Oh my goodness! Hardly my friend. I have been catching up with reviews I have missed and reviewers old and new to me. There are some brilliant reviewers out there and you are very very high on that list. Bravo to you and what you bring to all of us with your special brand of sophistication and style. Cheers my friend.
It's great you made the effort and incorporated some clips of the film in your video.. I hope it will inspire those who haven't seen it to watch it. It is of course an absolute classic, one of the best films ever made, and a must see. Everyone in it is great, but Orson Welles is just electric. As for myself.. your video has inspired me to spray some of the fragrance on my arm!
If it's anything as good as the film, it'll be the greatest scent ever made. I've often thought of blind-buying this due to my love of The Third Man. I'll grab it. Great to see you back on UA-cam Lanier.
Ah yes, Emperor Marcus Aurelius entering Rome. The original is in the Capitoline Museum in Rome. One of my favorite places in the city. Cheers Michelle.
Lanier Smith I hope to get to Rome one day..... I was stationed in Europe but never made it to Italy and it’s been a big regret.... especially in this day and age.
@@michellelea8511 I hope you got to see some of my Italian videos from last September? Check them out. Florence, Cortona (Under The Tuscan Sun...and I had dinner with Frances Mayes!. That was a real surprise. and final Rome) Enjoy!
Great you're back! From the house I own Yatagan (which I still struggle with) and Pour un Homme. Maybe some day this will be in it, too. I stocked up a lot on the classics lately...
I have a bottle of this, and I have to admit that I rarely use it. It has a wonderful spicy feel, but it seems lacking in depth and richness. I feel the same about Guerlain Coriolan-- all top notes with little depth. My fave Caron frag so far is vintage Royal Bain de Champagne-- one of the all time best! So glad to see you again!
Wow, that is interesting Kevin. For me it has wonderful depth and richness. Well there you go! Now when it comes to Royal Bain de Champagne...I use that in the shower from time to time. Dump some in a large jug, fill it with hot water and then pour it over my head. Pure Roman decadence! Cheers.
Great review sir. I’ve been eyeing this recently and I think your review seals it. I own Yuzu Man and quite enjoy it and have purchased samples of a fe others. Just got into collecting at 48 years of age and am enjoying it immensely. Very pleased to have found your channel! Take care!
Lyle, it's Great to see you here. I began late in life when I became serious about fragrance.I always loved it in my youth but didn't really get started until later. I was 62 when I started to really collect and study. I was lucky to live in San Francisco were I had access to great teachers and perfumers who taught me so much. AND, I'm still learning. So Lyle at 48 you have a great and wonderful journey ahead of you. Cheers!
This has been pretty much my signature scent since 2000. It's never let me down. I just picked up a new bottle late last year and I notice a lot more clove in the opening compared to previous years. Still a gem, but wondered if anyone else has picked up on this?
Don't go bankrupt just because of us! LOL. Really though that is a complement to us. We are passionate about what we do and love to share that with you. so thank you for watching. Cheers.
@@danielintheantipodes6741 Fabulous Daniel. Have you tried my all time Favorite by Elizabeth...White Diamonds. I just got a new bottle and will be doing a comparison to my vintage bottle I bought when it was launched. That should be interesting.
Thank you Priya, In my opinion there is no single way. I think it is up to the person to make that decision. But I will say this. pulse points are bes, base of the neck, behind the ears, wrists. No more than four sprays. I vary between on spray and four depending on the strength of the fragrance. Cheers.
Beautiful review Lanier! My Mommy and I were ga-ga over Joseph Cotten. I’ve never seen this movie I’ll have to check it out. Orson Welles comes out too! Thank you! 😃💛
That is actually a bas relief sculpture of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius entering Rome. It is a copy. The original is in marble and was from a lost triumphal arch in Rome. It now resides in the Capitoline Museum in Rome.
Lanier Smith one of my absolute favorites! Insider tip, if you have a Costco by you they sell an amazing XO Cognac under the Kirkland brand that’s a great bargain
You are the benchmark for any fragrance reviewer today!

I usually skip over intros to get to the review, but not with your videos. You're the intro king of the fragcomm, and no mistake.
Talgat I am so flattered. Thank you. I'm happy you enjoy them. Cheers.
Happy to have you back! Your description of the scent sounds elegant. As always, thank you.
Thank you Jose. Cheers.

Radek, Yes one of the best films ever made I agree, and Mr. Wells is simply magnificent. So glad I inspired you to spray fragrance. Cheers.
i just followed this beauty of a parfum along with u - and cant wait to wear it again tomorrow ;) i love your channel - pure class
It is a wonderful scent, firmly in my rotation - well worth sampling. I highly recommend trying L'Anarchiste from Caron as well.
Bravo Scott! I shall check out L'Anarchiste when next I hit the Perfume House. Cheers.
Another film to add to my list to watch.

I really love this house as they never fail to provide great perfume.

Yuma since this is my first encounter with Le 3' Homme I couldn't comment on the change. Anyone who has please let us know. Cheers Yuma.

Lanier Smith 👍 Just rented it from YT!
Excellent! I just recently finished a 125ml bottle like the one you have, I’ll be getting another or maybe a vintage bottle if i can find one 👍🏻
Hey! So glad to see you. So yes let me know how it goes with the vintage search. Cheers buddy.
Great to be back💗
Thank you Abigail. I am happy to be back in the saddle again. Cheers.
What is that picture behind you and where did you get it? Looks really cool

Cheers Bhaffar!
Enjoyed
Thank you! Cheers indecence.
Really like your TF frames
Thank you! I should do a Tom Ford fragrance review and then review the frames! Cheers.
Interesting choice Lanier, it’s a house I haven’t tried yet
Wilmer...it is a classic house with so many great fragrances to explore. Go out there and get your nose on some Caron. Cheers.
Hi,
You have to Pronounce « Troiziem Homme »
Written in French would be : (Numbers) 3ème Homme or (Letters)Troisième Homme meaning Third man
For the love of God, can we stop mispronouncing bergamot? There's no 'N'. It's BergaMOT, not BergaMONT. Not hard.
