You've mentioned before a theory about the Celestial Dragons riding actual dragons to battle back in the day, and Ryuma was the reason the World Government never subjugated Wano. Ryuma must have killed several of the World Noble's dragon mounts, forcing the WG to abandon Wano, and earning him the title "Sword God".

I swear zoro being from wano and a descendant of ryuma has seemed so perfect since thriller bark and wano cemented it for me
I'd rather it be that Zoro is just an orphan and that Kuina had a direct connection to Wano. That way, he will just be some punk kid who grew strong enough to become the World's strongest swordsman and his name is carried to the heavens.
yeah I would prefer that since you have luffy who ghas dragon,Gary and the part of d clan. You have sanji with his germs background , how from generations they were a strong family and then you have zoro who has nobody in his family tree who is powerful or important. That would be really awesome and I would personally like that.

I think monsters is mostly canon but Wano changed the legend to that it happened in the capital. Monsters looks like it happened in the old west

@matt k He's famous because Ryuma cut down everyone who came to Wano trying to exploit it during it's Golden Years. Pirates & the World Government. It wasn't just the Dragon. The reason why the World Government left Wano alone for so long is because of the Legend of Ryuma. Akainu didn't even send Kizaru because of the Samurais. Meaning he knows the Legend of Ryuma. This has already been confirmed.
Oda going from the image of the dragon being slayed to create that story, reminds me of how George R. R. Martin created Game of Thrones around the scene of the starks finding the wolf pups at the beginning.

I don't think Mihawk would win. Ryuma is from one of Oda's earliest works, so he probably has a soft spot for him, therefore I think he wants to make Ryuma as strong as he can. Like what Tekking said at the end of the video, Ryuma might be be the strongest swordsman to have ever lived. period. And we know now that the Pirate King Gol D. Roger was a swordsman.

So the more I think about it, the closer the fight seems like it would be. So I really don't know who'd win! Too bad we will never see that fight! 😣

I think Zoro is going to take Shusui back when he visits Ryuma's grave and after the people of Wano recognise him as a "sword god" too. I also think Enma should stay in the Kozuki clan with Oden's heirs, while the Shimotsuki blade Shusui should go to the "honorary" Shimotuski Zoro.
What if Toki met Ryuma in real life/time?
Ryuma from what we know lived in Wano all his life. Toki never set foot in Wano till after meeting Oden.
@@attackcrash0787 well, we know Ryuma's time was before the void century, and we know from Oden that Wano wasn't always closed up. So I don't think it's unlikely that Ryuma's adventures included many places outside of Wano..
However, I don't like the idea that Toki and him met before.

what if that town was the town 3 days away from wano where toki was found timejumping and she saw the battle and timejumped away for safety as she was about to be crushed by the dragon corpse and Toki tells Zoro of that battle at the end of the arc giving us the flashback chapter

I just want to point out that in the town where Monsters happens, Ryuuma is explicitly called an outsider. So, that town doesn't have to be Wano, it could just be a random island without any issues.

Top 5 Strongest Swordsman of all time in no order (Excluding Roger, Whitebeard and Big Mom) - Mihawk, Shanks, Oden, Rayleigh and Ryuma. And with the very limited information we have on them, feels like you could argue any order tbh.

1. Gol D Roger ( Former pirate king )
2. Sword god Ryuma (Former World's strongest swordsman)
3. Dracule Mihawk ( Current world's strongest swordsman)
4. Silver Rayleigh ( Vice captain and right hand man of the former pirate king, also known as DARK KING)
5. Shank ( One of the four emperors of the sea)

