- This dramatised documentary tells the true story of a brazen band of Aussie thieves who moved to London in the 1960s and ran riot for more than a decade, pulling off the most daring heists that Scotland Yard had ever seen.
Led by five charismatic master thieves: ‘The King’ Arthur Delaney, ‘Wee Jimmy’ Lloyd, Jack ‘The Fibber’ Warren, Billy ‘The General’ Hill and ‘Gorgeous Georgie’ Gardener, the team targeted the plush emporia of Knightsbridge, the fine jewellers of Mayfair, and the luxury retailers of Paris, Rome and beyond.
Operating at a time before CCTV, they elevated shoplifting to an art form practised without guns or violence - and they always found a way to simply ‘disappear’ with the loot.
In 1990, long after their heyday was over, one returned to London for the biggest heist of them all.
Delaney had always dreamed of robbing the most famous jewellery store in London - Asprey of Bond Street.

Fortunately, I can say that I personally captured a part of that romantic time until the late 1990s, with everything that this action brings with it, unfortunately I can only say that that time will never come back, the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s are gone forever ... now I just can be in pension only :)
80's and 90's where a great time and I moved and changed schools twice. I lived in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Indiana. Went to school in all 3 states. I'm back in KY know.

I'm not claiming we were this good we were just kids but we would go to the mall and steal for fun. I'm an adult now I know it's not right I don't need anyone lecturing me I was a child. But we did all the distraction things. It worked like a charm. Whole bunch of people all over the store asking for different things they can't keep track of anything and this is before cameras were everywhere so if you got it in your pocket you got it. The one I remember first figuring out is knocking all the Swatch watches off the table. They always had those tablecloths all the way to the ground I would stick my foot underneath the tablecloth and start shoving them in my sock and picking them up at the same time no one was the wiser. The other one we did was go to the sunglasses hut while it was closed early in the morning and just lift the glass off the top of the case. We were bad little kids😮

A series came out in this countey about 5 years ago, it was an amazing hit some of the characters have come & gone but the main characters are Micheal Stone aka Micky Bricks, & Philip Glenister plays the part of the fixer & there was always a pretty girl of course, they each had their fortee' the guy that found the Mark was always played by Robert Vaughn & still is today marc Warren has syarred init oh hosys pf british stars you will love it, some of the heists are ingenious. Their motto is you caant steal from an hont man it is only greedy men who want something so thats what gang give then NOTHNG ? its hilarious & no one hurt only their selfish greed & pride. But a must watch !!!
