- My Summer Games Fest 2024 Reaction/Review
The Summer Games Fest 2024 Live Stream host by Geoff Keighley is supposed to be an exciting event filled with new game announcements for the PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X, but as usual this year's event turned out to be a complete failure and filled with garbage/trash tier indie games at best with generic mobile games sprinkled in that developers pay big bucks to have featured in the Summer Games Fest Live Stream to get the reaction of everyone streaming the event and reacting to it live. It is a great opportunity to get a lot of eyes on your game and Geoff charges $450K per trailer because of this. Overall my review of Summer Games Fest 2024 is that this frankly did not need to exist and just demonstrates how creatively bankrupt the modern gaming industry is. Summer Games Fest 2024 was Absolutely Pathetic and Microsoft has a great opportunity to wow everyone with the Xbox 2024 Games Showcase.

@@xers6704 the switch is a hybrid- most people who own the original switch say they use the console docked mostly. I think the appeal is the exclusives. PS and Nintendo haven't had nearly as many good exclusives to show for in 2 generations. Last of Us 2, Spider Man and the Forza games are probably the only well received ones off the top of my head. Nintendo's had smash hits like Animal Crossing, Smash Ultimate, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom to name a few.
And sure the PS1 outsold the N64. But the Wii absolutely dominated, just shows that Nintendo have won generations of console wars with home consoles. The only time they don't do well is when they don't market things right, *shudders* like the Wii U lol.

@@OtterloopBprobably never a played sonic game older than colors and only saw shadow in the 2005 game and post-2010. Shadow’s not just an edge lord, play sonic adventure 2, sonic heroes, and yes, even sonic 06. His character was written very well in sonic 06. Even 2005 have some alright moments. Post-2010 and Sonic Boom completely butchered his character

Killer Bean. The Dragonball game. Delta force. KCD2. I basically just scrubbed through the rest. L showcase.
KCD2 trailer was the only one that I’ve seen content for previously and the new trailer was worth.
Geoff needs to up his game.
The killer bean game has really impressed me with the scope it's going for. And KCD 2 looking good with the Goat Father Godwin. And of course space marine 2. The problem is that both KCD 2 and SM 2 had little showcases revealing much already.

It honestly depends on your age , your personality, your current state, your mental state, and how busy you are. Generally, it doesn't matter if the game is new or old , good or bad , shooter or puzzle......
The truth is , the more your grow up , the more you realize that video games are just pretty much "video games" , so they don't really have anything to do with reality and the real world in general, and you have to worry in your mind about responsibilities, obligations, your future goals , and other things that are much more important and efficient than playing video games. So yeah , we have just grown out of gaming and video games , since it is basically something artificial, 2D , animated , that isnt real (and it doesn't matter how real, smooth , atmospheric and high quality the graphics and animations are because that still doesn't change the fact that it is just a video game). Sorry if I sound like a boomer from my comment but that is the real truth.

It’s bad that the only things I am excited for are remakes or retro games like power rangers Rita’s rewind, the Thing remake, Killing Time remaster, and delta force black hawk down that comes with hawk ops.
Fighting game players were eating good with the Street Fighter 6 and new Fatal Fury trailers.

When the highlight of the showcase, is seeing the superchats on the livestream telling Geoff to spread his cheeks, that’s when you know your show sucks.
Why do you still tourture yourselves wasting so much time _watching_ these events, people? I get GriffinGaming at least can monetize from watching these slops, but the rest of you must skip these events completely, and only wait for the *summaries and trailers* released _after_ the event end!

I am personally really excited for Lego Horizon Adventures, not just because I’m a PlayStation gamer but because I keep Lego games close to my heart. They are truly something special compared to other video games and they shaped my childhood a lot

The biggest news out of this event is that Sony is now officially making games for Nintendo. They're going to see the success of this Lego Horizon game on Switch and will want more games ported over. Ratchet & Clank, Sackboy and Spiderman seem like good candidates for the Switch audience.
seriously 2024 is such a boring year for gaming , helldivers and palworld were fun but aside from that weve gotten nothing and from what im seeing we arent getting anything else except for stalker 2 (If it doesnt get delayed because dear god has that game gotten delayed alot) and maybe kingdom come deliverance .
