I admire your skill, great, great work on building molds, she's coming around, I'm looking at ripping apart my 1976 Wellcraft 25 foot, I'm thinking of turning it into a center console, my boat is actually a 1976 Wellcraft 250 Nova and converting it to outboards.
Great work man, I envy your skills! Not sure if your cuddy is big enough to lay down inside, but if so have you thought about leaving the 2 side windows for the cuddy? On my Sea Ranger 19, I have 2 similar size cuddy windows that are nice to have when inside chillin in the cuddy. Anyway, great videos and enjoying the work you’ve done on your boats! 🍻
I like the traditional look of your top house. Did you try out a mock up of a reverse forward angle on it? That would be a bit more modern and it gives a lot of free room for mounting radar screens etc. One other advantage to the reverse mount is that it eliminates a great deal of sun glare. Also tends shed more of the water before it comes over the top in sloppy conditions whereas the traditional angle does nothing to stop a breaking wave from running up and over. All in what a guy wants. I welded up an aluminum frame on my 17' rig to replace the old windshield frame and forever have been kicking myself for not trying the rev erse mock up when I saw someone else's. I had thought it would look unbalanced and I was wrong big time. Would have given me a place to put my crowded electronics and with a small hardtop (I went soft top) I could have carried my shrimp and crab pots up on top. All in what a guy likes.
Thanks for watching Douglas, I sure did and didn’t like at all. Definitely didn’t work with the existing dash and cabin. But I do love the look of the reverse forward angle! 😊
Gunna be mint mate! If I could like the vid twice I would.
