Man, I love the Shimoda bags so much. I have the Explore V2 35L for big treks, but that is a big bag. I'm eyeing one of these smaller Urban Explore bags for smaller trips. I just wish they'd make a version without the top compartment. I'd prefer to have everything in the inside compartment like the Lowepro.
Thanks for the great comment! I haven’t used my Shimoda as much as I thought I would. That might change during the coming months as I plan to travel a little more. 😎💜😎
I sense some buyer’s remorse. Seems the 30 L Shimoda with the comfier back cushions and straps would have been ideal for you. But I am not liking to hear how rough the zippers are. I have heard that from other reviewers as well.
In the end, they are both really nice bags. I have the Lowepro 450 AW and can fit a lot of stuff.
Yes, both are nice bags for sure. 👍🏻
YUGE bag. :)
As long as it carries what you want it is the best ...but a bigger bag means you may put more in it and it will become heavier..
Yes, and carrying a heavy bag is not my idea of a good outing! Thanks for swingin by brother!

Both bags looks nice bro.
Thanks Dan, both are great bags!
I have the Lowepro Flipside 450AWii and it is outstanding.
It's been a great bag for sure! Thanks for commenting!
The Shimoda does not have à waist strap on purpose because it is an urban bag. If necessary for you choose à v2 séries bag
I see. I wasn’t aware that folks don’t need one on urban bags.
Climbing mountains is not very common in cities !😅
@@stephanedubarry8624 A big building might be considered a type of manmade mountain. Lol! (I understand your point, thanks.)
@@TC_Connerif you’re climbing several flights of stairs, might need it. But it’s hauling less gear so probably not.

As far as I know, you can get a Peak Design waist strap and it’ll fit the Shimoda if a waist strap is a must.
Hmmm, thanks for the info, I’ll check it out. 👍🏻
Both bags are nice
Thank Maria and Don! They are great and I can recommend both if you need one. 💜💜
Room for a little snack lol
Yeah, like some flat bread! 😂😂
