Best video I've seen yet on roof sheathing removal on gambrel sheds. It's the small tips regarding demolotion methods and safety that I need to rehearse on. Been watching such videos for weeks, and your video shows the enth details of this phase of re-roofing, specific to gambrel sheds. Huge thanks from this rookie senior with osteo issues who will have to do this job alone! Can't get the husband to help. Cant afford to pay hired help. You're my hero!

Hats off to you for not saying a bad word when you fell through the roof. I have put a dime in the cuss box for less!

    Excellent advice!
I need to fix my sheds roof along with replacing all roofing boards and walls.
    I'm overwhelmed 😅
This is something I'm about to tackle alone without any experience.
I think it's still going to be more affordable than building new since the structure is fine. I'm loving these videos, Thank you so much it's really helpful!!

Just take your time and invest in a tarp make sure you have 2 full days of sun to give yourself max time since you’re alone with no experience

Thanks for sharing! Especially the parts where things don't go to plan and need fixing, those are the tips that help the most

I have only one critique. You don't need to cut the first row of shingles you can just install them upside down so it just saves a step. Other then that awesome video!

Hi! Very informative video. I’m going to try to reroof my rotting shed in the back. It’s definitely a piece of work. However, it doesn’t have shingles like normal roofs, it just has tough like sandpaper on top of it. I don’t know if the past owners already removed the shingles, and that was on top of it. I’m excited to fix it. Thank you!

If you're going to replace the plywood, why bother pulling up the old shingles first?

I had a similar instance where my foot fell through a hole like that, well it fked up my knee real bad and almost took me out of commission, stuff to be taken serious.

Any idea of how many total hours this took including the plywood replacement? I'm trying to plan out my job on a nearly identical shed. Also, would you need the roofing spade if you are completely replacing all of the plywood or could you just knock it all out from underneath with the shingles still attached?

What kind of plywood did you use??

Almost perfect! Applying the shingles is a bit more tricky than you let on. What about nail size (so they do not go through roof?) In all though, thanks much for the video!

Omg I laughed so loud at the roof accidents at the beginning that I became embarrassed. Apologies. Those guys could’ve been seriously hurt.

Would you need to remove all shingles before knocking off the plywood? I have an old shed roof with OSB rotted in spots..looking to do the same

I enjoyed watching this. Wish you lived next door and you could do mine! LOL Do hope you are okay. Maybe one of those cameras that you wear on your shoulders like the police wear?

Hi from Vancouver Island Canada. I am researching doing the same reno with my old shed roof. Question. Did you paint the exterior of your shed now that it has a great roof?

Could you not just leave shingles on and knock roof all off?? My shed needs pretty much all of them replaced.

Too much video on tear off no video of the actual shingle placement especially the starting rows