I still don't know why Shu Sui appears to be a weaker sword than Enma in light of all the Ryuma hype that Oda keeps pushing? No satisfactory explanation to explain this contrary plot point. The only possible thing I can think of is that either black blades lose haki if left alone for long enough, or Zoro will end up "programming" Shu Sui to pull haki like Enma.
Shusui perhaps unranked Meitou just like Sandai Kitetsu and Law's katana Kikoku.
Ryuma manage to raise Shusui two ranks and became one of the 21 Great grade swords.. That's why Enma have much better potential than Shusui.. Because Enma starting point already on Great grade swords and Zoro will raise it rank to Supreme by turning it into permanent black blade.
Of course about Shusui unranked Meitou just my assumption but it's plausible.
Idk if Shusui is meant to be stronger or weaker than Enma, especially since they're on the same 'rarity' scale. It's a legendary blade because it belonged to Ryuma, who is known as a hero throughout Wano and probably known by all strong Swordsmen around the world. Ryuma probably could have slain a dragon without Shusui specifically, but ofc he did and now Shusui is known for slaying a dragon, like how Enma is known for scarring Kaido
Probably similar to Mihawk, he made his own Black blade famous from his own feats, doesn't mean the blade itself is powerful from the get go
Enma has a unique ability that "drains" the user's haki and Shuisui apparently has nothing, but it's who they belonged to and the history of these swords that make them more valuable
The point i mean is i don't think any blade is weaker/stronger than the other (ofc a wooden sword is weaker than a steel one tho), that's how Tashigi thinks about swords, but Mihawk told Zoro that it doesn't matter, it all depends on the user not the sword, hence his little dagger knife beating PTS Zoro
Swords having unique/cursed abilities doesn't make it better than it's peers of the same rarity, they just offer different things, but the output depends on the user.
Enma has an ability but Shusui doesn't. Enma has scarred Kaido but Shusui has slain a Dragon, it's like the same difference
@@sultan788 I understand what you're saying about the swordsmans skill determining how great their blade is rather than the other way around. But thar can't entirely be the case because if it were then there would be more emphasis on skill being placed rather than going through the trouble of ranking and naming blades in One Piece. I.e. you would have a lot more Vergo's running around than there are in the story. This makes me think, for now at least, that skill can only get you so far. Something like the greatest swordsman (like Mihawk) using an inanimate object such as a bamboo pole, can only get it up to a skillful grade, and anything beyond that would require a blacksmith's skills to enhance the swordmaster's existing skills.
To be honest we haven't seen any swordsman go out of their way to make a sword especially weak for the specific purpose of honing their own skill. Until we get someone like a master swordsman who has a glass sword then this is what I will continue to believe.
I guess part of the disbelief I have over Enma and Shusui is that Enma has demonstrated itself in the story already while Shusui's fame relies on what is simply told to us as happening 400 years ago. Oda Retconned early works before (such as Garp being the pirate) so until we get an actual flashback of Ryuma within One Piece we won't know how accurate the Monster one shot is in relation to the One Piece story.
@@1TakoyakiStore ye i get that too about the whole skill only taking you so far. It's why i think Mihawk's blade never existed before him, in my head canon he asked a blacksmith or something to make a blade for him, born with no grade but turned it into 1 of the greatest ever blades that is also crafted brilliantly
I think the whole ranking and naming blades is just the legacy of them. We know that blades can even jump ranks meaning it's dependent on the user there, but some blades are born strong cos of the blacksmith like Enma and Kitetsu. So the craftmanship determines where they start in the rankings, but the user changes the value despite the craft
I think i agree with the bamboo and glass thing, although not practical they can be real and the same caliber swordsman would beat them due to the difference in weapon type. But with how much the characters talk about haki and the user like Mihawk and others, there seems to be a clear emphasis on it that the rankings really do mean nothing unless you're skillful to begin with; ranking wouldn't change much to them other than durability
Zoro almost lost to a DEAD version of Ryuma with Brooks shadow, prime Ryuma must have been a beast

If you ever look it up when one piece 1st started the author of ruroni kenshin his teacher drew the straw hats flag on a cannon ball on one of the enemies to shout out his apprentices work. A lot of people are expecting to have some little nod to kenshin in wano because of this

