spoilerons (over the wing) would be retracted. Also, on a carrier landing, only the DLC spoilers would be up (the smaller inner spoilers), the outer edge ones would be down. They are also not used on carrier landings or on the carrier deck. Their primary function, with weight on the wheels, is anti-skid control and air braking on land based landings. They aren't used on the carrier because the carrier deck coating makes it not necessary. Refueling probe would likewise not be out.
I also noticed the model kit is missing the single most important detail of an F-14 Tomcat! The Yaw String!!! No F-14 should go to war without it! :)
Again, excellent job on the model! Love it!
Originally, I was going to go with different load out, but I placed the wrong pylons. Also the Phoenix missile wss last minute decision as I had sparrow ready but I decided that Phoenix just look better, and this is where we going to positioning aircraft, extended slats, flaps and spoilers and air brakes, yes it looks unrealistic, especially without pilot in there to do perhaps a quick pre flight check. But again, I didnt find the decent looking resin pilots to fit there, so i just decided o make it this way just for display purposes, because I am going to build more tomcats, in different positions and more realistic loadouts. I hope this helped. Oh and yawn string, I was thinking about it at the beginning, but eventually i just forgot 😄
@@ScaleHangar182 I figured as much! :) I'm just a stickler for the details.
Overall, how would you rate this model to build? It's the ONLY model of the F-14 I've seen that has the ability to extend the spoilerons and DLC flaps. I really want to build one in full landing configuration (You know... full on Turkey mode! :P) and build a mural of it landing on the carrier deck. Can't do that with any of the other models.
Great job bro!!! Just great!
Eleganckie wykonanie modelu i jeszcze muza w stylu hotline miami :-D klimat lat 80 mmm :-)
Dokladnie, rodzaj muzyki to Retro Wave jak byś kiedyś szukał
Man what a nice kit the exhaust nozzles are outstanding detail one piece cockpit section impressive the seats very but coushins and belt's could have been better detail instruments could have used a tad more but overall really nice kit. nice work on the build my friend as always.
Turn out great still wonder how you got that black outline to show threw the gray
Great vid..music was fire!
Great build Dawid!
Thank you for a great build! I wonder how many viewers knows how mischievous Felix really is?

Sir, YOU are genius. Love it. Lg Wolfgang

Awesome, but would've been way cooler if you would've installed some leds / fibers to light it up.
Отлично мне понравилось 🖐️👍🤗
Hi SCALE HANGAR....fantastic job. You do hard things easy...jajajaja. I like your jobs and kits. I have got a tamiya f-14d bombcat 1 48 and i hope finishing this model a half your model....😅😅😅.Best regards from Granada,Spain.
Nice works!
Fantastic! Looks like you didn't have any issues compared to some of the other AMK kits we've seen
What do you mean other issues?
@@ScaleHangar182 I've been following a few of the threads over at the SMCG and there are some issues with canopy fit
It's amazing ! Its outlines appearance Looks so real as an actual aircraft that we saw at , How much was that Tomcat ? If someone wished to buy it by Lowest minimum prices for a wisher who wanted to have one from YOU ? ....I the 2nd man also has that feelings to Love it , If this Tomcat was would appear in my hands as a Dream might be true happened , But it is an impossible for that !
I sold my 48 scale tomcats for about $700-$800
So Cool! Anytime Tomcat!
So which kit did you enjoy more, the Tamiya -14 or the AMK -14?
Tamiya mate. Much simpler and easier kit to build.
