@culinarymatt87 guess you don't understand what an opinion is, my dad drives an M4 currently. It's an excellent car to drive, plus I did look into the M2 but tbh I don't find it a very attractive or appealing car. So don't say things like that to me please :)

Hariz Hafi actually, if you look up some videos with 5 cylinder engines, but different car manufactures they will all sound almost the same. It's just that Volvo has a weak exhaust not like other cars. So when you press hardly on the gas pedal, you hear engine noise more than exhaust noise which people standing outside can't hear the car very well. And if Volvo wants to make a powerful car they can make one even stronger than the Germans and faster. Look at some videos of the Volvo S60 polestar (the older one with 508 hp not the new with 350 HP) it was a concept and they only made about 6 of them.
Antony Su The RS3 is more powerful, and has more cylinders. It quit the classic Inline 4, and goes for an Inline 5 which is totally on par with Audi's heritage, and that is a really nice touch. But the A45 AMG comes with an hand-built engine, and has an higher specific output. The RS3 has a faster transmission, but the A45 gives more emotion while changing gears, with some crackles, bangs and pops. On the exterior, RS3 looks better to me. It's more agressive, and just better looking imo, especially with the Sepang Blue. Once you put the door, no magic here: the AMG wins. it has the classic well done Mercedes interior, and just looks and feels more expensive, not to mention that the RS3 is a bit more expensive actually. But we now that the RS3 is quicker, and faster. What we also know is that Mercedes is likely to present an updated version of the A45, maybe an A45S, with more bangs for the bucks. That said, even if they do, the RS3 just looks more like an hyper hatch should, and with the 5 cylinder and things i'd go for it. That said, for the money, i'd rather go for the cheaper M135i. It has an inline 6, makes it less hp but as much torque, is RWD at standard and looks really good now. BMW won't do another 1M, even less a full M Hatch, but the M135i is actually good enough. In that case, i think less is more with the 326hp M135i LCI.
