I listen to Newt reading the letter every day and I cry everytime. To Newt: Thank you for letting me know that the most important thing in life is to fight for yourself, for your friends and besides your friends until the very end. ❤
And that was even worse. When I read the scene where Newt send them away I knew Thomas would read the letter. I was already crying and I prepared myself mentally for something like this. I expected an emotianal letter like this. But then the actual letter came and these two lines just cracked me up. I swear I was crying for half an hour or something before I could keep reading. The letter in the movies was good, but this one? Woah... Newt was slowly getting crazy and as lobg as his head was still clear he wrote this letter and gave it to Thomas so he'd know his last wish. He was scared to loose himself, his worst fear was hurting Tommy or Minho. He didn't want to be like that and reading the letter was the moment Thomas knew he failed. And he thought he'd never be aible to do what Newt wished he would've done...

Eventually they leave without Newt and then Thomas reads the letter that just says "Kill me. If you've ever been my friend, kill me" and at this point I thought we would never see Newt again but later they meet again and Thomas wants to save him again but Newt is really cranky now. And then they fight and Newt says alot of really bad and also kinda mean things to Thomas and then the famous "please, Tommy, please" comes up and then he pulls the trigger. So yeah he kills him in the books.

I sobbed reading the book saying that books will make me cry yet the movies don't bother me I think it's because I have a better connection to the characters when reading lol have to say though they got the casting spot on as that's how I imagined newt and Thomas when reading

Him and Thomas fought so hard for mihno newt didn’t care about him having to turn into a crank at the end all he cared about was getting mihno. And I thought about it, towards the end newt fought super hard to help get mihno back and this was because he knew he was gonna die due to him having the virus and he wanted to make sure they got mihno back so Thomas wouldn’t be alone. 😭 RIP newt you won’t be forgotten
You could even see in Thomas' eyes when he read the letter in the movie that he knew he had messed up. He definitely wanted to save Newt so badly. I still miss Newt till this day, he was and still is my favorite character. He was the one who deserved to be happy the most. Let's all cry together. Rest in peace, Newt ❤️

After you made it to the safe haven, you felt like you couldn't be happy. You knew why. Your best friend, the person you relied on the most was dead. After a year of Minho constantly checking on you and your mental health and you always faking it, you decided you needed a change. So you went on the weekly search for immunes. You killed a bunch of way past the Gone cranks and came back happier than you have been in a while. You talked to Minho and told him you were going to your room to wash up. Dirt smudged on your face, hair flowing behind you, you went upstairs. You opened the door and there he was. " Newt? " You fell to your knees, tears began to flow. " Is that you? " He stood up and hugged you tightly. " Hey, I've got you. " He whispered. " How, how are you alive? I watched, I watched as the life poured out of you. " I blacked out for a moment and woke up just in time to see the building explode. I grabbed this syringe that had landed next to me somehow. It looked important and medical and in my crazed state, I decided that it would probably do more good than harm seeing as I was dying. I stuck it in my arm and the result was almost immediate. Turns out, whatever that syringe had in it made me immune. Of course, there was still a knife in my chest, but on my way out, I met a man. He helped me. " He took off his shirt. " Look, barely even a scar. Still, all I could think about was you. It's taken me a year, but with Wicked gone, I was able to steal one of the Bergs. I've finally found you. He hugged you tightly again as tears poured onto his chest. " I love you. " He whispered. Minho knocked on the door. " Come in! " You said as your voice broke. " Minho! You survived! " Newt shouted. Minho's jaw dropped and he backed out of the room. A few minutes later, he came back with Thomas and you all had a get-together. Nothing had ever felt as satisfying as that moment did.
Dear Newt, Its the TMR fandom here... WE want to say you didn't deserve the ending you had. You didn't deserve anything that happened to you. You didn't deserve to be put in the maze... no one did, but although your gone here's the things that you should've lived to see... You should've stayed alive to live at the safe haven you deserved to be happy with Tommy and Minho. You deserved a Husband and kids. You deserved everything.. You deserved to remember your sister.. and share precious memories from your childhood with her. You most of all deserved to remember.. Right now I'm speaking from my experiences but I think I go by saying I'm also speaking for everyone... Newt, You were one of my favourite characters for so many reasons but here is a portion of some.. You were so grateful for everything you had it didn't matter how much you struggled to get to it as-long as others were happy you were fine. When I heard the story of how you broke your leg it truly hit me as a person who struggles with suicidal thoughts and SH I was so happy that finally I could relate to a character, But from the moment I knew you were gonna die I cried, I cried all night until there were no tears left, and yes I know its just a movie... its just a character... not to me... to me it was comfort something I knew I could always look back to on moments of struggle. - Freya Now for the rest, You didn't deserve to die so young, instead you should've lived to old age sitting around the beach with Tommy and Minho sharing stories from the glade. You should've died peacefully surrounded by people who love you not by a stabbing, shooting or the flare... WE still have hope for you but as we know its a long shot. when I saw the death cure, i decided that I would play my favorite sad song in someone death scene. I started the song and it perfectly aligned with the scene, making the ending of the song when tommy realizes what he’s done. the song is called Sour Breath by Julien Baker. it really shows how much he tried, yet he could’ve just waited for thirty seconds and newt would still be alive..
I knew he might have died sometime in the series..so it took me a few years to mentally and physically prepare myself for it. I still cried, but I had prepared myself so I wasn't "balling."
“Take care of everyone, and take care of yourself” mama noot making sure his glader babies r protected until the end. 🥺💛 he’s so sweet and selfless and gentle and he deserved the world, but in the end, there was nothing we could do to save him. He will always be remembered in our hearts, and the biggest hero in this whole series. He gave his life for his friends, and fought for them to the end. True love requires sacrifice and newt showed that he truly loved his best friends from the glade.... 💛

I’ve watched this scene a million times and I’ve cried a million times. I have never cried even when my favourite characters died but Newt was the only one whose death made me cry my eyes out. This scene is soo heartbreaking😭😭.

I knew he might have died sometime in the series..so it took me a few years to mentally and physically prepare myself for it. I still cried, but I had prepared myself so I wasn't "balling."

He will always be remembered in our hearts, and the biggest hero in this whole series. He gave his life for his friends, and fought for them to the end. True love requires sacrifice and newt showed that he truly loved his best friends from the glade.... 💛
