  • I was curious as to how many cuts I could make with my Kobalt 24 Volt brushless chainsaw. Wood size varied. Only one way to find out.

    I like kobalt. I have two 40 volt 14 inch chainsaws, weed eater, and leaf blower, with a lot of batteries. I find having a lot of batteries to be very useful

    Just got one for Christmas. I was a little disappointed it wasn’t gas. Now after using it I have changed my mind. This thing is a little beast! And no gas can to deal with. Very happy with it.

    Very impressive. A lot more cuts than I would have guessed. I have several of these 24V batteries and trees much smaller to cut so it will fulfill my need for sure. Thanks for posting.

    I just purchased a 5 piece, 24 volt Kobalt tool set from Lowes. I've only been working with it for 2 days and it has yet to disappoint. I'll get one of these chainsaws.
    Thank you for sharing.

    Nice! If I hadn't bought a corded 16" chainsaw for a broken tree a while back, I would definitely pick up one of these! Had good luck with my other Kobalt 24v tools.

    Holy cow. I did not expect to get even half of what you did with only one battery. Just think how many more cuts you could have made using the 6 amp hour battery?
    I am impressed to say the least.
    Great video, thanks for posting it.

    Super happy with review. I just purchased this and watched your unboxing video to see if I did it right and the chain tension. I've never done anything like this before. Since my husband passed away there has been a lot of these "never dones" This little blu demon looks impressive, and just what I need for cleaning up. Appreciate your videos, keep em' coming.

    I seen one of these a few days ago and almost bought one $117 then but decided the little woman might not want a chainsaw.. She came home yesterday after being at daughters house for a few days because of snow here.. I told her I was thinking about buying her this saw, but didn't know if she would want one or not.. Well, today she called a few minutes ago asking how much and the weight of this little saw, etc. and seems like she might be about ready to buy one... I checked around and now the cheapest I can find is at Lowes for $129.00 on sale with tax around 139.00.. Anyway, I seen this youtube video so I thought I'd check it out to see your thoughts on it... I have a a 1st gen for 5 years and last spring bought a 2nd gen. 80v chainsaw... The 2nd Gen. is stronger and almost twice as fast. I love it. I cut my own wood on my place here.. This little saw would be great and much lighter for small cuttings.. Thanks for the video and have a great day..

    At this point I would not trade in my Stihl 026 chain saw. Best saw ever made! I have used mine professionally for many years and it still is in great shape. I wonder what a saw would be like it it was really made to last and was electric? Maybe one day.

    • @davebrittain9216
      @davebrittain9216 3 роки тому

      @Honda buyer Not very convenient for professional work at this point. Maybe in a few years. A hundred cuts is fine for the back yard home owner but when you do thousands in a day it is not viable.

    • @davebrittain9216
      @davebrittain9216 3 роки тому

      @Honda buyer I really wonder how the price of some things work. I would like to see a break down of what the materials cost to make a product like a gas chain saw vrs an electric one. They pop things out of robotic assembly lines by the millions. It boils down to how much the materials cost and how much power is used to produce them. Of course there is tech on top as well as R and D. I remember quite a few years back I needed a new seat for my commercial mower where I worked. I called the dealer and the seat was over 1100 dollars and they did not sell replacement cushions. I thought that was crazy so maybe I could get it recovered for less. When I tore the seat apart is said "Michigan Seat Company" on a label inside. I called the company and the guy on the other end of the phone was shocked. He told me that they sold those seats to the manufacturer for 67 dollar for the entire assembly. He sent me new cushions as samples for free. I think we get gouged as a normal practice from companies these days.

    I’ve been debating between this saw or the makita 10” or M12 Hatchet. I run dewalt, Milwaukee and Kobalt battery lines.
    Use will be odds and ends around the house but mainly as part of my off road kit. Small ish trees across the trail etc.
    What say ye?

      Its been 6 months so Im sure you've already made a choice. But the kobalt XTR recip saw is awesome. I cut stuff as big as the blade will allow. Paired with a 4 amp hour battery it last a good while too.
