I literally listen to this band again and again since i discovered it, and it's always fantastic. I'm glad you loved it, and i like what their songs make me feel every time. Thanks for the reaction man !
Jari (the singer) not only composes all of the music, he also does all of the sound mixing by himself. He's very, VERY perfectionistic and won't anyone else handle his music^^
You have to do Loneliness (Winter), one of the most beautiful ballads out there. There's also a third and final song from this rehearsal - Land of Snow and Sorrow. Great reaction!
What makes Jari's singing so impressive is that when he was forced into military service, he contracted Tuberculosis and had to have 25% of one of his lungs removed and he still has that stamina and power behind his voice. Absolutely insane!
"Forced" is such a strong expression. I'd say it's an honor that every Finn should go through. The least you can do for your country is to serve the minimum 6 months. Those who choose not to should not only go to jail but have their citizenship (or at least the rights for welfare etc.) stripped away from them.
@@tespiii What a nice expression of support for conscription. Be a docile slave, do what they tell you and never oppose authority. This is what metal music is all about.
Three of them have "a 2nd life": Jukka (bassguitar > Nightwish, Kai (drums) > Nightwish, Teemu (guitar) > Dragonforce. Only Jari holds the Wintersun-Flag high up. For Time Ii they came together again. And for Time III and Time IV hopefully they will do again...😀🤟
BTW.. that drummer is Kai Hahto, nowdays nightwish drumer. He can definetly keep that drrumming up...And nightwish new bass player is Jukka from wintersun...
Actually, that "build up" is another song from the album, the one that's called Darkness and Frost. It happens the same in Sons Of Winter And Stars, with When Time Fades Away being the intro. I suggest you react to Insomnium - Heart Like A Grave, but there isn't a bad choice because I love every song by them ^^
Since the virus and remote work took away my cycling commute, I'm beginning to feel seriously out of breath, too. Mr Kai Hahto, though, probably still has the constitution of a marathon runner. I wish I had a garage so I could take up drumming in my old age.
The backing tracks are all composed by Jari using VST-plugins I'm pretty sure. He uses way too many instruments in the orchestral backing tracks for it to be feasible for him to hire an actual musician to play each one :D
This is a song that actually took me years to appreciate. At first it was way too progressive to my tastes, but over the years, the more I listened to it, I became to appreciate it more and more and today it's close to being the best song I've ever heard. Very closely behind Eternal Darkness, Loneliness and Sons of Winter and Stars, all of which are Wintersun songs. Maybe this has been said in the comments already, but no violin or other instruments except guitars, bass and drums are really played live, they're played with software. Here you can see a demonstration of how these songs have been made, it's absolutely fascinating: ua-cam.com/video/hl6CmmerR8c/v-deo.html
Just one word to describe this band (well two if I use an expletive as well), ******* MAGNIFICENT 🤘🤯🤗🤘
This is SO anguished!!! A knife through the chest!! Grief!!! Despair!!! It just overwhelms! I'm not complaining. It's FABULOUS!!!
This song, simply...... spectacular

And that is also why we'll never get Time II ;)
@@chadmarx7718 I’m penciling in 2030 as the year it gets released
I thought the sound mixing is done by someone else in Sweden... don't remember where exactly Jari said it was though... I might be wrong ...
You > " This could be just an instrumental track."
Jari >"RUUUAAGH!!!"
Hilarious 🤣😂
Great reaction, Thanks.
Greeting from Finland, nice to see you like my favorite band of all time :)
That was incredible, thanks so much I loved that. Great reaction 😃🤘🏻

Agreed... I really like whole Forest Seasons album, so other songs would be dope to react also.
Headphones and this. Perfect.
And volume is tuned WAY too loud :)
That first "And I fade away"... gets me every time. 😶
EPIC! 🤘
FENÓMENOS 🎶🎶🎸🎸🤘🤘👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
jari is singing his heart out.
magnifico

@@tespiiilol fuck no. This is what we call bootlicking right here.
If you want to be hit right in ur feels but still enjoy a super incredible track listen to Wintersun - Loneliness
Wintersun - Land of snow and sorrow - Live rehearsal @ Sonic Pump Studios :)

Land of Snow and Sorrow is the greatest song - it's more a slow folky type ballad, it's amazing and epic like all their music

Jari has the face features and body composition that I think of when I read about elves in fantasy books like The Witcher or LOTR.
Jari's fingers remind me of spider legs.

this sound i can imagine a viking ship sailing a new adventures and maybe never come back. very good reaction thanx and have great day there.
Another interesting Finnish band would be Moonsorrow. For two very different samples I'd recommend Unohduksen Lapsi and Pimeä.
Amorphis The Bee 🐝🇫🇮✨
