It’s happening……slower than it should be but it’s happening.
Considering it was only introduced 4 years ago...
only ubisoft does 😂
lol once in 2 years
This really should be on steam not just the app store
We said the same thing when Rockstar announced GTA V and RDR2 and many other games on PS4/PS5 first lol
@@haruyanto8085 that’s rockstar being rockstar. They always do console first and then PC. The game still releases on Steam
Ya I’m not buying it 2 times so I guess won’t be playing on my mac
It will be, Ubisoft releases in steam as well
It’s not even on steam at the moment it’s only on Ubisoft and Epic games
Sick! I'm excited for the future of mac gaming
for your grand children you mean?
@@rohittkrr I mean its slow but not that slow bro 😂
@@danny-jo1rb hopefully my kids are able to see the day when iPad OS is finally 'Pro' according to youtube standards, and macOS is the go to platform for gaming.
@@rohittkrron my M3 I play windows games completely fine. Even titles like Cuberpunk 2077. Mac gaming is already here. It’s good to see companies acknowledge it
Yeah Ubisoft doesn't really inspire confidence in me, but I'm happy to see mac gaming gain traction
check out the trailer it's ridiculous
@@jeanbiroute well that's what Ubisoft excels at, making trailers. but it's good to be released on Mac.
@@sepheibano he is saying the trailer is dumb
@@haruyanto8085 oh, you right
That's freaking amazing!!! I owned M3 Max MacBook Pro, gaming on that is so awesome and can't wait to see more AAA games on Mac.
Hopefully at this year's WWDC they will release some form of 'Game Launcher' like app/feature in the new macOS.
They litteraly just released the new iPad Pro M4 but no mention of an iPad Pro port……………. Apple is so inconsistent. It’s frustrating !
Crazy how they treating this powerful ipad the same as an iPhone
You do realise it’s Ubisoft that’s releasing the game on certain platforms and not apple holding it back. I’m guessing releasing on consoles, windows and Mac were enough work to wait and see how the game does before justifying a mobile port given how lacklustre mirage was.
@@RobnDob Last time I heard, Apple was paying for all these ports.
@@rvnhty i think with the fact mirage has been an issue to get on mobile they’ve scaled mobile ports back until mirage is out. There’s no point in promising a mobile port when the last one hasn’t released yet.
@@RobnDob The iPad Pros and Macs are using the same chips. It shouldn't be harder.
I remember buying my first ever Mac back in 2021, I knew big things were coming to the new Apple M chips and I'm happy I wasn't wrong
With Mirage on iOS, seems Ubisoft is pushing hard into Apple. Nice to see, it´s time to push thos M chips for a change (outside work).
There's no way im buying expensive games digitally on the app store.
You mean, like Steam?
@@tonyburzio4107 steam has way more discounts
@@tonyburzio4107No he means like digitally you know, on steam its not digital cause the name is steam, steam is a physical property of matter 😂
@@vujhvjvgvfujk9888 epic literally gave games out for free, i got gta v for free from epic, but I guess discounts are better
@@tonyburzio4107 Steam has frequent sales and most of the time the game also has Mac version.
When you buy it on App Store it can be only played on Mac and sales are almost nonexistent.
Perhaps we get more information about the game on the wwdc next month or maybe gameplay
WWDC and Ubisoft forward are happening at the same date could that mean we get gameplay at both?
God, why can’t these developers put their Mac games on Steam??? I don’t wanna have to play twice to play cross platforms and I can’t even have cloud saves going from Mac App Store to Steam on windows
I feel the same but I’m at least happy it’s not the Ubisoft launcher
D'you think I should be excited for this? I only have the basic M1 macbookpro
great news! also lies of p was day one release too
How much gbs would you need for this?
It's odd that Mac App Store titles don't use App Thinning to download/offload game assets as required.
I've been waiting for years for the Mac to be able to replace my gaming PC. The big question here is this: on macOS, will the game support enhanced graphics features, like ray-tracing and HDR? And if so, will it be playable at 60+ FPS with these features enabled? On my PC, I need a high-end GPU that costs more than a Macbook Air.
It says on App Store Preview under "Cutting-edge technology" "The option to enable ray-traced global illumination-which makes light reflect realistically around a space-enhances the realism."
