this guy is the most positive person on UA-cam I swear, He got stung in the face with wasps and is still positive as heck I love watching you vids keep it up!!! ✌️
Wow, thats a long trail, so sweet! Hey, I was looking at some of your older stuff. Amazing! I shared your 'I want you to be happy' vid with my work peeps. It's so inspiring!!! Everyone loved it.
Awesome!! Loving your hard work brother, gonna be so sick. I literally can't tell you how excited I am to see it come together. It'll be so photogenic too. The imagery you'll get from tricking over this will be legendary!! Also "chunder box" great name for a trail! haha looks super fun. Catch ya in the next one 👍
I love your videos... I found your channel while looking for reviews of the hawk hill 3. I am waiting for the hawk hill to get back in stock so I can buy one.
You are absolutely ridiculous mate! 😂😂😂 that riding is honestly some of the best ive seen about! Sooo good mate! I love to know abit more abit your story with the bikes! Serious skills man! 🤘
Love the videos Mark, your channel is my go to for island trail previews before I ride them! Chunderbox looks amazing, is the trail head up by Blockhead or lower down?
hey this starts up on wookie toothpicks eh ? you finish down at cupcake but dont cross over any other trails on the way down, going to ride this sometime this week!
I honestly think its gonna run slow. might be an idea to cut the stump down partly and have it flow faster into the straight that comes after the jumps finished :}
Awesome channel and vids 👍. Can I be cheeky and ask for a video of all your time lapse once you've completed it? I'm sure everyone else will want to see it too 😜🤞
So strictly to figure out what my best options are given the stupid EVO SS issues, was chunder box on the max or on a karma? If karma, how the hell do you mount it?? Really want to avoid wearing my chin bar every ride to run the 7.
This will be a clear cut in a few years and I’m mostly cutting dead trees. Unfortunately Vancouver island only has 6.5% of its original forest left and majority of the land is owned by logging companies.
Everyone looks so forward in seeing your videos but you end up barley getting anything done each episode and it turns more into a talking channel rather then riding work on it bud you will get a lot more viewers
he is back with a crazy vid
Kolotobo 🙏🙏🤟
New isolation episode... LETS GOOO! These vids r unreal man, keep it up!
Max Walker thanks max, that means the world to me! 🔥🔥🙏🤟
6:34 he rips a tree out the ground with his bare hands dammn
Cole Noonan I wish I was that cool but it’s just a chopped up round hahaha
Man are you blessed to have the freedom to build a big / progressive feature like this, Marin too are fortunate having you on board.
Thanks Richard! This is why I moved to a small town with first everywhere haha. Worth it for the freedom to roam!
Damn, that opening run was sick Mark! Stoked to see you motivated again and putting in the hard work on your trail too!
Thanks Paul! Slowly plugging along.
He really said ah ah ah ah uh uh ahhhh ah ah wo this trails so sick
It’s insane ❤️🔥
this guy is the most positive person on UA-cam I swear, He got stung in the face with wasps and is still positive as heck I love watching you vids keep it up!!!

Each episode gets better and better
Thanks so much Gabe!
Sweet video can’t wait to see it all completed
Thanks Sam!!
So glad your feeling better and you have bounced back more positive then ever!!! Love you content
Thanks Oscar!!
Stoked you went with the gap. So fun to watch and excited to see the footage/photos you get from a trickable feature. So sick
Thanks! I’m excited too. It will be well worth the wait!!

Also "chunder box" great name for a trail! haha looks super fun. Catch ya in the next one 👍
For sure! Worth it. With summer here that means so have less time to build too but I’m gonna get this all 100% done in the next couple weeks
Time to recruit ! Get some mates to help you find and source dirt pockets ! Sick as always and inspiring, keep up the great work
Yep!! Thanks Scott
I really think the stump jump is a good idea thanks for another vid Mark
No dig no ride! 💪🤘
Always 😎🤟
Chunderbox is one of my favourite trails on the island right now
Same I can’t wait to hit it again!!
Where abouts is chunder box in Cumby I can’t see it on the map
Good save by that very last kid! Always watch to the end haha
Haha some good submissions
He literally clapped at the end of the trail!! Lol
So good haha
I love your videos... I found your channel while looking for reviews of the hawk hill 3. I am waiting for the hawk hill to get back in stock so I can buy one.
That epic!! Thanks for leaving a comment. And you’ll love that bike dude! I’ve been hooked.
You are absolutely ridiculous mate! 😂😂😂 that riding is honestly some of the best ive seen about! Sooo good mate! I love to know abit more abit your story with the bikes! Serious skills man! 🤘

