Even I am surprised at how well the ceramic antenna performed in comparison, and I run receiver comparisons all the time for validation. Those ceramic antenna RXes are the worst performing ExpressLRS receivers by quite a bit. 150Hz Crossfire isn't great for range, but I would have expected it to do much better due to the 868MHz. Great comparison though and good idea showing the graphs under the video footage to follow along!

Yes, I purchased the elrs receiver with the ceramic antenna for putting on whoops so this was a pleasant surprise. And yes all of my other Crossfire receivers get way more range than this one.

Here is a short follow-up with another quad, one without any Crossfire range issues along more or exactly the same path for a more fair comparison: ua-cam.com/video/L4kb4oJ5XL8/v-deo.html

Well, imagine how it could be even better at 868 with ELRS

Yes indeed. but then the antenna would be a similar size as the Crossfire

those crossfire wire antenna are bad if you not going to mount them correctly imortal T are the best to get, but I agree for the range and compactness of ep2 receiver are shocking

Well yea duh crossfire 150hz is the low latency mode. Lock them both at 50hz and crossfire will drop elrs.

Ep1 antenna would easily be mounted on that frame and perform way better than the ep2 ceramic antenna

Yes indeed it would. The thing is that I didn't have an extra EP1. I already used that on this quad: ua-cam.com/video/T0WeRX2uA44/v-deo.html

Crossfire at 150hz is not in LoRa mode, so it's not even a fair comparison.

Maybe at 25mW but not at 1000mW ;-)
