Important note;
Katana, unlike most other kinds of swords, are very, very easy to change the appearence of. This is because of how they are assembled, using a bamboo (or sometimes metal) peg through a set of holes in the tang and grip. The kashira (pommel cap) is held on /by the ito/ or by other pegs, and the rest is simply held in place by the grip pressing it against the heels of the blade.
Removing 1 or 2 pegs (called mekugi) allows you to completely remove the entire hilt. This is usually done for cleaning or if the blade isn't going to be used for long periods of time and is going into storage mounts (shirasaya) that don't trap as much moisture and won't rust the blade.
It is most likely Hitetsu designed the fittings for Ame no Habakiri to contrast with Enma's intentionally, to make them a mated set.

ONE BIG DRAW BACK FROM YOUR prediction of Zoros blade breaking in the big fight in wano is that mihawk shamed zoro for damaging his blades, im sure mihawk taught him to never damage or break his swords again
Not sure how much Zoro could do about a sword shattering if he attempts to cut something that is simply too hard with all his might.
jablue thing is he was trained to keep them from breaking, but true they can break but he WAS trained for such a thing prob learned better techniques at stopping that from happening

What if there is a reiDai Kitetsu, (0) that was made during the VOID Century, and is on Laughtale Island
maybe yondai Kitetsu if anything, and it was made by the original Kitetsu
"0th generation" doesn't make much sense, but if it exists, it should be the one in Samurai Gandhi's possession.

@@ryanpiotr1929 We don't know anything about the original creator of the Shodai Kitetsu blade yet, just that there is a group of blade makers under the school Kitetsu. We assume the Shodai was made by Kitetsu himself, but it would be the Yondai Kitetsu is the original Blade, and is made using the Advanced technical prowess of the Void Century, Whose facsimile was powerful enough to create the Shodai Kitetsu, a Legend of this Era. Basically if we look at the reduction of power, it's possible for the blade Kitetsu himself made isn't even one of the three, and Knowledge of it is hidden behind the veil of the Void Century.

We know he cannot lose his Wado. We know he is not going to lose Enma one battle after getting it (because it's a proper replacement for Shusui, because of its backstory, because of its haki draining quality, and because his probably unwitting flirting with Hiyori, true heiress of Enma). We know he will leave Wano carrying the Nidai. Sandai has to go, sadly. Though I hope it does not get destroyed
Yea thought the same recently got into OP and got caught up Sandai shouldn’t get broken he will prop exchange it for the Nidai
Another possibility is that Tenguyama forges a new blade specifically for Zoro after the battle. It could be the Yondai Kitetsu, or something else. Because Tenguyama is definitely a really good swordsmith, Ame no Habakiri is an amazing blade.

As cool as it sounds, using blood as part of the forging process, it's not something ya ever want to do!
It compromises the chemical structure during any phase of thr forgiving, even if you usr only a few droplets in what is used during a quenching.
You could use blood, but don't be surprised when it either rusts suoer fast, or just straight up snaps or breaks without it even hitting any thing.

Great video! Honestly would be interesting if you made a video talking about hitesu making more blades but in a large quantity for the final battle of one piece.
I'll mention the sword grades like this:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4rth grade swords.
In my opinion the 1st grade swords are all 2nd grade swords which have been blackened and upgraded to 1st grade.
So if zoro has 3 2nd grade swords he'll eventually turn them permanently black with his haki. Upgrading them to 1st grade swords.
And blackening a sword is a hard journey it means implementing your will into the sword permanently and not everyone can do that.
Zoro will get the 2nd grade kitetsu and that'll be his last sword. Having 3 2nb grade swords and changing then into 1st grade is a big accomplishment.
It's not like whenever you see a higher rank sword and you want Zoro to have it. It doesn't work that way.
A true swordsmen can cut with a normal knife and a normal person can't even cut with the world's strongest blade.
That's the way it works.
Zoro has Wado, Enma, and Kitetsu the 2nd. And that's it.
No new swords.
maybe hitetsu makes a new sword for zoro thats all his own

I've had thoughts about hitetsu merging both the nidai and sandai but i don't think it's gonna happen.

I know for christianity during the old times that purple color signifies holy. I know for japan blue is used for samurai. Maybe thats why thats the color palette?
You've talked about Luffy awakening his fruit, and if it allows him to give other objects the same properties he has. What if Zoro gave Luffy just a few pointers on how not to suck, and we get Luffy with a wacky waving inflatable sword?
FYI! I devoured the Harry Potter books in my teens when I got my hands on a new one, 3 days tops. I even started buying the English version(native Swed) when "The goblet of fire" came out in the 2000 and I was 13 YO, it was one of my first bought items of the internet!

