I mean Tornado, F-16F, Su-27, Su-25TM, MiG-35D, F-15SE, EA-18G, and in particular FB-22, F-35A and F-35B. Developmental versions of MiG-29, F-16 Block 70/72 and unrealized projects in the form of F-15N Sea Eagle, F-22B and F-22N Sea Raptor . b) Correct one thing that some players will not like. No tail codes and tactical numbers on the acquired EAF and special skins. It deprives these fighters of identity and uniqueness. AC6 showed that these skins look better with tail codes and tactical numbers. It remains to be hoped that this will be corrected in some update. And for OADF/OMDF skins give the opportunity to give your own tail codes and tactical numbers (the exception is the squadron skins of the main character).

Bandai namco you guys should really add some more game modes to Ace combat 7, specifically some ground attack missions for multiplayer, dog fighting is fun but it just gets tiring and boring after a while

Back in 1983, I bought - and loved - a game on my ZX Spectrum called Fighter Pilot. It looks extremely basic these days, but back then, it was the Ace Combat of the era. AC 7 however, takes flight combat to another level. Great stuff by Namco.

I've seen ground combat vets play Arma 3 before, but I've never seen an ex-pilot play an AC game in the internet, not even DCS. Now that, that's a playthrough I'd definitely want to see.

Cool how they had a real fighter pilot be interviewed. Though AC7 is not very realistic at all (though very fun), if you want a true flight sim I suggest DCS world, you can buy extremely realistic and high quality aircraft (F-15, F-18, multiple Russian jets such as the Sukhois and MiGs and much more) only thing about DCS is that it is free (except for some modules like the F-15 F-18 etc..) and it opposed to AC7 it has a steep learning curve as you need to learn energy management and real life tactics to be good.
As much as I've enjoyed playing Ace Combat over the last 20 years, I find it comical when they made ads like this trying to convince us the gameplay of Ace Combat is in any way, shape, or form realistic. This is an arcade shooter with jets. It's crazy fun, but the dynamics aren't realistic in the slightest. Killing airspeed in order to GAIN maneuverability, accelerating in a pure vertical climb, complete lack of energy loss during high g maneuvers, pulling like 20 gs in a sustained turn with zero stress on the aircraft or pilot, all these tings are ridiculous. The only thing more ridiculous is the plot which just seems to get more and more corny with each release. Despite all that, Ace Combat has always been an extremely fun series to play, and I've bought every single game since the first one. This game motivated me since childhood during my pursuit of becoming a Marine Corps Aviator. But to hear this guy talk of the "realism" of this game is laughable. He must have felt he was reaching for the stars for the answers.
I'm still bitter that the game does not support generic gamepad input on PC. I've refunded my purchase, but I'll pay full price again if the game is patched to include gamepad remapping, as the website stated...
Remapping isn't particularly a problem, I do it to play the ace combat trilogy on PC. The problem is that they locked HOTAS support to new thrustmaster products only. This is incredibly short sided and not only goes against the industry standard of making keys remappable on generic gamepads, they actively lied with a previously released statement stating that it would support exactly that. No matter how much I love ace combat, this is not something I'm going to financially support.
I thought the writing in the Nicolas Cage movie "Firebirds" was bad, but AC7 convinced me otherwise. Congratulations. You just beat a stupid 90s Top-Gun knockoff in aweful writing.

Sam simplement sam no it’s not, the training video was a one of 7. The end score was 6-1 for the F-22. This was despite having its transponder on to make it visible, external fuel tanks and we don’t know the rules of engagement so we can’t actually make a judgement. But considering the super mobility and flight systems and avionics of the F-22, the fact that it’s stealth and has one of the worlds best fighter radars, if not the best. It’s much better than the Rafale, infact the Rafale wouldn’t even stand a chance in real life. Even in close quarters combat (WVR), it would get destroyed. But this type of combat will rarely happen. Especially when it’s 5th vs 4th generation. The same goes for the F-35, it has superior avionics and flight systems, much better radar( and other facilities. It will destroy the Rafale before the Rafale even knows it’s there. Even in WVR combat the F-35 will win. Rafale is more comparable to F-16, F-15 and F-18. These are the type of jets, of course the newer versions of these jets. And even then the Rafale will lose to these very jets, in WVR and BVR. But it’s still a good plane, much better than anything Russia has.
