Ebay, antique stores, and thrift stores (Etsy is usually overpriced). I see them all the time. But, you don't have to use just milk glass. Tea cups, glass, metal - just about anything that's of a size that's good for you. On a side note, I don't use batting. I find it compresses and makes it harder to push the needles in, and it will dull needles faster. I use finely crushed walnut shells, which is pretty cheap (I buy it from Home Depot).
Wow. Adorable. I found that the glass dish was pretty easy to find on Etsy but it probably depends on the day. Sooooo cute. But honestly my favorite part are the little holes for clips and scissors. Brilliant.
This is sew cute! Do you have a video that shows how to make the dresden design? I have one of these dishes but have never learned how to make the dresden part. Thank you.
So cute . I’m using an old dollie to make one. Thank you
Super sweet! Thank you!!!❤
You are so welcome!
Adorable and so practical! The hard part is finding these vintage milk glass dishes.
You are so right! I have found one at a yard sale for $1 and paid $20 for others! Best of luck!

So adorable! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the tutorial! Have you ever used a wool dryer ball to “stuff” the pincushion, and fill in with batting to make it large enough?
I have not! But I have used extra batting pieces at the base to fill in before adding the Polyfil 💛
