@@jasonandrade5996when you take into account whole show its horrendous. 1000 episodes for 1000 chapters is inexcusable. Unlike naruto, it doesn't even have that much skippable filler so it's even worse. Say what you will about story but the pacing makes it unwatchable. And its not that the pacing is slow because some anime have done it intentionally and it made them great like steins gate which had intentional slow pacing but op pacing is straight up bad because toei wants more money
Anime was soo good in the very very beginning because they had enough material to work with
It's getting really good nowadays because they have the audience and Budget to just make high quality additional shots and animations. And they can even add fillers or delay episodes without too much worries because they have a strong fandom.
But oh boy was one piece anime slow and dragging in the in-between times... When it kinda caught up with the Manga and didn't have the budget to add extra scenes of high quality.
Arcs like Thriller bark and Dressrosa suffered that phase of the anime
@@adityagandhi9882 1000 epsiode for 1000 chapter is actually not that unreasonable in a general sense... But one piece chapters were tiny. One chapter had 1 small scene for an anime and every time they stretched it somehow to an episode.
I actually watched random one piece Episodes only. I'm a full Manga reader and manga is actually better
The walk to Arlong park is an iconic scene in anime history. It was the moment when i said i am watching this 'till the end and i think many other people became one piece fans after this also.
I remember when he didn’t like it due to the art style. Very cool that he enjoys ONE PIECE this much. First impressions maybe important, but sometimes truly giving an anime a chance it may surprise you. ONE PIECE and it’s story telling is true art.
yeah that's a common thing. people think one peice can't be that good cause it looks cartoony. And yet that cartoony style not only helps it stand out it beleis how dark and depressing One Piece can be and the cartooniness helps highliight these aspects as a contrast.
I doubt any other shonen would have shown the female stabbing her own shoulder in desperation.

At first a lot of people find it slow and the animation isn’t the best, but when u go later on, we realized it’s what made it the best. Don’t rush it, take your time, enjoy it!
Hence the journey, not the destination. You'll miss a lot of details if you go at a fast pace.
I just finished Thriller Bark arc. I'm taking my time. Definitely one of the best anime ever.

I dropped the show when i reached the island of the fish men, i couldn't take it anymore i couldn't, after 3 years i resumed and i reached dressrosa, it was so slow, i took a break for 1 month, after i resumed i reached cake island, big mom was disturbing shouting wedding cake, after all i recently finally reached the land of wano, the start was slow too but it's worth it, today I'm at episode 979

i dont think people truly understand what we mean when they recommend one piece to them,this show is literally one of if not the most inspirational pieces of fiction i have ever watched in my life to the point that im torn between wanting it to have an amazing ending to not wanting it to end.
I love the fact that luffy didnt even know who nami enemy was or was he did to her. Just her words was enough to make him fight arlong. Luffy is the man i need in my life😂

honestly such a smart way to post reacts to this because as great as show one piece most of the things people watch reactions to are moments like these, so you don't have to edit a bunch of videos for minimal views while we get the best moments and the option of the full show if wanted while still moving through the show at a fast past never seen anyone do it like that before
Everyone and their mothers knew you were going to fall absolutely head over heels in love with One Piece because how can anyone not fall madly in love with the show after watching these episodes ? Literally impossible.

Every origin story from each crew member of the Strawhats are incredibly epic. You truly fall in love with each and every character, and it has stood the test of time. The show only gets better (if you can tolerate the filler)
My solution to the filler is to just not watch it 🤷

The filler ain't even that bad and there ain't even a lot of it. Naruto is like, 50% filler and don't get me started on Bleach. And it's _BAD_ filler too. One Piece filler may miss here and there but for the most part it's decent.

I too am watching one piece for the first time. I just made it to episode 274 after Luffy achieves a certain something and I can confirm these past few months of binging have been some of my favorite months in a while. I am privileged to join Nick on the One Piece journey.
I love this damn show so much I've ordered myself a Straw Hat Pirates flag. They make you laugh, make you cry, and make you feel the most damn hype possible with scenese of people "just walking".

This scene explains who Luffy is as a character and why he's my favorite.
He doesn't know Nami's story, what happened on this island, who Arlong is, what he looks like or what he did.
He saw nami crying while screaming some dude's name. She asked him for help and he didn't need any more context to go beat him up XD
Arlong could've been her big brother's name and Luffy would've beaten his ass first just to be safe XD

As others have said, there are many other heartwrenching backstories in One Piece. But for me, the voice acting by Nami's voice actress here tops all the other scenes in that aspect.

These specific scenes are how everyone fell for One Piece, and sure that applies to me, but in my case, it's also how I learned to instantly cry on command.
It also helps to use ごめんね (gomen ne) and the donut scene. 😭
What's cool about the live action is that there was an interview with Emily Rudd, who plays Nami, and she said Oda was screened on this scene and said it was perfect. There's hope for the live action.
