When he asked "have you ever felt like you always come last?" 😢😢 After all he witnessed and then took care of his siblings... he still is left without peace of mind. Such a tragic and sad story.

🇨🇦😭 i feel sick for Fernando! The stress this young man has had on his shoulders is horrifying! I certainly hope and pray that he's granted his asylum! His siblings wouldn't have been brought to safety without him being so courageous, without his strength and determination! Thank you so much for sharing this documentary. I really hope they do a follow up the day he received his asylum!?

if these films were shown in school here it would really open up young people’s eyes to help them understand how hard it is for people in other countries to survive the lawlessness that’s rampant. i hate that our culture glorifies gangs and crime . i would like to see a documentary about the gangs and the kids that grow up in them to survive.

Even though I am a Hispanic immigrant from South America, I do not agree with this "documentary". I know and feel bad for many people who sincerely went thru difficult and life changing situations, I'm in no way talking about them, but the big majority it's trained to say the things that will get you get your legal status here I. the US, I was many time told what could I do to fix my status. We know what we can get from the government, paid education for our kids, they will give you a monthly income weather you work or not, and other innumerable economic benefits. Sadly the *VAST MAJORITY* only wants to get the benefis no matter the lies needed to be told, and that causes a *HUGE* disservice to the ones who truly need the help.
This "film" is just activism at its worst! Trying to make something illegal to become "normal" for the sake of power.

This documentary just proves the fact that they should stay in their own countries. As soon as the parents abandoned their 4 kids “to give them a better life” they were raped, extorted and threatened. The kids even said that before the parents left they had a great life. They played outside and nothing bad ever happened. Their parents are so selfish and greedy and now look... their daughter was gang raped and they still don’t have the life they thought they would. Deport them all back and allow them to enjoy their lives in peace without the worry of ICE. 🙏🏻❤️

I feel exactly like Fernando. I was physically and emotionally abused my whole lif,e in the streets and also in the house I grew up, I was abandoned by family, travelled thousands of miles away from them and still to this day struggle to feel I deserve something good. I took care of them when they needed, after all the evil they have done to me, yet they did it all over again as soon as they got better and stopped needing me. I lived in the streets, ate garbage, never been into drugs or violence, always tried to study and learn, even when the stars were my roof. I just wish I could hug Fernando, cuz he'd understand me. At least he does have a caring family. I never had anyone, just abusers =(

Fantastic documentary. So sad that people have to endure these horrific things, especially children. I'm hoping and praying for the best for this family especially Fernando and also all the people who are facing persecution, oppression, hunger, terror, and a lack of opportunity in their countries. Here in the U.S. yes there is poverty and hardship and it's a major problem that we shouldn't have because of the amount of resources. However, the US has opportunities and options for safety.... that's the biggest difference and reason people seek refuge here. Be kind and compassionate...everyone has a right to life.

Throw Away do u feel guilty? If so, why? These people don’t tell their story so we can feel guilty. It’s so we understand that they come to the US in hope for a better life. They’re not asking for hand outs. They’re here to work hard . They probably work harder then us Americans. I see nothing wrong with immigrants who come to the US requesting asylum the right way. Grant them asylum for 5 years w zero tolerance. If they break a law send them bk immediately. And before you go off I’m a republican and proud Trump supporter.

    • @AliceSpaxxx

@Throw Away if it means that this way we can save young children from seeing and being murdered YES. there should be NO LIMIT. Who are you to judge who should stay and who not? It's easy to talk for you....when you're save and don't have to worry about things like these kids have seen. So pls just shut up. At least documentaries like this show some people that have no idea the truth. THROW AWAY your stupid opinion. But I am sure you just want to make America "great again" am I right?

    • @roja7426
      @roja7426 4 роки тому +5

Throw Away The documentary wasn’t about being poor. It was about how they were targeted in their own country where they were supposed to be safe. Their family members were being killed right before the kids eyes. Let’s put you there in Honduras and let’s see how you would survive while being targeted by unscrupulous people or raped like the girl in that family. Yes, the world is full of poor people but these people aren’t looking for riches. Did you notice the work Fernando was doing? Would you be willing to stand in the hot sun and do physical labor for 12 hours? Is he taking away an “American” job? He is doing jobs that most people wouldn’t do. So, stop presuming.

Very Touching documentary on such a Delicate subject. I wish there was a way of weeding out all the cases that were based on fraud, lies, exaggeration, so all the legit cases could be handled speedier. Everyday of uncertainty, anxiety and fear impacts these individuals in ways that some may never recover from. In worse case scenario they go through all this torture only to be denied and deported in the bed. We also must forget how asylum is a privilege & gift which one should never take for granted. Many forget this and try to make it seem its a right and this attitude makes it worse for all those trying to do the right thing. Sending lots of Positive vives and Prayers to all those of desperate need of this HOPE.

