Great video! Have had one of these for a few years...great tool! I have replaced the belt and pad plenty, but wanted to see someone explain it...or make a video - don't have to, yours was perfect!
Thank you..I just bought this model..my first stationary sander..did not know how to use the centering knob..not sure why its not mentioned in directions but it is mentioned in this video..thought I was gonna get all mad and take it back...but it works great.
You guys can get a belt cleaner. It's a giant eraser to clean the disc or belt while its running to take most of the gunk off. Sandpaper last alot longer.
Nice one Kim and Garrett. I bought one of these sanders just today. My reaction at the unpacking stage is the same as yours. A great little machine and looking forward to using it. I'll be buying some different grit disc sanding pads I think...Thanks for the feedback, Allan
You're welcome! I'm not sure we could wood work without this thing now! We use it to sand, trim wood to make it fit, quick sanding for little projects, it's super useful! !
Ryobi's Brushless 7-1/4" Circular Saw 18V Is one my of my favorite Ryobi Tools, the 2nd is The Ryobi's 10" 36V Brushless & Cordless Sliding, Dual Bevel Miter Saw, 3rd tool is the Ryobi's Brushless Hammer Drill P251 and the Brushless P239 Single Speed 1/4" Impact Driver and last Ryobi tool is the 18V Oscillating Job Plus multi-tool, I have sanding attachment and cutting Attachment. These are The Ryobi Tools that I cannot live without them.
I bought this one, and I was happy with how it performed, until the belt managed to slide under the belt armrest (metal rest that the belt sander rests on when in the horizontal position) and it sheared it clean off. Now, I'm having issues finding a replacement part from Ryobi. Anyone know where to find the name of that part so I can buy / find one?
@@KimandGarrettmakeit it will extend the life of your sanding belts greatly if used properly.you probably won't have to use one every time unless it's real heavy use those belts can get expensive if you burn through them all the time.hope this helps
I'll never use any other tool but Ryobi. My favorite tools

Just bought this exact one second hand! Need to change the pad and belt! Thank you for your video!
It's been a while since we made this video and we still can NOT live without it! It's been through a ton of belt's and it's still working great!!!

Great video
thank you for making this video very helpful
You're very welcome!
Mine will not run in the middle, I've moved the knob both ways, don't seem to be able to find the right tension,
Thoughts?
How do you switch between the sanders
Thanks guys!

Yes! We love ryobi!

Mine left behind all the sticky ness!! Any suggests how to remove the sticky part?!
A little DW-40 on a rag, then a little alcohol to dry it up.
Thank you for your quick response!
Great review. Deciding on this sander vs a Wen.
What music is playing in the background on the video?
Thanks for the great projects.
Wen sells the same sander. Just different color scheme.
Why use a power drill to remove a screw that only requires 4 rotations.
Get yourself some sanding belt cleaner bars at/through Harbor Freight
What does it do? We haven't used it to date but is like to keep it running. This thing is great!

Thanks. Want some constructive criticism ? The music is good music, but WHY ???? It's very distracting. The video doesn't need it.
