I love this new trend-I think any way we can raise awareness about unhealthy consumption habits is beneficial!

“Live simply so that others may simply live,” is one of Mahatma Gandhi's most famous quotes.

Great content, thank you. I like videos around consuming less because it gives me a feeling of solidarity, and sometimes I learn new information or skills.
But I don’t like the name underconsumption because there are times when I don’t manage to take what I need, in many areas of life, for various reasons. That has negative consequences.

That's a really good point you make - it's important that we DO take what we need. I guess there's a risk of us feeling guilty if we become overly fixated on consuming less.

Some people (especially those with less life experience) will take this to the extreme and deprive themselves. It’s incredibly backwards.

I agree that there's a danger of people taking it to the extreme.

It'll be another social media trend for likes and follows. Next month, it'll be something else. I think there is a difference between being frugal and being 'poor'. I often get accused on my channel of behaving poor or like a pauper because I like to live a more frugal lifestyle and choose to be more mindful with the money I have. I choose to buy less because I don't need stuff, but some people have a critical opinion of that. If you are running a channel because you are genuinely struggling it should be full of tips on how to make a tiny budget go further especially with food and if you have kids. I think a lot has become lost in the translation.

I agree - and I love your channel by the way! 😁

This subject is far far deeper. These corporate companies first create the need before they sell you the solution. Trust me they will go to any length to get you to want and buy. Mind manipulation, depression and unhappiness because your not what you think you should be. If it means the consumer buys more than they need, step over their grandmother lose their morals to get this things, then so be it.
This is politics and we need to have fairer elections by having population funding of political party champains. Instead of private companies giving cash for questions.

I dont get the problem!! If people have it then let's let them spend it !! with their spending they will increase the economy and employment.... those who don't have it let them save it and be happy with living a minimalist lifestyle... to each their own.... we're all free to be what we want to be and sometimes people can change overtime...
