- Weber Q 3000 Rotisserie deboned Greek style marinated lamb shoulder (1.6kg)
Pre heat bbq for 15 mins.
Put meat on for ~45 mins.
Baste then another 15 mins.
Baste again and another 5 mins.
Take off to rest in a foil tent for 15 mins.
(Optimally you want to carve just before eating but due to organisational issues our meat stayed covered in foil for another 10 mins before we ate it).
NOTE : You are always aiming for an internal temp. Ensure you have an instant read thermometer to get the best results. 55c rare, 60c med rare, 65c+ well done.
Souvlaki marinate recipe is from my good mate Dr Stephen :
1 table spoon each oregano, paprika, cumin.
Crushed garlic
1 sliced red onion
Lemon juice
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