@@EverydayMacofficial wow. that would be absolutely insane.
my M1 doesnt even have storage available but why apple do us like this 250GB for a Mac
You can install the game on an ssd external drive
It's good that MacOS gets big games. It's bad that they are subsidized by Apple. Gamers want their games on steam It makes absolutely no sense to release a game for Mac only via AppStore for publishers unless they are paid to do so. I don't think that it will pay off to port the game for Mac and release it only on AppStore so it looks like it is subsidized to me. And it is sad, that not much companies are willing to port their games to MacOS. The Stray games has gotten a Mac port in both Steam and AppStore so I'm not sure what was the case with it and maybe it was the developer's will to port it even thigh it has been promoted during an Apple event. . But BG3 is a great example of the developers porting it's game to Mac willingly without any Apple's intervention. I wish there would be more of these.
Steam is paid by Microsoft to pretend there are no Mac users. Their loss.
So let’s talk about why metal is shit compare to vulkan
Considering Macs have such low market share, Apple has no choice but to commission these developers lol, you think developers are just naturaly kind and will take the time and money to port their games for mac?
@@Ifalvarado Metal is not shit compared to Vulkan.
Apple will subsidize AAA games for the next years. At least until they have a good amount of games, from different genres, which can lead its large user base to realize they do not need a separate PC computer to play good games. Only then Steam will be interesting for Apple. We can predict a completely Apple Store overhaul, and new policies, coming in the next 1 or 2 OS releases.
It’s happening ! Mac gamers assemble !
You going to upgrade to the new M4 MacBook. Be nice to see that kick some ass.
the last game I hope my base m1 mac would be able to run
Very excited!!
What I want is more Mac ports like Resident Evil coming to Steam, I had to pay twice for Resident Evil Village and 4 so I could play on Mac when I already own the Windows version
Thx Andrew.
What is that software to track performance in games on MACs?????? please anyone

Steam or didn't happen.
Sure let's support monopoly
Finally! Let’s go!
Great that it’s on Mac on launch day, sad that it’s only on the mac App Store
I hope this also means we will get Far Cry franchise on mac for the first time
Is this coming to iPad Pro also ? Eg iPadOS
yes iphone and ipad but i dont think it will be a day and date release just like mirage
Finally! Can't be more excited that this is happening :')
Great! I hope the Mac version comes to Steam.
I want GTA 6 when it launches. Native metal on Mac and not some WINE port.
daam finnalyyy a AAA game that too an assassins creed game
Sounds like they need the extra Mac sales as the trailer seems to have bombed
I wish assassins creed mirage was getting a Mac version and I wish Shadows was a universal purchase for IPhone and IPad!
Awesome
is the appstore version be DRM Free?
you can buy 15 indie games on sales for that price
Wow nice, I can buy a lot of games I dont want, amazing logic
Great news!
I cannot believe it
😮❤
LOL the black samurai.
Which is historically correct. There had been a black Samurai once in the 16th century. Sorry to shatter your dreams.
@@ThePianist51 Yes, the black samurai (it's not clear whether he was actually given the rank of samurai or not, as there's no written proof) was called Yasuke by Oda Nobunaga, the then most powerful man in Japan in the latter half of 16th century.
@@ThePianist51Yasuke was never given the rank of samurai
Thats Not entirely known, historics are still debating 😅@@crestofhonor2349
And DaVinci never invented contraptions for assassins. It's called historical fiction. These games have always taken creative license with historical characters and events. Even if he wasn't technically a samurai, it's a "what if" scenario. Pretty interesting to hear what people take issue with all of a sudden.
But is it availble on mac with steam ??? Because if is not, mac will be like a console : locked
WE WUZ SAMURAI N SHEEEEET
Now if only my Xbox controller would work with Steam games on my Mac.
Mac enjoy game world right now
I wonder how borked it will be on systems with 8GB of RAM
With all of the good game devs companies out there Apple decided to partner up with Ubisoft... nothing but gargabe lately. At least is something but, damn, I wish it was some other publisher
AYO, WE WUZ MACZ
By 2026 there will be 100 million Macs that can play games well. That message is no doubt being absorbed by game developers. (25 million M-series Macs are being sold per year.)
