  • This truck was brought in with an A/C concern. It has already been to a couple shops. The customer has has been repairing it himself and throwing parts at it ss well..Including a junkyard compressor. In this video I diagnose this multiple problem A/C system concern. It can be extremely difficult, troubleshooting an issue that’s already had had parts swapped, codes cleared and skewed data..Has the original problem been fixed and new ones inadvertently created? What will we find?

Yeah, it’s pretty frustrating when the client cares more about saving a few dollars then having the job done correctly.. things like this need to be diagnosed properly. Probably could’ve saved a lot of parts swapping. Oh well, chances are he’ll be back though. I definitely like some closure on that circuit issue. Just really needed the compressor replaced before I could continue any diagnostic. You can’t troubleshoot an A/C System with a broken compressor 🤷.. thanks for watching brother!

I remember once I saw a guy unplug the harness from the switch and submerged the harness into a bag of water. To keep the AC on. I asked how come he did that? And he explained and it made a lot of sense. Crazy buy made sensor. It was a three pin. Was amazed by his thought process until he could get a sensor.simple testing but effective. Thanks Max. Keep pushing bro

A bag of water?! Like dipped the connector in it? That’s funny! Thanks for watching bro!

@@BigDogDiagnostics yeah.and it worked. Like unplug the three pin harness. Pour a capful of water into the harness plug.turn on the AC. Have the car running. Put your finger across it. Boom.if the AC comes on. You became the resistor to turn on the AC compressor

@@DJ-tn7vj wow! Kind of like jumping the pins? With yourself?! I would think that would short the connector out and/or give you a nice shock 😂 I was over here trying to figure out it you were messing with me 😆

@@BigDogDiagnostics basically you are using the resistance in your body to jump the pins. If it was a two pin. It's easy. Just jump them together but with the three pin. If you jump two pins. Nothing will happen. Will make a short video on it one day I guess

Great job, Thanks for sharing! I would highly recommend you check out the AES wave uTest terminal kit, it makes front probing connectors a breeze!

Yes, I have had my eyes on those for quite some time. I saw, there was some guy on Facebook selling knock off versions of that kit. Looked almost identical, lol. But I know those AES wave kits are tried, and true! They are pretty sweet, you’re right I need to get one soon!

I gave you a like to make it 10. It's too bad that you didn't get the repair. I find it's usually better to let these types of customers walk.
