I remember getting into an argument with someone that got offended by the fact people tend to see it as an early warning red flag when the main character for an upcoming game, movie or TV series happens to be a woman or minority.
How many times does the same story need to repeat for you to understand why normal people see it as an early warning red flag?
Some folks just refuse to accept that pattern recognition is a life skill.
And that's fuckin sad tbh. We should be able to have games where minorities or women are the lead protagonist. But recently, everytime that happens, it comes coupled with loads upon loads of virtue signaling and racist rants towards white people. It's despicable.

I cannot take seriously anything Darth Vader is shoved into anymore. His entire story and purpose has been made utterly meaningless by just the Sequel films alone. Everything built up with his character for the six movies that all culminated in him killing Palpatine, saving Luke and dying redeemed meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. All his character serves now (as with everything George Lucas created) as jangling keys and nothing else.
