    Fantastic! I’ve been wondering how to smoke meat on my Weber Q 1200. Marinating in liquid smoke just doesn’t work. Thank you for sharing your idea.

    I used a big sardine can. I drilled holes in the top and bottom. For more smoke I made a second. I wrapped mine and put in a cooler to keep warm.

    Great idea using the Altoids tin can. How many times have you been able to reuse it? Can you post the recipe for that great looking piece of meat? 🍖

      Thanks for watching ! We have used the Altoids can about 15 plus times and it’s still doing great ... as for the recipe ....I will get that from hubby this week and get that posted for you .. thanks again for watching .... more videos coming soon !

      Recipe for Pork Loin
      We run the loin down in Bad Byron’s Butt Rub ... (local grocery or amazon ) ...
      Cook the loin at 250 degrees indirect on a broiling rack . We sprayed it with apple juice before we wrapped it in foil which was at about 20 degrees before desired temperature to maintain the moisture .We then continued the cook til the temp was reached for pork . The loin rested for about 15-20 minutes to reabsorb the juices prior to cutting .

    Instead of propping the lid up with the spacer, why didn't you just turn down the heat?