I’m an immigrant, and A couple of months after I had turned 20. I said to myself “US citizens do not realize how privilege they are, here if you need food you get food if you need shelter you get shelter if you need school you get school”. I would die a million times for the USA any day and wouldn’t think about it twice.
Unfortunately people that pass thru here illegally and exploit the system. Mess it up for people who are doing things by the book. Trust me the hardest thing is to leave your native country. I came here when I was 8 and I cried till I was 18 pleading to go back. My parents would always tell me “one day you’ll understand”, I Felt like a prisoner I would smile here and there but in my heart of hearts I truly despise them. I had left My friends, my backyard (that was in my mind a movie studio), and my dog. I wound up in a cold dark concrete jungle alone no friends no brothers or sisters. I will say to myself “why did my parents do this to me they see that I’m crying and suffering nothing nothing why do they hate me so much” as I got older my friends became my brothers and sisters, And my mortal enemies went back to being mom and dad and my best friends(I love you) LOVE YOUR PARENTSI. You see The problem is not the legal or the illegals coming to the USA . It’s the politicians of these countries. Don’t let those politicians make your life so miserable that you have to leave your own country. Be the change you want to see in the world. Smiling is contagious so keep smiling keep smiling.

what you say is true, but realize the US commits economic warfare towards every country it wants to dominate. So which ever your homeland is most likely its impoverished because the US demanded it so. And when you come here to pay taxes, you are giving the US govt more power to do harm to tour homeland. Important angle to consider. Better to stay and develop amd help your own people.

Now my nephew is left, alone in Ethiopia, my brother (his father) has passed away 12 years ago and we are struggling to help him come here. I wish the immigration system was better. All of my other family came on diversity lottery, now it's closed and no lawyer is willing to help us get him here. God bless ALL immigrants near and far, may God protect them in their journey and follow their footsteps of faith. I am so happy to hear things are going better for you, especially mentally. Yes, and they speak of living with their aunt as well! They seem to keep telling her about it. Such a difficult time in their life, I can imagine, because they seem to keep telling her about it! When her daughter was talking about being without her mom at 21:29, you can see the frustration in Karen's (the mom's) body language having to hear about it again. It's like she tries to tell them that she it for all of them to get a chance at a better future, yes it was a very difficult 4 yrs, but it hopefully it goes well here on out and was a sacrifice that was worth it! So so sad!

I hope and pray their entire family is able to stay. I can't even fathom any other outcome for them, they've already lost so much. Too much. Even if it was 'just' the time apart. Si, y no.

Excellent presentation of this story of Fernando's family. I'm happy that the US approved the 3 children's papers and my heart breaks for them especially Fernando. I don't understand why his immigration.paper wasn't approved. There father rarely speaks but in his face I can see his love and sorrow for his children. He works hard to provide for his family. Together with the mother they provide love, warmth and strength for the kids.
I can relate best when China said it was truly difficult when she was in her teens without her Mom. This is a beautiful family. I felt grateful for the American lady who helps process the children's.papers. After all what Fernando has gone through, I hope & pray Fernando's immigration paper will be approved soon. Im from the Philippines and watching this video makes me deeply grateful to God
for all that my family have. On this note, may I say my heart and prayers go out to all individuals and families around the world who at the moment are suffering and have suffered from the hands of their fellowman.🥀 Dear Jesus, please we pray for your Divine intervention on our sufferings, help us. Do you create more empathy? I believe people have the ability to empathize or they don't. I empathize but I am not supportive of wide open borders which comes with a load of horrors itself. America didn't cause the societal issues in these other countries. Those governments have responsibility. These people want to be in America because America is a great place to live. If socialist Democrats get their way, america will be a lot poorer and won't be able to support as much as we do now. Changes are needed and we can help even more people if america thrives economically. Trump was making this a reality which is the irony behind people hating him. Ihope he wins again because if he does everyone will see after another 4 years what was really going on. If he loses the evil central bankers win and america will be on its way to being broke and subjugated. People will realize when its all too late. Trump is not against immigration. He is against wide open borders. Big difference. At the start the boy describes his father being murdered. Those are exactly the people we must keep out as they will bring the conditions these people are trying to escape with them. Immigration the right way is a beautiful thing. Lets improve that and go from there. Be wise.

I am keeping in my prayers & my heart; after seeing this story I want to find a way to help. It is not right, what is happening with children caught crossing into the US, and many of us that have lived here have no idea about the truth of what our country is doing - keeping children from their families & deporting some members & letting other's stay - breaking the families apart. You are such a strong and good young man, please Fernando do not let this break you. I am praying to God for you every night in my prayers, and am hoping we will get to hear the rest of your story when your court date comes!
