Definitely not I don't think there is a big enough difference between him and Braxton Jones especially considering Braxton is more experienced in the NFL. Other than QB EDGE rusher is undeniably our biggest need.

Alts numbers are almost identical to Jon Ogden. The other guy he measures up well with is Whitworth, if he’s anything like either, he’s a 10 year stud, or better. Teams would be crazy to pass on him.

Most of the top OTs in this draft are from the RT position. Bears need an LT with experience.
Whatever draft picks we need to use in order to trade up to get him, I'm in. We need to stop effing around with "skill position" players. O-line and D-line are the priority. If you have a solid O and D line, you can still do well with average skill position players. This used to be common knowledge. I really don't know how this knowledge has been lost.

No trade up scenarios using 2024 picks. Stay at #9 and if Alt/Odunze/Bowers/Verse is there take them in that order. Otherwise, trade down and acquire additional 2024 picks in later rounds.

Tennessee would never do that deal, considering they need a left tackle and hes the clear-cut tackle in this draft. We would have to pay at least a 2nd rounder next year to make that move with them

What is wrong with bears fans? First they want to keep Fields over Caleb then all they want is a WR. Receivers don’t get you to super bowls. Tom Brady and Randy Moss the two best to ever do it didnt win a Super Bowl together. Not to mention Moore and Keenan are a top 7 duo already. Every position group for the Bears at this point is a B. While the Offensive line is a C-. Alt is the play.

@@grahamrogers3937 Keenan if he stays healthy is a top 5-10 #2 in the league… he’s more than fine for this year… and paired with Moore and a very nice but not elite Kmet is more than enough firepower for Caleb to kill it. Jordan Love doesn’t have half the talent Caleb has and he’s playing incredible with wide receivers nobody has ever heard of
@@bubbybuckets8524 not saying they don’t need an edge, but they got Sweat who is an A player. You have to give up some in some spots to bring another position group to a good grade. Do you want two A edges? And the keep the line at a C- grade…. Or would you rather bring the line up to a B grade and pair sweat with a C grade player for an overall B? Sometimes you gotta gamble and draft an edge in the 3rd or 4th and hope he over achieves.

Caleb Williams and Joe Alt would be great. Start Alt at LT and move Braxton Jones to swing tackle or LG. It would be good for QB13.
Just make a list of the top 8 players . Let the other teams decide who lands at 9. No matter what, you got your 2 top ten draft picks to add to the team. 🎉
Braxton is good and getting better. Grab one of those top 3 WR’s if available or grab one of those top 2 Edges. I’m taking Joe if none are on the board.
Braxton is serviceable at best. He’s a bottom tier left tackle. You need a real left tackle. Super Bowl teams have left tackles like Braxton as their backups.

If you have a top-ten pick and want to move up in the draft, it really needs to be for somebody who is special. It has to be for a game-changer. I am not sure Joe Alt is really that perennial pro bowl caliber gamechanger. So which situation would be best for the Bears, trading a 2025 second-round pick to move from 9 to around 4 or 5 to draft Alt, or moving down in the draft to around 15-20 and gaining a second-round pick to draft an offensive tackle like JC Latham. So which is better, Joe Alt plus no second-round pick in 2024 and no second-round pick in 2025 or JC Latham plus a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 second-round pick so the Bears can focus on other needs. Is Joe Alt really two second-round picks more valuable than somebody like JC Latham?

No, it’s Wright that we aren’t sure is the perennial pro bowler… which is actually fine because he looks like a strong B+ player. In a vaccum Wright wasn’t worth the 10th pick but he was because he’s well above avg and in an important position. Alt looks like a perennial pro bowler though. And if he’s not he will still be probably at worst as good as Wright will be.
Problem with Latham is can he play left tackle? If he can’t then you wasted a very very important pick.
Even if Alt isn’t a perennial pro bowler… there’s really no worry about him being a bust…he will be a B+ left tackle at worst…. Latham could end up being a bust cuz it isn’t his position
Look. I know we talk Bout these guys daily fir months. Uts easy to over think it. Especially in a really good tackle draft. Joe alt is the beat one and it ain't close
Trade down to the mid teens or early 20s, draft a top OL or DE. Use remaining picks on WR, OL, and DT
He's the player they should draft if he's available at 9 and Harrison is off the board. Shouldn't be any questions about this.
Maybe - if he's the top player at #9, the WRs are gone, then grab him. But he should go #5 - #7.

Right now every position group, RB’s, LB’s, TE’s, Wr’s, QB (with Caleb), and the secondary are all at least a B. The offensive line is a C-. Draft your pro bowl left tackle and bring that overall grade for offensive line to a B.
