@Russ Sabourin I know I didn't made her crazy. Now as an adult and see the stress of life and back then there was little opportunity for women plus man problems. I totally understand. I forgive her wholeheartedly. Wish she was alive now .

There is a difference in discipline and being beaten because of abuse. My mother took her anger and frustration out on us. Not because we did bad things. Because she was hateful.
My mom use to beat me , she would say she beating the devil out of me....back hand across the table, box my ears , ears would ring for days ....leave bruises and red stripes across my legs, butt and back from anything she could get her hands on .....this was back in the 60s, and early 70s....back then it was no big deal , parents done that.....different time.....
If you are both mom and dad you gotta do what you gotta do. I did mine of course never hurt them and one is 6’7 one 6’2. I’m 5’4. They are very good adults out living their dream life

Lemont your videos are extremely entertaining and informative . You asked if you can go more in detail the subject matter or keep it short . I can't speak for others but I myself wouldn't mind at all if you go more in depth . I will continue to watch keep up the great job .

hi lamont, don't you think that the newer gravestones are more like art ? some of them are truly beautiful. thank you for another great and interesting video. i like both the short and the longer videos, so whichever you do is fine by me.
I personally think the older headstones have much more character to them considering the tools and different methods they had to use but yes some of the newer ones are quite amazing , thank you for sharing

You and King Arthur are both correct, they are all artistic and unique in their own ways. They often show us a little (sometimes a lot) about who that person was. I personally like the older ones better.
Just imagine 50-100 years from now what people will be saying about the stones they see

Wilson Pickett was a powerful singer who could really belt a song out. But "I'm in Love" is a sweet serenade -- for the ages. Love never dies, as it shouldn't. Sending hugs to you Lamont for the precious memories and to soothe all hurts.

Growing up in the "60's I remember hearing him on the radio all the time. He was so talented and popular.
My mom was a poor excuse of a mother, too. It hits extra hard when you have a kid or are close to a little kid and you're just like "how could anyone treat an innocent little human like this so badly?"
Though your not a famous singer or actor Lamont, your a treasure in my books. Keep on, keeping on.

As one of the greatest R&B singers of the 60's, I have fond memories of his music. He was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

My Granny is buried in Evergreen. She passed in 1999. She lived off Taylor Boulevard, behind Churchill Downs, and people would pay to park in her yard during racing season, especially Derby Weekend. She was 71 when she died.

He was Friends with Bobby Womack, who written a song for himself, which was called I'm in Love, became a hit for Mr. Pickett. A Legendary Singer, Songwriter, who will be Greatly Missed. Hello folks I'm eighty two years of age in November 2024. I knew there was something absolutely unique and astounding about the depth and that stark edge of Wilson Pickett's voice back in the 1960's when I was a reasonably successful performer in lil' ol' Melbourne Australia. Might be hard to fathom now days but the music we were served up by the old time conservative "squares" on the Aussie radio stations in those days was always, white smooth voiced "Rock n Roll" performers. "Left overs" from the immediate past days of Sinatra and his crew...Yep, some of them were brilliant but we don't need to list them here. Wilson and the whole collective rough edgy blues, soul, singers were never made a fuss of. Thinking of him now long since gone, and James Browne, Percy Sledge, Otis Redding, and some others who have these days slipped my mind. Well guess what? Now we have multiple platforms we can hook up too and enjoy those brilliant performers and their iconic voices and unique vocal styles any time we like!! and there ain'ta no one gonna stop us!! I learned from my parents and my kids learned it from me...Nawwww!...I did break my kids speakers for not lowering the music, once...But I has bought them for him...He broke more expensive stuff with his tantrums...😂... Funky Broadway was one of my Pickett songs...Thanks for taking us to his grave...Many blessings...❤

I know you're trying to maybe "bang out" your videos as quickly as possible but put more time into it with more information that no one's heard about! Something interesting that other true crime UA-camrs won't mention.
