honestly idk why they all go for streeing input.. just make that the accelerator pedal works as a i am alive register... so u tap the accelerator every 10-30 seconds ...
I've noticed I never got these alerts when resting my hand palm down near the steering wheel's lower spoke. Seems like the wheel "registers" the weight applied to detect if you are holding it, and holding it that way (just grabbing the wheel, palm down, near the lower spoke) gives enough pressure to calm it down. :-)
That’s old and you can only do it so many times until the system gets angry and warns you it will cancel for the remainder of the drive. It’s very smart.
does scrolling up do anything? does it change the speed? It should do nothing. We just want to say we are paying attention, we don't want to change anything when we scroll. I'm damn worried
I started to use this trick when I learned it and my volume knob broke after always using it to disable the automatic steering. Tesla had to replace it for $347. Ha ha ha ha
Bro teslas are crazy my dad went like 100 mph one time on a freeway and it felt like 40 and the windows were open it’s so weird it was not kmh or whatever
It's notngiving warning message and if you are not placing hands on the wheel...then it's alerting yo, you are left with 4 more times only and lost 1 time that you haven't followed safety precautions
Another trick: When there's so much traffic that you hardly move at all, your motorcycle is usually narrow enough to go between the cars. Another trick is to go by bicycle. Bicycle lanes are free from cars, at least in my country. We also have lanes for buses only, so buses are not that much affected by heavy traffic. Unfortunately some car drivers are stupid criminals and drive in the bus lanes, but they are surprisingly few.
Tesla isn’t the only car that has AutoPilot. My moms car also has it and does not need to steer or do anything with the pedals. (Its a 2024 Volvo XC-90) Im sure other cars also have this feature.( You don’t need to pay for autopilot to)
Drove a couple of Teslas here in Europe. Somehow the "Autopilot" is worse then other driving assistants from other brands. Like it disengages all the time and it is very unreliable while not driving on a highway. I manage a carpool of 40 cars for our company and have driven lots of different brands and when it comes to driving assistants, Tesla had to be one of the worst. Like any car from VAG, Mercedes or even KIA performs and handles better in terms of assisted driving.
My message doesn't event talk about the autopilot but ok.. Also, in Europe we don't have the FSD Beta, only the "basic autopilot" who is only designed for keeping the car in the lines on highway. So yeah, that normal if the thing designed for highway only work on highway and disengage when he is not on highway.@@Gulaschguenter
I have two Teslas. Autopilot doesn’t operate beyond 80 for safety reasons. I don’t know how come you manage go over 80 on autopilot which doesn’t makes sense.
u just increase speed every time you do that and having autopilot on in a traffic situation isnt safe bc it can go crazy and just blast off trying to reach max speed
I don’t see how that’s so special when you can simply just grab a steering wheel if you have your hands down all the last compared to lifting your hand up and pushing in a button it’s not special even on road trips
as a tesla model S owner.....id never EVER pay $200/mo for autopilot let alone let a machine drive for me. I cant even take a nap in the passenger seat.
I sit a small scuba diving weight on the wheel lol it applies the pressure needed to drive hands free. I also have my phone mounted above my dashboard so I can watch movies in autopilot and the cab camera tracking my eyes thinks I'm just looking forward. I fell asleep in CT once driving back to MA and woke up 45min later still cruising on the highway.

I do that on my way home after work..2 hours of traffic 🙃..but im relax with FSD
That Alfa Romeo Giulia QV in the beginning was fire

I think that Tesla saw this and improved that.. Because I don't remember it working in my parents Tesla Model Y...

honestly idk why they all go for streeing input.. just make that the accelerator pedal works as a i am alive register... so u tap the accelerator every 10-30 seconds ...
What about a wrist weight on the corner of the steering wheel so that it thinks your hand is there
The car is driving itself can't you just touch the wheel😮
Much better is autosteer for traffic. It is not so strict
This only works 5 or 6 if I remember correctly. Eventually you’ll get the more serious nudge/warning to put both hands on the wheel.
This works indefinitely
Thanks for the tip !!
Love it when new Tesla owners create tip videos like this as if they discovered in time traveling 😂
Is there any way to make AutoPilot softer in stop-and-go traffic? The car accelerates and breaks too hard, regardless of the speed I set it to.
Put it on chill mode during traffic

"Oh no! I got to touch the steering wheel" 😂
Doesn’t that make your speed higher?

so you avoided touching the wheel by touching the wheel... brilliant
Yeah very safe thing to do.. good job
But you changed the max speed by scrolling through wheel. Did you see that?

Erhhh it's so hard to squeeze the steering wheel? Or maybe you squeeze something else when you're "driving"😂
It's not abt squeezing it, it's abt slightly turning the wheel

This is not working for me in France, using the wheel does nothing (maybe European regulation ?)

I was slightly turning the wheel and gripping the wheel for it to shut up.
I'm from the US so I was really having to think for a minute before I remembered that kilometers exist
We are happy if you guys remember the rest of the world even exists. Reminding you how distances are measured there is the least of our problems.
Why does the brightness of my phone increase when watching this
Me with manual shift in traffic 😂😂
is inconvenient to apply pressure to the wheel? just touch it
It's more effort to try to roll the scroll wheel because you have to pay attention to the press.
I just touch the steering wheel on my car. Capacitive steering wheel ftw ;)
So you just keep doing that until it says 200kmph max speed limit!?!
I’m going to try this tomorrow
The tesla equivalent of tricking the "put on seatbelt" beeping for cars.
After hours of driving on auto pilot, somehow the max speed went up to 200! Just remember that it will change the speed
Fake. Max speed on AP is 140 km/h

I think you set the cruse speed up to 106 if you keep doing that you will Cross 160 mph lol
The system will allow that couple of times, then it’ll prompt you to immediately take control of the wheel.
Bro stop this!! Keep your hands on the wheel! This is exactly the reason why those prompts are so much more annoying now. Smh

Its Tesla being selfish. Basically if they get sued they can’t argue “the driver was supposed to have their hands on the wheel!”
