I'd argue that Luckstone should be higher than Ring/Cloak of Protection. I'd much rather have +1 to all my skill/attribute checks, plus it also improves your initiative (initiative is a skill/attribute check) than have the +1 AC. I'd also argue that Luckstone should be higher on the list overall.
Another point of note forgotten about with the luckstone (as well as the cloak and ring of protection) is that since they add +1 to saving throws, this is also added to death saving throws. Sometimes, a +1 makes the difference between a failed save and a passed one.
Ring of Evasion is another very solid magic item for any class. Some of the hardest hitting spells in 5e require Dex saves so auto succeeding is nice. Works great on characters that dumped their Dex to take half damage a couple times a day, or even on a rogue/monk to guarantee a success taking no damage.
I think magic items for play styles could be a good idea so healer, melee damage dealer , range weapon damage dealer, controll spell caster and spell caster damage dealer. You had had quite a few top 10's with this.
As the DM for my friends, I use a pdf I got from XP to Level 3 that has all the dmg magic items sorted into level appropriate tables. It’s really useful for mindlessly rolling on a table to award loot. I do specialize it at times, but it’s at least good for knowing if an item will out power current content.
Periapt of Proof Against Poison is a rare magic item that provides non-attunement immunity to both poison damage and the poisoned condition. It is good against a great many types of monsters and traps.
Winged Boots are nice, as long as you don't get a flying ability in the near future. I started a character at 5th level recently and could choose an uncommon magic item, but because I chose Genie Warlock, I would have gotten flying capabilities at next level anyway, so I chose a cloak of protection
Adam is very cute, love him. Also will say a nice list, I know the Amulet of Health saved my Alchemist Artificer, he was almost unplayable with his badly rolled stats but with this amulet and his good intelligence he was actually a lot of fun.
It is funny how good Winged Boots are, as a player though I've never seen them in a campaign proper. They're a go to for one shots, where we do a magic item point system to make things interesting, but outside of that nada. Not that I blame my DMs, because as a DM I think I've only handed out one pair in the course of two campaigns that both spanned over a year. Better keep the Power Sword away from Adorra and Adam, could wind up with Pups of Power there, Ted.
I heard that. Brings even more light why artificer (level 10) is such a good class in the right hands. DM not giving you the items you want, fine make yourself!
This makes me want to give a Ring of Spell Storing to my martial players. I think there’s a lot more fun to be had with it than just loading it up with Shield and Absorb Elements like everyone says.
Use Fire Shield or 5th level armor of Agathys on the barbarian just before a rage. They deal damage when hit and can reduce damage, especially the Armor of Agathys. 25 Cold damage to them when hit and a potential effective 50THP while raging. Not even mentioning Shadow Blade and such in the hands of a Fighter.
Do you spend much time reading homebrew? I'd love to see a top 10 homebrew list by you. I value your opinion and like being introduced to good 3rd party stuff
What's the rule with concentration spells and the Ring of Spell Storing? Does the ring concentrate on the spell for you?

Get well, Master Ted, coughing does signal you ARE going through something. Just take good care, man. Regards from Tabasco, México [Land of The Olmecs]!
When you get around to wizards you need to check out the mizzium apparatus. Uncommon yet I’d easily take it over most very rares and even legendarys on a wizard. Great on other spellcasters that can attune too but best on wizards because it’s arcana based
One that is good, but my current DM seems intent on not being available in his ToA game is Goggles of Night. Been trying to get them for my human Ranger since level 1, but he seems reluctant. Even when we are in town to purchase items. I wonder if it's because I refuse to die in this deadly campaign... Lol
first time I've encountered luck stone I thought it was mostly a joke, price in the tournament that supposed to be magic but actually wasn't when our barbarian won I casted identyfy and I learned that it was very nice magical rock
The ring of spell storing doesn't specifically discount cantrips, so you can in theory have dozens of cantrips loaded up multiple times (since they are level 0 and therefore don't count towards addition)
Any creature can cast a spell of 1st through 5th level into the ring by touching the ring as the spell is cast. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the ring. So that does discount cantrips.
I'd say the broom of flying is far better than the winged boots while having the same rarity and not requiring attunement. Sure, you can't dash but small and some medium characters won't weigh more than 200 pounds with their equipment and have the 50ft. flying speed. Also no limitation on the duration.
I have a question unrelated to this, but wanna post it to a dnd related group. Do you guys think itd be op to let a two weapon fighter attack an extra time as part of their bonus action for having the two weapon fighting style and dual weilder feat to a max of the number of attacks they make as their action? I did a quick crunch of the numbers, and it seems liek theyll do less overall damage than a great weapon master or sharpshooter
I have a player that is useless against flyers and 3 players that are not. I've given them wings of flying and 2 pairs winged boots and the only character who doesn't wear one I the guy useless against fliers. To make it worse the guy with the wings of flying can cast the fly spell and always prepares it. It's fricking sad I want grand aerial battles
when it comes to a level 5 party whats appropriate to give them? they have almost no magic items amongst themselves so I was thinking of letting them find 2 good rare ones and maybe some small simple ones. idk though how do you know when the party should have what items?
I don't get your aversion to the broom of flying, it's purely better on basically everyone except high level monks. It's uncommon rarity and *NOT ATTUNEMENT*. It has infinite duration and has a speed of 50 ft if at or below 200 lbs and 30 if between 200-400 lbs. You can even double up with small characters because they weigh less!
No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own Or of thine friend's were. Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.

