- I've done other videos on Kobalt tools. The 40 volt trimmer, the 24 volt leaf blower, and the 24 volt chainsaw. I'also did a video on reloading the trimmer spool. This video is about the light weight 24 volt trimmer and blower combo from Lowe's. I will be using these at our camper.

There is a better trimmer head available: EGO AH1530 Rapid Reload head.
It is a bump feed head that you don't have to take apart to reload. It can use the .095 line.

Great video. Just bought this same 24V combo kit yesterday. Except for, have you also had trouble identifying which Kobalt replacement spool or string to buy for the 24V trimmer?
I usually just wind my own.
I just paid $149 about a week ago.... inflation sucks doesn't it? I wont open it though until I've watched your video! I bought it because I kept slicing through my extension cords and wanted something light and easy to use on my deck for blowing off all the stuff that falls on it on the daily or every other day.
Really good video! I went and used the blower on half my driveway and it worked pretty well. I can already tell the battery will run out quickly, so luckily I bought a mini chainsaw too that has the extended version of the 24 volt. I liked and subscribed! Going to your chainsaw video now :) - I know that creators always want to hear about ads running, and youtube put 5 ads on your video - some were unskippable so better for you - you deserve it!
The trigger is giving me problems on my trimmer. Now Lowes is giving me problems returning the tool that is still under warranty.
Instead of exchanging it for a new one they want to refund my money. Problem is I'll have to pay the difference for a new tool. Home Depot just got a lot more of my business!
Worse part is doing a exchange or refunding my money seems to be up to the individual managers of Lowes stores. They can even demand that you bring every piece of a set back even if you are having problems with only one tool. I even have the original receipt! How can a company say they offer a 5 year warranty on their tools and then pull garbage like this? They make up the warranty as they go. And to think they sell 6 7 $800.00 Kobalt mowers! And they'll pull crap like this if you have a problem with one??? My advice is find another store and tool manufacturer.
I went to a different store this past Sunday and that store did an even swap
. I have a new battery 🔋, blower, and trimmer. They had the same set I bought originally.

I had planned to buy a cordless trimmer and was ready to purchase a Black & Decker combo trimmer and blower because of the good reviews. Then I saw you had a video on the Kobalt and after watching thought I would check it out at Lowes. The 5 year tool and 3 year battery warranty, along with the $129 sale price and your recommendation I made the purchase. Seems to be an excellent purchase and works well. My only complaint is the battery takes longer to charge than instructions indicate. After initial full charge and using it till it quit the recharge required almost two hours. I had purchased an additional battery because of needing a back-up anyway. No big deal but was hoping for a little quicker recharge time.
You did a good job explaining everything as you do in all of your videos.

I just got a 24v string trimer on sale and you are not going to believe it, it was $22 Dollars. What? Didn't have a battery but it is fine cause I have some from my drills. Thanks for your info makes me feel better about the 24v trimer

I guess you can, but I actually bought the matching edger. I have a video on that alos.

I noticed on mind if I do it without the guard and The line is than a 12" cut It will not run continuosly.
Thanks for the video. I just purchased a home and need a mower, weed eater, and blower. My lot is small, less than a 1/4 acre but I live in Florida so the grass is thick. Any recommendations between the 40v package vs. the 24v package? Not sure which way to go...
Either will work. But the 40V should last longer and have a little more power.

Can't say for sure.
Seems like the deal of the day Barry, but why not take the older ones to the trailer that's only 20v and keep the 24v for around the house?
Then next year when they upgrade the batteries to 36v you can keep upgrading and switch them out because the new batteries NEVER interchange to fit the older style 🤔
The bigger one is 40 Volt.

I just purchased this set and as long as you are using the trimmer the way he did in the video as opposed to using it on something like cane grass I don't feel like you'll be disappointed. Plus the 24 volt battery works on an entire line of tools that include three different sized impact guns and a ratchet! I love my trimmer and blower so far. I do recommend one thing, use a edger instead of a trimmer for edging, you'll stay a lot cleaner and you'll save a lot on line plus you'll get your edging done in half to a quarter of the time.
I got this combo for Mother’s Day, because I really wanted it, and because my son listens to me.🙂 I wish I had found your video before I struggled through putting it together without your help. But it gave me confidence to know I had assembled it correctly. I love it too! I plan on buying more Kobalt tools, so I subscribed to your videos. Thank you for confirming I did the assembly correctly.
Found mine today for $149 with my military discount at Lowes came to 135 tax out the door 142.
I recently got one. Battery fully charged but when I try to turn it on it doesn’t stay on. I had messed with the line a little bit. Could it be that? It’s brand new

Got paint dust in one of my batteries from my sander while it was in the toolbox not attached,it flashed so I blew it out. Been workin fine for a year now.

Not specifically. Sorry.
I didn't keep the time, but the battery kept overheating so I had to wait about half an hour for it to recover twice before going on. Very annoying. It was all up against concrete block, if that makes any difference. But when done I'd guess total time running was an hour and it had two bars left. Otherwise, I like the trimmer. I paid $200 for the combo from Lowe's in September, 2021. I didn't like that.

So I just went to Lowes this past Sunday and bought this combo after watching your video. I was impressed with this product. The weed eater done a great job. It was more than what I expected.
I own the Kobalt 40v hedge trimmer that I have been using for over four years and was super impressed with it as well. I have a lot of shrubs to cut around my home and the charge on the battery will outlast me working. I would definitely recommend this combo set!
