I tried both on english audio; the caveat being the audio was heavy with irish/scottish accents. Vosk was adding "I's" everywhere when it was literally just a car idling by in a scene... as detailed with punctuation as vosk was, it would've taken me months to auto-correct everything it messed up. I feel like it took me less time to edit from whisper's transcribing even if I had to add and drag things into it's proper place than have to delete entire entries from vosk altogether. Thank you for the video.

hello I have asked several times to mr david to help me, but not possible. perhaps you can help me. I cannot have audio to tex of the films, of the Hindu language. even with the SE 3.6.12 . and I load before the vosk model. if you can help me thank you.

Thanks for that. With some improvements Whisper would really be unbeatable. My only wish is that it used more cores- to max out my CPU I have to use 3 instances of Subtitle Edit at a time (which is fine, I set it like that and had it batch subtitles for about 10 hours straight).
Thank you for sharing this video tutorial. I've tested the "whisper" to transcribe for me the Lyrics of a music song, and it has done a terrible job. It gave me weird messages in the song lyrics. And scary words such as "please d-i-e". 😱😲 That was terrifying. Also the "Vosk" couldn't generate Lyrics at all, and i am using the version 4.0.1. Can you make a video of how to generate Lyrics subtitles for Music video clips? Thank you.

hello, dear david. I tried 3.6.10 again and I followed what you do in your video. I downloaded 3.6.10 with the update. And I followed like you audio to text vosk kaldi and I still don't have a sub title like you. help me please. what i can do with subtitle edit is to extract subtitles from dvds with subtitles, and translate. and nothing more. I hope you will help me. And I haven't even found a program to transkribtion subtitles to buy. Because I can then translate the srt with the subtitel edit. crazy how bad many of the features are when it comes to subtitling. Like how whisper can't sync up properly or how bad ocr is at reading text from vobsubs/dvdsubs
When I transcribe hindi video to hindi text it writes one word in each line, which is difficult to read, it should be one sentence in each line, pls help
