I was already using SE, but this audio to text feature is fantastic, and works very well (I generated english subtitles for a 40 min video).

I also want to thank David MBUGUA, for his excellent tutorials, and for taking the time to make them very detailed and well didactic.
That said, I want to comment on my experience with the program.
Referred to the topic of this new technology integrated into subtitle edit.
I tried to transcribe a video in English of approximately 50 minutes,
(AUDIO+VIDEO), in order to generate a subtitle in Spanish, the structure of the SRT subtitle was generated correctly, but unfortunately I noticed many errors in the transcription.
It is clear that you use a package in Spanish.
This is not a negative review , just a simple comment so that maybe the developer can improve this in future updates .
I will try to continue testing with other videos.
What is really sensational is that we can have a free program, where this avant-garde technology is incorporated! .

I watched another video on this software. I don't believe you explained the auto translate and burn in functions but this is exactly the software I was looking for.

David, thank you so much for the update news. Your videos are really helpful for someone who has never worked with subtitles. I have a movie titled "A Golden Christmas" that had no embedded subtitles at all. I found only one matching subtitle srt file online, but the quality is absolutely terrible. It is a long process, but I am working on writing up the full subtitle script from scratch for this film using MS Word. I hope to learn how to use Subtitle Edit 6.5 to create/edit my script once it is finished.

Hello, David, and thanks for the video - I tried using the Whisper option and I download the Models but they do not show up in the models list and SE asks to download again (with Vork it does do that). I use 3.6.11 version. Please advise. Have a nice day.

why can't I save in MP4, ... the translation and text only works like this if you have this program on your computer

I ran into a problem when I tried to change to another language model that is vosk-recasepunc-en-0.22 instead of the defaut vosk-model-en-us-0.22-lgraph.I tried to put the new model under the Vosk folder.However I can not see it when I click the choose model button, only the default model is available. Could you pls tell me anything wrong? Thanks!

When you pull up the subtitles in Subtitle Edit...you highlight the entire file by Ctr A...then right click...scroll down to the Option labeled "Command".. the scroll down again for the option to "Delete Time-Stamps/TimeCodes".

I'm not sure I understand your question but if you're asking if you can create srt subtitles from an audio file only in Subtitle Edit? Yes, you can.

It is easy how to add subtitles to a video,but not audio file.
@@SuperRaed2004 I don't think you can add subtitles to an audio file. Subtitles are meant to be seen and that's why they only work when added to a video.

I'm sorry but this Auto-Speech to Text is GARBAGE bruh. While the THOUGHT is appreciated, it's obvious that the SE Programmers have NO CLUE who, or WHY, people ACTUALLY use this Program. If they did, they would've made a Auto-Transcription plugin that CATERS to creating Subtitles for MOVIES despite the Backround Noise, Accents, Chatter, etc. This Speech-To-Text was made for "Interview/Social Media" Single Speaker Videos. There's hundreds of transcriptions Apps and software that could do the same job. With a MUCH simpler UI.
