Hey mate Loving to see the updates on this build and I’ve been following you since the Voyager build. Your attention to detail is impeccable (better than me) and it’ll be reflected in a magnificent boat in the end!! Keep it up and looking forward to the next installment.
Mate , I got excited when it was all white, a hint of what’s to come. You attention to detail and patience . Credit to you mate it’s looking mint can’t wait to see the end proficct
I refurbished a 6m blaxell Surfrider, did the floor transom and a new outboard pod as well as a wave breaker, took me almost 2 years to do, so I definitely understand how long it can take, love the work mate keep it up 👌
Incredible the amount of effort that goes into doing the job well. Fantastic stuff, I'm enjoying the journey and can't wait to see the finished product.
G’day Angry Mack, hope you’re doing okay. Any more updates on the boat coming soon? Really keen to see, I’m lovin your work you’re all doing such an amazing job 👍
Solid videos! I am in the process of restoring a 1978 Grady White 204c Overnighter. I started this project this summer. Your videos are turning into my playbook! What is your homemade bog recipe? Did you use polyester resin for the majority of the build?
Are vinyl wraps popular "down under"? I see a lot of boats and cars here on UA-cam in the US and Canada getting wrapped instead of fancy paint finishes.
What’s great about wraps is the ease to remove them and change design. They are starting to become a thing in Australia in the boating world! Not as big as US but definitely growing!
Gday mate when i did my guide coat i bought a powder you have probably seen it with mine i had a white hull and a fantail sides and white topside 2 coats of epotech epoxy primer 4:1 and 3 coats 2 pack polyurethane all rolled and tipped on , one side at a time so including the transom i have done 30 coats of paint people watch these videos and think i can do that wait till they try it aint no joy ride im 63 and this is my last one (haha) keep the faith nick it will be worth it in the end.
Lots of help and repetitive. Very labor intensive. Requires an eye for details. Fairing until reasonably smooth. Various techniques: rough spots, low spots, color highlights, visual & touch. Multiple ways to sand.
Thoroughly enjoying your channel. Can't wait for the next chapters following the priming of your boat!

Hey mate! Been a busy few months with personal life, starting boat again soon!
I think the idea with guide coats is that they are uniformly applied so that when you sand, you can equally see everywhere whether its high or low.

@@AngryMackAdventures Also if you damage the wrap I believe it's just peel the damaged piece off and stick on the new one.