Ted, you got a shoutout by Treantmonk's Temple ua-cam.com/video/zORGGWBV7Fo/v-deo.html
I have 2 of these items on 2 characters
Another point of note forgotten about with the luckstone (as well as the cloak and ring of protection) is that since they add +1 to saving throws, this is also added to death saving throws. Sometimes, a +1 makes the difference between a failed save and a passed one.
That's true!
Not to mention removing the double-fail-on-a-1 during death saves

Works great on characters that dumped their Dex to take half damage a couple times a day, or even on a rogue/monk to guarantee a success taking no damage.
Boots of Elvenkind are a great item, and as a Armorer Artificer I do not regret using an infusion to replicate this item.
I think magic items for play styles could be a good idea so healer, melee damage dealer , range weapon damage dealer, controll spell caster and spell caster damage dealer. You had had quite a few top 10's with this.
LOOK AT ADAM. ITS BABY

I know I'm eight months late but where can I get this?
@@luzinaldoalbuquerque3513 look up his “My Random Treasure Tables for D&D 5e” video. Should be in the description
@@ryangentry2003 appreciate it thank you
God it feels good to see yes top tens again
Periapt of Proof Against Poison is a rare magic item that provides non-attunement immunity to both poison damage and the poisoned condition. It is good against a great many types of monsters and traps.
Congratulations! You were able to get this out on a Tuesday.
Thanks Ted. Top tens was how I was introduced to this channel. A bit nostalgic.
I really like the thumbnail just being a bunch of winged boots xD
The play test games are a really good idea, go all in on that.
Winged Boots are nice, as long as you don't get a flying ability in the near future. I started a character at 5th level recently and could choose an uncommon magic item, but because I chose Genie Warlock, I would have gotten flying capabilities at next level anyway, so I chose a cloak of protection
I would have swapped one of those for Mantle of Spell Resistance, but otherwise it's a really solid list.
It was definitely an honorable mention that didn't make it
Adam is very cute, love him. Also will say a nice list, I know the Amulet of Health saved my Alchemist Artificer, he was almost unplayable with his badly rolled stats but with this amulet and his good intelligence he was actually a lot of fun.
as a wizard I love my one, not only does it give me a ton of health but also affects my concentration checks.
Cannot WAIT to see the artificer list, mate
I love these top 10 lists
You actually have the best sponsorship spots.

So close to 100k! Love the bells in the background!
This makes me want to give a Ring of Spell Storing to my martial players. I think there’s a lot more fun to be had with it than just loading it up with Shield and Absorb Elements like everyone says.
Be prepared for magic steeds and familiars for everyone as well. There are some other ways that can make things unbalanced.
Use Fire Shield or 5th level armor of Agathys on the barbarian just before a rage. They deal damage when hit and can reduce damage, especially the Armor of Agathys. 25 Cold damage to them when hit and a potential effective 50THP while raging. Why bother with Absorb elements when you can cast silence and counterspell before action surging to kick the enemy spellcasting prone?
Eyyy i just thought like a week ago about how i missed your old top 10s, dope
Do you spend much time reading homebrew? I'd love to see a top 10 homebrew list by you. I value your opinion and like being introduced to good 3rd party stuff
It's insane that winged boots are uncommon.
Thank you for making chapter markers!

The mizzium apparatus is the strongest uncommon magic item in the game IMO.
@@abcrasshadow9341 100% agree

Thanks for the content.
P.S. Often the videos are very quiet.
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Whatever, Ted, we're here for the puppy content!!
I loved that TMNT game!
I once played a tabaxi monk with winged boots. I was basically a flying race car of death.
first time I've encountered luck stone I thought it was mostly a joke, price in the tournament that supposed to be magic but actually wasn't
when our barbarian won I casted identyfy and I learned that it was very nice magical rock

So that does discount cantrips.

Is that a new logo / intro animation? Looks good
Nah it's old school, I just brought it back lol
Along with ring of protection, and cloak of protection, don’t forget bracers of protection.
If you mean Bracers of Defense, I kept them off the list as they don't function with armor or a shield, so not technically for all classes
I have a player that is useless against flyers and 3 players that are not. I've given them wings of flying and 2 pairs winged boots and the only character who doesn't wear one I the guy useless against fliers. What is your reasoning to take the winged boots over the broom of flying? As that doesn't require attunement.
First!, also loveee this top 10 Tuesdays!!!