It's just a matter of time until the Mac gaming scene is robust. No game developer will forego a 100 million unit potential market.
so AC Shadows goes to Apple Silicon Macs... but AC Mirage which is on iPhone 15/apple silicon iPads but will not be coming to apple silicon macs... the inconsistency :')
Sad that it's in the Mac App Store though. I would rather Steam or some other things that allows cross platform installation.
I will buy the game and I hope there will be no bugs : chuckle
im not interest in this game but im so happy that its getting released on mac
Finally, we can play decent games on our Macs. Nice.
No.
The news isn’t herp deep we finally have games. There are lots of games on the Mac.
The news is that this Mac game is released day 1 with Windows. That’s incredible.
AC Shadows will be the second game to use HW ray tracing on Macs after War Thunder.
Source?
@@Andytizer My answer has disappeared probably becuase of the link to App Store. As I wrote it says on App Store Preview under "Cutting-edge technology" "The option to enable ray-traced global illumination-which makes light reflect realistically around a space-enhances the realism."
I’m having issues finding the link, could you message me on Discord or Twitter? :) many thanks!
Ah I found it :)
@@Andytizer I have to correct myself. Although AC Shadows is the first AC game to use ray tracing it will be the second game to use HW ray tracing on Macs after War Thunder.
No word on an iPad Pro version? M4 on the 13” should be more powerful than the MacBook…
battery : yes you can
Long sessions are impossible on battery 🪫
Even more important than ANYTHING mentioned in this video, the App Privacy section has "ZERO data collected" from the app. Why does Andrew not care about privacy? This is the deciding factor for me.
I wouldn't take too much stock in that, the App Store also says the game is 791 KB in size. The Assassin's Creed Mirage App Store page does collect data I'm afraid so it's likely this one will too.
This game will 100% have some sort of always-online DRM, so it will collect data
@@Andytizer Fair point. Maybe both of these items are "unknown" before release.
@@tablettablete186 I'm wrong about 1%-2% of the time, but I'm going to claim here that it's Apple, not the developer, who limits the number of app copies made using the macOS App Store. I have several apps that I've purchased from the macOS App Store, and none of them have ever said to me, "You are running this app on another Mac using the same ID, so you cannot run it on this Mac." Can you name one app on the macOS App Store that limits usage to one copy per iCloud account? I'll bet that would be against Apple's Terms of Service. Apple specifically wants all apps on its App Store to be runnable from 5 Macs at once.
A shame it's not a better game, and it's being released on the Mac App Store. Both deal breakers, but especially the Mac store.
I'd put my money on this being the phone / iPad port that's being made available for Mac. They'll announce the mobile port closer to the release, to not take hype away from the earlier one releasing soon.
how come the main character is a black individual called Yasuke 😂.... in a 16th century Japan when in that period they had very limited contact with the outside world during the Azuchi-Momoyama period?
Every AAA game I tried on my base m1 runs like sh1t, doubt this is gonna be different.
i dotn know what games you ran cause all the AAA games tried on my base m1 works great
The base M1 air was never really meant for big games, especially with that fan less design
We need ratchet and clank
This game will govno
I don't trust apple to pay 69.99 because my Apple ID got locked and I have many of purchase and now I can't do any thing so I will not risk it only buy disk games guys trust me
they can keep that garbage on windows. thanks.
Developers: we don’t port game to Mac because no one plays them …
Mac Gamers: we don’t play them because you won’t port them to Mac OS 🤦🏼
You know things are bad when you have to cheat for the worst company Ubisoft.
Xbox need to officially put game pass on mac 🙏🏾
Doesn’t matter. It’s Ubisoft we’re talking about and no one cares if this game is available on Mac
On the one hand i really want to buy this to support Mac gaming.
OTOH... I don't want to support DEI madness.
Sigh. Decisions decisions.
i'm very comfortable not spending money on ubisoft games
I'm glad Mac gaming is happening but I'm gonna skip this game entirely because of racial debate
Also, I’m not buying anything not on Steam.
Yeah…..let’s get jumpy over some overrated series as the glorify reason we can call the Mac a gaming system
Its a start, chill bro, they announced GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox only so far, chill it takes time to optimise chill
Do not preorder, my friends.
How do you even want to play the game when the keyboard and mouse sucks? There not even good
Won't buy just because it's from Ubisoft.
Obi soft.
It still can’t run Crysis tho! 🤣