My theory is that Zoro ends up with all 3 cursed blades. Zoro will return Enma in exchange for Nidai Kitetsu, he will return Wado Ichimonji to Kushiro after it becomes a Meito (at the end of the story) and use Shodai Kitetsu.

Future reference the color purple/lavender was originally only worn by the most wealthy of the most important people. The reason very few, if any, country flags have purple in it was because purple dye was worth more than its weight in gold. Imagine every flag on a ship or building being dipped in gold, so basically too much of an expense for any country. I forget when purple dye became economical but during the inception of most countries it just wasn't feasible or else it would have been more prominent.
U kno how we seen a reaction the moment zoro unsheathed Enma.... I can see something similar happening with the Nidai... like zoro picks up the Nidai and the moment he removes the sword from the scabbard, everything in the background gets cut atomic samurai style. Truly petulant blade #epic

I think the color scheme of the kitetsu implies that these swords has their own personality.
Sandai Kitetsu (Red - aggressive) - the rebellious one
Nidai Kitetsu (Lavender blueish color - calm and collected) - the chill one but can sense a strong person
Not enough screen time for the Shodai kitetsu tho.
Maybe the sandai kitetsu was in wano but the same person that left wano with the clone-clone fruit and barrier-barrier fruit to the east, took the sandai kitetsu and somehow lost it in loguetown along with the barrier-barrier fruit (where Bartolomew most probably found the fruit)

probably quite a few people have come up with this little idea before, but here I go again.
I was thinking, when Hawkins "read" Luffy's and Zoro's luck they were both holding cursed blades; could it be that it affected somehow the "reading" and made it seem like their probability of defeating Kido is worse than it actually is?
The scene of at some later moment him re-reading their fortunes and being flabbergasted that they actually do have a good chance of victory (since Luffy at least is not holding a cursed blade anymore) keeps playing in my head
I like the light color of the Nidai Kitetsu. It's less alarming, but it gives off a false sense of security, it's like one of those killers who doesn't like like a murderer, but it actually twisted deep down.
I haven't even watched the video yet and I've already liked it.

I was really hyped(the only think I wanted to know in this whole Arc) to get the Info who has some supreme blades/some Infos about cursed blades(how do you forge a cursed blade??) and not the shitty excuse called Enma!

What if the swords (Enma, Nidai etc.) bring out Asura again? Or Zorro has to open his eye, in order to cope with the swords...
To my knowledge zoro can still use asura he just hasn't fought anyone powerful enough to warrant it. I would say it would just make asura more powerful.

People need to stop hoping for that eye to bear any significance, lol. Especially since Oda's good Friend Kishi had basically a whole story revolving around eye powers, I think he would NEVER include something similar to his own story's main cast.

Here's a thought about cursed blades, we know that Enma sucks out the haki from its user, we know that sea prism stone sucks energy out of devil fruit users to the point where they can't use haki and that sea prism stone is mined in wano.
You can probably guess where I'm going with this... I think that cursed blades have sea prism stone mixed into their forging process, the amount determines the strength of the "curse" which is there to help Samurai train using haki.
For the more I suspect that by the end of wano Hitetsu is going to forge a custom-made sword for Zoro which would replace sandai kitetsu
joyboy did a video on cursed swords. there is a special metal in wano called drunken ore, so basically if you use this ore in a weapon the wielder would fight almost like a reckless drunk. The bleeding on sword is also very interesting. There is a whole trilogy of chinese video game called gujian series that talks about sacrificing lives to forge god killing swords, which the empowers the sword so much that the sword manifest a visible human spirit. The trilogy is all about these swords and their spirits it's pretty interesting. Since you are so interested in swords i thought i'd let you know. Gujian3 is available on steam and possibly in english version while the first two are older and less accessible. Feel free to look them up!

Well we now know sword grade can go up,having Sandai raised by Zoro to be on par with Nidai or even Shodai is one way he could keep his Kitetsu without being a hindrance

I always thought that Zoro is going to get all the Kitetsu blades. You know 3-sword style and all. So I am thinking if Zoro is going to maybe have to leave Wado Ichimonji behind or it breaks or something and in the future loses Enma in the proccess of aquiring the last Kitetsu blade.
It also matches with the whole thing about Zoro becaming a Demon Swordsman aswell.

You can't tell me, that it is not waaaay more likely that Zoro gives his Sandai back to Hitetsu, who made it, and receives the Nidai in exchange, giving him three swords all of the same rank.

