- In April 2018 six mates decided to do a 1000klm dual crossing of Bass Strait from Port Welshpool Victoria to Launceston Tasmania and back.
It ended up being an epic and amazing adventure.
Thanks to Shane for the drone footage, team for their images, Julie for Tassie arrival footage and Frank for aerial shot - Навчання та стиль
I second everything said here; awesome adventure! Loved every minute of it. Thanks so much for letting us take the ride with you!
Bloody awesome effort guys. This is what Jetski’s are meant for. Not just pulling doughnuts 5 metres from the beach. Did you spot any Sharks out there? Would love to have a crack one day! Well done to you all.
Happened to stumble on this and glad I did. What a phenomenal adventure. Glad you got home safely - albeit with many tales to tell.
Great video... I have a similar story.. Did it in 2019, and my GTX filled with water overnight at Lady Barron. Unlike you, I didn't risk it, and went down the insurance path and had it shipped home. We are doing the same trip again in March this year - hoping to successfully complete it. Awesome to capture it on the GoPro!
It was an amazing journey thanks for the comments
How did you go second time around PC???
Respect. Q.E.D.
Bloody awesome

awesome adventure guys! one id love to do one day :) but maybe not on a seadoo!!
5000ltrs of fuel?? was that a typo?
When you made it to Erith Island for the night did you beach the ski completely overnight? Great video Michael
No we anchored them just off shore, tide was too big and beach minimal
@@michaelcarew the night your engine flooded. Is there a way you could of stopped it from happening if you knew? Could a rain cover go over it to stop waves and rain getting into it. I’ve ordered an FXHO Yamaha and worried about the issues I’ll have with anchoring offshore. It’s a wonder someone hasn’t made up a light weight trolley that you can pull the skis up onto the beach with sand wheels. But probably way too heavy
@@goldlad3875 Not unless I had of beached it, I was later told by Sea Doo that you should not leave the ski in water overnight as they can sink, and mix of waves and tide I think
Thanks heaps for the info Michael. Are all you guys still associated with JetSkis now. Or have you guys gone with boats or kayaks. Absolutely loved the footage of your trip to Tassie. I’m keen to get to Flinders Island next April for the mutton bird season. Find someone who can bring my JetSki up onto the grass with a trailer. Then checkout Flinders for a week and then return via deal and hogan. Would love to do it with a group like you did it
