Hey really quick @DigitalMotorhead, you might want to tuck in your primary oil hose away from the ground. If you hit a speed bump and it gets pressed against the bottom of your bike it could rip off the plug and spew oil all over your rear tire. Stay safe out there and nice video :)
Great job! I have an Iron 883 myself and I’m planning on doing my oil change for the first time as well. After watching your vid I’m more optimistic about my chances of not messing it up lol. Any other things you plan on doing to your bike on your own? Good luck on your future vids! 👍🏻
Thanks! Glad my new news inspired someone haha! Yeah I will be trying to do as much as possible primarily for this reason. To show others what its like as a first timer.
All you pro mechanics out there please leave any tips you have found too!
Thank you for posting this. i just recently purchased an 883 and came up on my first oil change. Your video really helped me out a lot. Thank you!

Wow; that's a considerable savings!
Oh yeah and a free workout too! 💪
What if you use gear and chain oil

The oil in the primary/transmission is separate from that in the engine. Please do some research before posting incorrect info.