I think it would be an extremely awesome moment for deeper character development. Him letting go of the past. And starting to accept the fact that he is going to be the number 1 swordman not for his departed friend, but for him self. Also the ensuing madness that Zoro is going to fall in could give us a better understanding of what Demon abilities he has and can develop. In all honesty I want to see how he is going to react and develop if that is going to be the case.
Doubt it. Oda would make him "lose" all of his swords but i don't think he's getting rid of wado for sentiment purposes and probably his first blade turning into a black blade.
I wish he had the Shusui, Nidai and Enma. But i think he's gonna have wado forever.

The wado is zoros most precious treasure in the same sense of luffys strawhat the wado is a representation of his promise to his friend(I forget her name) as well as the sword he held when he made his oath to luffy after his defeat to mihawk. The wado should have broke in that fight. The wado had been in one piece since what 2nd or 3rd chapter it is gonna be his first black blade. If not Itll be my first time crying for a sword.
Adding: he might get all the kitetsu blades just not at the same time
so a cool option is, if just like Tekkin say, the Sandai is broken, and Zoro Give her bake to the Creator, but her creator reforge the Sandai, and now he is able to make her a upgrade version and her Hank goes up, them, in the end, Zoro trade Emma back for the Nidai, or something like that

Given all the symbolism and emotional importance wrapped up in his childhood friends blade Zoro wouldn't be satisfied with another sword. He'd insist on it being reforged. Hell, maybe the reworking of the blade would even make it stronger, but he'd sooner cast aside his own arm than that sword.
Matt, the Nidai Kitetsu’s colour is the typical colour for samurai like Kojiro Sasaki (in Fate Stay Night the same purple and white is shown; btw Fujitora also has this colour style) who was the rival of the strongest samurai in history Miyamoto Musashi

Another way that the Sandai Kitetsu get destroyed:
we need to remember that Enma is a difficult sword to control because it messes up your haki! It COULD happen that while fighting with Enma and Sandai (and maybe also Wado, so nitoriu or santoriu) Enma could mess up Zoro's Haki at the point where he doesn't manage to keep the Sandai coated in Haki and in a clash with some of the higher ups the Sandai gets shattered since not coated in Haki.
Do you guys think it is plausible?
just an FYI, I believe when they MADE the swords they weren't originally cursed, but the people who wielded them did by killing thousands with the blade.

Did anyone else notice how the epic guitar sound effect when Luffy first sees the sword is the exact same guitar sound effect that was used to introduce Zorro way back in the beginning of One Piece when they show him at the end of episode 1 or 2 I believe and hear just tied up and looks straight into the camera
There's a guess that Kikunojo's arm was cut off because kikunojo touched kitetu and kitetu thought kikunojo was unworthy of it.
All the top tier pirates in One Piece have a personal weapon... If Luffy is gonna get one too I think this sword might be it. He isn't a swordsman but it's possible he might use it to train is ryou and conquerers by taming the curse?

I think because Luffy just punches while holding the sword it does not activate its destructive potential and not swinging the sword allows the user to avoid haki drain from the swords lust for haki when swung if that's what these sword are doing.

One thing to consider about sword appearances. Is there anything keeping people from remaking the scabbard and wrap on a sword? The blade is the important part.

I feel like Zoro won’t change swords after Wano. He has a deep and connected history with the Sandai Kitetsu and I feel like he’s going to Keep it. Remember the greatest swordsman in the world: Dracula Mihawk once said “Any blade can become a black blade.” he said you should also be ashamed of any knicks in the blade, you’ve failed it as a user. Or word to that affect. Sandai being the Third generation Kitetsu blade should hold significant meaning to Zoro as well because He unlocked Asura only after he owned Sandai Kitetsu. So that’s what I think.

Im pretty sure that the wado ichimonji will either become a black blade or be destroyed by the end of the series.

Hitetsu said that if you manage to turn enma into black blade you can increase it’s rank, which is saijo o wazamono.
Same is with wado ichimonji.
I think Zoro will be keeping both enma and wado ichimonji to the end.
And I think he only needs one curse sword. So, in my opinion, zoro will get the nidai kitetsu only for now because it also make sense as these 3 swords are O wazamono swords.
That’s why IMO, zoro’s EOS swords are gonna be Wado Ichimonji , Enma and
shodai kitetsu leaving nidai back which makes total sense as he is gonna have experience with every generation kitetsu getting to the top.
Like using sandai first, then nidai and lastly, Shodai.
Which also becomes perfect as zoro might have all the saijo o wazamono swords By EOS. (Wado ichimonji (Black blade) , Enma (black blade) and shodai kitetsu).
My headcanon is that when Luffy picked up Nidai Kitetsu the sword's curse was like "Muahahaha another soul to ensna- OH SHIT nvm go ahead"

I think Zoro gives Enma after the war too Momosuke. As an suprise for saving wano he get shusui back and in the end he get the New kitetsu for his.
