Truth Indeed
This performance is one of the best live performances ever! Totally awesome!
Thats the happiest concert I ever saw in my entire life..
It's beautiful.
I've listened to him for years and played his music. Finally he got old and was in the hospital, and when he came out he played one more concert at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I was there. He was GREAT
I was loving dancing to this music back in the early 60's, and am loving it today...just an old white woman who has a lot of soul! Thank you for the wonderful music, this is my all time favorite song to dance to!
+Marguerite Acosta Yep it sure was some great times back then . From an old white guy who really digs this R&B!!
I am teaching my 15 month old grand son how to rock, we play the songs, and I bounce him and sing and keep time with the music! Now, whenever he hears any music, he starts to boogie...
+Vern Smith It was the black delta soul performers joining Mississippi white country musicians at Muscle Shoals to create the Memphis Sound with the leadership of Steve Cropper and Otis Redding.
thanks!
I agree, it was a lot of good music back in the SIXTIES.
The man was a legend in his own right. R.I.P. Wilson.
Un mounstruo en el escenario la mejor cancion en vivo que he escuchado, ESPECTACULAR!!!
What is soul? THIS is soul!
Soul is the ring around your bath tube. Soul is a ham hock in your cornflakes. Gorge Clinton
THE WORLD WILL NEVER KNOW......

Wilson is very remarkable and all his songs are so lovely 💕 my mom and dad used to play his songs every day before there both pay a visit to heaven. Wilson is the greatest of all time I will always play his songs. Have been listening to Wilson's songs since I was born, what about you since when have you been listening to Wilson’s songs?

Wilson Pickett’s version is the best IMHO💯%😎🕺💃🏽
Love how some random kid can jump on stage and dance right alongside Pickett!!!
yeah the kid was great, wonder how he learned to dance like that, wonder what he's doing now?
Some dumbass always wants to be the center of attention
@@DrVonNostrand Seriously? They were having fun! Everyone!
Those were the days, B4 9-11 and all the security measures we have now. I miss those days.
Yep back in the day it was like that unlike all these nowadays prima Donas with security bigger than potus.
This guy is so friggin electric man!! We blast him on the old 70s yamaha system often and dance and boogie in our tiny lounge, us white folks get it too!! And we're almost 50!
I remember him since little, mums favourite at get togethers, she loved the wicked picket .... me too x
Thank God, I grew up with parents who appreciated great music. Old school was the only thing played in our home. The wicked Pickett was my mom's favorite so I heard everything he did and still play them.
Yes INDEED AMEN
TheWonderfulKushite me too
My elders loved him too. The kids were exposed to his screams from babyhood and just loved it.
Everlasting freshest vibe Brothers and Sisters!!!
What an event! I get the impression that Wilson Pickett was a successful Baptist Minister for one or two previous lifetimes. Then he petitioned to minister through music, and this is the great result!
look up the otis redding documentary and it talks about Wilson church background
Wow! That crowd was blown away! Some serious rhythm and a palpable primitive connection taking place. Wilson Picket really seemed like he knew there was something special taking place. He performs with such a raw sincerity, if that makes any sense. A truly natural talent.
"Primitive connection"? Smh and lol. The only thing primitive about this post is your comment, mate.
@@wotizit2937 a 'Primal instinct of Rhythm ' maybe?
I noticed some of the faces in the audience looking totally amazed as well. I think this concert is in Africa though so I'm sure many of them would have never seen anything like that back then.
@@andchat6241 my take is he just oozes great stage presence and energy along with good timing and great crowd work. 🎉 loved it

@@george46995 What happen later?? Got an ass whipping?!
George Lutterodt, you were at the concert! Or the movie theater...
When Wilson talks about Ringo the Beatles loved R&B Music. How could you not love it.
They must have been very frustrated. R&B was not meant for them to play, and they did not!!
Truth Indeed
some of the best music ever made RIGHT HERE
Wilson is the King. Elvis is fine. Wison has it all GAWD he rocks with so much soul. Smokin' band. Love ❤️ ya'll.🇨🇦🎺🎷🎼🎸🥁🎹

Soul and Pickett. Nothing like his version of the genre. His music surely gets everywhere!
I was the only white guy on Wilson's 1971 tour thru Dixie. I was his babe contracter. Some people are born with soul in their voice.
Hey, your a part of a legend in our hearts!
Those were the days. I know what you mean.
The wicked pickett,
Just loved his connection with the audience, and how happy he looks, what a voice, what a man.