These videos are really good
Thanks man!
Looks epic!
Love the videos Mark, your channel is my go to for island trail previews before I ride them! Chunderbox looks amazing, is the trail head up by Blockhead or lower down?
Thanks! It’s above. Big mission!
@@MarkMatthewsMTB Found it!! New favorite trail!!
You should build a landing like the shred ist drop landing
hey this starts up on wookie toothpicks eh ? you finish down at cupcake but dont cross over any other trails on the way down, going to ride this sometime this week!
Exactly 🤟
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Plz nose bonk the big stump that would be epic
Haha would be sick if it didn’t blow apart, I have a feeling I’ll be boosting too high above it
yo should make a roller over the rock at 8:01 instead of building the ground up
Smart smart
I honestly think its gonna run slow. might be an idea to cut the stump down partly and have it flow faster into the straight that comes after the jumps finished :}
Not touching that beautiful stump. We will just have to find out!
Another great video, the trail is looking awesome wish I lived there.
What format have you got the camera set at ?
Thanks Jerry! I always shoot in superview for the riding shots
Mark Matthews thanks, glad the wasps left you alone this time 👍🏻
Nice man. What editing program do u use, I’ve just started using premiere pro
Premiere pro as well
Best videos ever :)
Wow thanks ! 🙂🤘
Awesome channel and vids 👍. Can I be cheeky and ask for a video of all your time lapse once you've completed it? I'm sure everyone else will want to see it too 😜🤞
dude that's an awesome idea!
@@MarkMatthewsMTB I had to stop riding cos of a new job and your vids are getting me charged to get back into it 👍👍
So strictly to figure out what my best options are given the stupid EVO SS issues, was chunder box on the max or on a karma? If karma, how the hell do you mount it?? Really want to avoid wearing my chin bar every ride to run the 7.
Matthew Trivett on the karma with it mounted directly on the chesty
@@MarkMatthewsMTB Damn. I feel like that would be so intrusive. I'll have to look into it.
It’s annoying for sure but it’s blows every other gimbal out of the water. That’s why I use the max a lot
How does he know where he ends up each time 😂😂
what action camera do you use?
Ivan Erdec GoPro hero 7 with a Gimbal in this video and I use a GoPro max sometimes too 😎
what does the rake do when u are compacting the mud?
Filter out rocks and sticks first
Send it mark
I honestly prefer my Riftzone over long travel bikes, the short travel brings the trails alive
for sure, so playful!
Hello, Do you still use the GoPro Max?
Yes, I used the hero 7 black with a gimbal in this episode though
Mark Matthews isn’t it uncomfortable? Wearing the gimbal?
I should be working, but another Isolation video dropped!
;)
Haha amazing!!
First an d I think you should build a whale tail out of the radius that would be class
And what is the buildlapse song
Colm McDonnell the song us underground stars - flow! I know you keep asking for a whale tail haha 😉🤟
@@MarkMatthewsMTB 😂😂😂I love whale tails
Colm McDonnell if I’m not completely over wood work once this stump gap is finished then it’s an option lol!
@@MarkMatthewsMTB let's go
We want more videos 🙂👍👍👍
Working on it 😎🙌
Do u live in heaven or what, riding´s insane
Sick vid
Thanks man! We are super lucky here, that's for sure.
i neeeddd moreeeeee
Ha thanks! More coming!!
You can try to split the boulder you're talking about at 8:05 with a pickaxe
That would be badass
Honestly his vids are better than seths bike hacks
Wow thanks!
Wish I could come help mate!
Me too! haha.
What material pads do you use ?
You mean knee pads? Tld’s
Mark Matthews sorry I meant brake pads 🙈
I’d love to ride these, are you opening it to the public, you should make it a proper bike park
H S M B I will build an entrance last and it will become part of the network it’s in! 😎🤟
H S M B I will build an entrance last and it will become part of the network it’s in! 😎🤟
Mark Matthews oh sick and where is this built
Fucking BEAST 🔥🔥
Are you using the gp8?
7 with gimbal Ana a GoPro max sometimes
How does one get permission to build trails like this? Id love to do this with some buddies
Xion if you’re in Canada, on crown or logging company land. Almost everywhere we build becomes a clear cut eventually.
What alpine trail did you get mark? 7 or 8?
Bc Buddy 8 frame with a custom build
Mark Matthews sick I can’t wait to see it.
I could listen to you talk as you describe your self eating a sandwich your narrrating is great
Haha amazing thanks
Who els can’t wate to see the jump finnished
ME haha. I’m on the road for the next week but then a power build has gotta happen and we’ll get it done fast!!
What music is it that you use?
Underground stars- flow
How many logs the stump gap took lol
a lot lol
What bike is that is it a Marin
Yes a hawk hill
Take the top of that rock off with a pick man
Lol I’ll try!!
if everybody went to forest to "source" some wood like that we would have no forests left. NOT COOL
This will be a clear cut in a few years and I’m mostly cutting dead trees. Unfortunately Vancouver island only has 6.5% of its original forest left and majority of the land is owned by logging companies.
@@MarkMatthewsMTB ok i didnt know
Your videos look so fast.
Thanks Ken! The GoPro definitely makes me wanna ride a little faster.
Bro I’m a bit drunk and watching this i would have hit every tree dont drink and ride.. but is fun ... but
Hahaha and the best comment goes to:
Everyone looks so forward in seeing your videos but you end up barley getting anything done each episode and it turns more into a talking channel rather then riding work on it bud you will get a lot more viewers
Dude I don’t think you realize how much work this is. Each episode is like at least a full day of building and I’m posting every few days.
I get it man keep up the hard work