Maybe one of the twist is that Ryuuma actually did travel out of Wano and he slicing a dragon did happen while he was out of Wano as well. I mean, if dragons were real at one point in time and we don't know when they died out, maybe what Ryuuma killed were either the user of the Mythical Dragon fruit as well as the last remaining dragons of the world. Sides, it was said that even the world government feared Wano because of Ryuuma so, he might have traveled outside of Wano, became famous, drew the attention of the world government, marines were sent to Wano(maybe with a dragon or previous user of the dragon fruit) and him decimating them and the killing the dragon happened around that time. Could be a possible scenario Oda could take.

What if the one piece is actually the dragon horn that the WG used to control the dragons and how the celestial dragons had dragons at thier command, and it got stolen and the dragons were lost or killed during the void century or before then.

Hey Tekking, was watching Thriller Bark the other day, and noticed something...odd. Captain John, Rocks Pirates, lost treasure, Zombie General, yadda yadda. Surprising amount of similarities to Doctorine Kureha, basic design, smile, hair, the 'do what I want' personality, the drinking and probably a couple of other things as well. Any links between the two that we know of?
Considering how much power was produced when roger and white beard clashed, if Reyuma can hold back that and over power them together, he really is a sword god

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Ryuma was the strongest char in the verse, so I'd say Ryuma>Mihawk.
I have a theory . Hear me out , what if the dragon ryuma defeated the old user of kaido's devil fruit and the fruit then was retrieved by kaido or someone else. But the reason ryuma lost to zoro (not necessarily lost) was that it's been so many years after he is dead so he lost some of his skill due to lack of movement plus the ryuma we meet a thriller bark isn't the absolute ryuma he is a different person . It may be possible that ryuma would be stronger than zoro or even mihawk . But hey , that's just a theory a anime serious theory aaaaaand to be continued . Sorry @the film theorist
I'd love a video on How much one piece By-standers (on the grandline and in the 4 seas) know About things like Haki, Devil fruits, the world government, poneglyphs, voice of all things, will of D, etc.
Is Haki common knowledge? If not how is it explained by a By-stander when they witness it, such as during the dressrosa coliseum event?
If it is common knowledge why didn't the strawhats seem to know of it pre time skip?
Don't some People see devil fruits as myth in the 4 blues? Yet makino clearly saw a real one so it's not like everyone is ignorant so how much is common knowledge regardless if they believe it or not, would they know of the 1 fruit rule, the ability to feed them to objects, the 3 types and ancient, mythical, special sub types?
Do people know of the poneglyphs? Some of them weren't even hidden like the one on display in the city of gold before it was launched into sky Island so what do they think they are if not the stones detailing the forbidden history of the void century?
Alot of questions about how educated or outright oblivious the average civilians actually are

I think we could see Zorro revealed as Ryuuma's descendant and this fact is revealed somehow during the end of Wano and this leads to an explanation of Ryuuma and Zorro being gifted Shusui as his heritage

Ryuma died of a disease as it has been said by Oda. Also, yes, there are a lot of similarities between them but I don't think Luffy is descendant of Joy Boy. I think Luffy is a fresh life on the planet and the last piece required for destiny to unfold.

Probably to turn a blade into black blade is to directly put haki in to it, if I remember correctly, in order for Zoro to use black blade he first covered his hands/arms with haki and used that as a path/channel to put haki to his swords. So maybe in order for a blade to turn black is to directly put haki into it without using ur body parts as a path/channel. Directly put haki in to the blade without using haki to the hands that hold the blades.
I haven't finished the video yet, but after tekking talked about ryuma's view on the relationship between a swordsman and his/her sword, i started thinking that maybe it's possible at some point zoro gets a sword made for him. That it earns a name for itself because it's his sword, would be pretty epic. Maybe it'll happen at the end of wano? Idk, would be cool to see in any case :)
