She tried to seem so hardass as if she was going to catch this normal woman traveling for her business with tons of cocaine on the way back and the look of embarrassment on her face for wasting not only the woman’s time who was traveling but her colleagues as well. Definitely not her first time for falsely accusing a traveler for bringing in contraband. It's a little weird that she was going to stay here for only one day. If I flew to Trinidad it wouldn't be for only one day. Trinidad has border security too, you know. Everybody does.
Also, it's weird that they couldn't verify anything she said to them, and she was using a debit card that didn't have her name on it. It's not common to check someone's ID to make sure it matches the debit card, but if anyone did, they would question what's going on, right?
There's several factors that lead them to question her more:
-coming here for only one day
      -contact doesn't answer phone
-doesn't have hotel set up already
-has debit card with someone else's name
-coming from Trinidad, which Homeland Security had identified as a common source of addictive narcotics
Their job is to help protect the national security of the USA. OF COURSE they are going to look into something like that. Turned out to be nothing, but it was a little weird. If you were a border security officer, you would have questioned her, too.
