  • Here i have bought some materials off amazon to add a exhaust break to my dodge truck. Works well. In my research i found some similar kits to this for about $1200 to $1800 us. I thought that this was pretty expensive but when looking at the kits i figured i could build it myself much cheaper and i did. So i originally that of doing git with a air activated valve but thought it would be easier with electric especially when I found the exhaust cut out kit with all the wiring. It had every thing i needed to do the job. Buying the band clamps and the exhaust flanges worked great. 30 minutes and it was installed. I did have to change the band clamp as i was losing lots of exhaust there. I fixed it and now it Warri’s much better. Easy little mod for the truck.
    Thanks for watching

    When you have the break on switch out of overdrive as well and you should really feel it pull back. You're going to love that heater. Depending what tou get you can program them to come on at certain temperature.

      Yes looking forward to the heater. At this time I don’t have overdrive. But I agree I think it’s going to work great. Thanks for watching

      The one you can buy for it does. Thats why I did. Maybe could have been smaller. I have lots of leaks in my exhaust so it works but could be better

    Does it only us power to open and close the valve. I'm thinking it does not need to be powered to stay open it just needs to be powered until it is open.

    • @puddlejumper3534
      @puddlejumper3534  Рік тому +1

      Yes it doesn’t need power once opened only when you want to close it. The kit came with the switch it has a small box that it works through

    How’d ya know how big of a hole to drill? I want to do this on my 12v

    • @puddlejumper3534
      @puddlejumper3534  6 місяців тому

      I guessed. I got the idea from a kit you can buy and it showed the hole so I guess the size. You could go smaller and work your way bigger. Mine worked but I have lots of exhaust leaks so it could have been better. I was pleased with the results ever though. Thanks for checking it out.

    Sorry, can't help but mention that people that call a CUMMINS engine a cUMMINGS, engine just irritate me to no end. Go read the spelling on the badging and even the name as spelled on the engine. Thanks to all you 'CUMMINGS" owners who correct themselves.
