8 years back we did not have this much internet 4 years back we dont have chatgpt. Technologies change so fast, its upon the people to learn them. every 5 years technology changes and people needs to upskill, even if RaGa comes this issue will continue. Companies are given incentives to invest, grow and create jobs but they need latest technology skilled people not 30 year old technologies.
Even for samosa and chai shops need good skills. With out skills no one takes you.

Human overpopulation is the root cause of the tragedy in India. Not to mention a host of other socioeconomic problems we face today. In 1947, the population of India was close to 320 million. India has added another 800+ million since then. And somehow, magically, its citizens expect a supply system that periodically adjusts to a large population's demand for goods and services. China is the only country on the same scale and has done better at achieving order/governance. But, then again, they have earned it by brute force. Not to mention all the industrial activity has resulted in large-scale environmental damage - water/air/soil for which we will pay sooner or later.
In comparison, the population of the U.S in 2024 is close to 349 million. The total land area is about 3.5 times that is of India, and an economy that is many times bigger. Picture India in 2021 if it were around 500/550 million people.

It's good as an intern trying hands at multiple and then decide what to do. It's difficult to change course in job.
In a country of 140 crore people no one can create jobs like say 1% per year which is 100 lacs. Every year these many youth come to the job market. India should know that with AI and competition with Vietnam and Philippines its low cost advantage is also at risk. The future is doomed for next 10 years or so just until the one kid household kids come to market. They will have the family and financial support to compete. Everyone knows that India’s population grew without any thought of future in the 80s and 90s and even upto 2010. We are now dealing with this monster of a problem with practically no resources and solutions.

@@Dattebayo3089 it doesn't matter if UP and Bihar grew. So did MP and Rajasthan too just after independence. They are all part of the same country and people are free to move from one State to another. So it's a problem for India and Indians as a whole.

In the formal sector, maybe the cash for internships can help. But our formal sector is too small for lot of people to take advantage of. In the informal sector, the people generally don't have the means to hire more people and they've just stagnated on friends and family and the number of people they can hire. So the better question to ask is not to give incentives to firms for hiring. It's to allow ease of land acquisition and flexible labor policy that allows informal sector to scale and formalize. Without that, all this cash for jobs is a jumla
Youths shouldn't be after private jobs ( working under someone as a servant ) anymore . The personal sector is the best one to invest your time and effort . Be it a small venture but try to become self reliant and engage yourself in recession proof professions .
Most of the tier 1 colleges hate internships as the faculties loose cheap labour support for there age old projects. This is part of the reason for unemployment. In my current role company retains interns even appreciates internship candidates more in internviewd

When job is a problem what way internships will resolve that. You may consider internships as probationary period for which limited resource allocation from Government ( limited to the allocation) will be paid.
