Cool information tidbits, very on point. I remember it all, from being a fan right from the release of the debut 2004 self-titled. The wait for Time I was immense. Not to mention the wait for Time II. It's kind of alarming how many hardcore fans were lost between the release of Time I and now.

Wintersun is my number 1 favourite band, especially for the reason that their music takes my mind places I've never been before. It's something about the music that's so enchanting, but I've never managed to put it into exact words, but you, my friend, have done a fantastic job at doing so! Great reaction mate... really! 😊 For me, this is their best song. There is not so many metal songs which are at the same time beautifull, complex and really emotional. I think finnish metal brings a certain kind of sadness, but like you said at the same time uplifting. There is still one song from same rehearsals, Land of Snow and Sorrow and you have whole time album covered, but When Time Fades Away. I also recommend you to react Forest Seasons album which is great. Awaken From the Dark Slumber (spring), Forest That Weeps (summer), Eternal Darkness (autumn) and Loneliness (winter) all official lyric videos.

Sons of winter and stars smacks you to the wall, and you'll notice in the you can still breathe. Time, sneaks on you, like a slow moving long, powerful wave. The first wakes up my respect - I'm sure I will never forget the name of the band. And I hope that they, and me and everybody, choose right in the crossroads - it's not too late to find the way. - The latter is the one I find myself humming. It's sublime.

It's incredible how young they are, almost unrecognizable, all of them at the beginning of their 20's, but killing it, crazy good performance and Tarja sounds mighty and epic. Great, one more awesome video! Wintersun is really an awesome band. The know-how of them all is really high. This song "Time" is one of my absolute favorites both from them and in general. And I had tears in my eyes for a moment - at the same point as you. BTW. I live a little over 1km from that studio !!! :) If you liked Jari's guitar solo here, wait until you hear the song "Winter Madness" from the first album. That solo is even better (more complex). Or there’s one song they’re playing at gigs, but there’s no album version of it yet. It comes on the album "Time 2". The name of the song is "The Way of The Fire". Jari's second guitar solo at the end of the song is from another world !!! And Kai is still involved in Wintersun's gigs at this point. As for the album "The Forest Seasons," I would say it would be better to listen to the songs in order, as Jari has written them. It is a concept album: Spring> Summer> Autumn> Winter. If you start with the last one, it’s like reading the last chapter of a book and only then going to another chapter ... That album is an experience to listen to in order. Starting with how spring feels, progressing to the light of summer, from there to the darkness of autumn and finally to the cold winter. In addition, at the time of the song "Autumn", Jari's father was seriously ill and Jari had to take care of him. To take to the hospital, to get medicine, to get to the hospital, to take to the doctor, to take to medical examinations, etc. That’s another reason why the song is so melancholic, almost depressing. And that other reason is that in Finland that autumn is a rather gloomy and dark season. By the time of the next song "Winter", Jari's father is already dead. And hearing Jari’s voice is how he misses his father, there would still have been a lot to say, but can no longer tell! If Nightwish's "Poet and The Pendulum" was a touching song, then at Wintersun it's this. So it makes sense to listen to the album in order. Preferably for a short time. To keep that feeling going through those four songs. Personally, I never listen to them individually, but always from the beginning to the end of the album. Because it’s kind of a single story divided into four parts. By the way, there is also an acoustic version of that "Winter" song! That's really good. And one more little info for the song "Summer". There is a male choir in a few places, composed of Finnish metal musicians - a total of 16 men!
BTW. Over the weekend, Nightwish's Marko Hietala won the Masked Singer Finland competition! And like Floor last fall, now Marko performed everything but metal! A total of 7 songs = 7 different genres! And the panelists didn’t realize at all who was singing, wondering song after song that “Now he’s singing in a whole different voice again !!!” and one of the panelists suspected there was a different person behind the mask than in the previous song! : D I put those internationally known songs here (the other three were Finnish artists, and I don't think anyone outside Finland knows them). The songs are short versions, only about 2min. But the videos are about 3-4min. If you want, you can make those four songs into one reaction video. You only cut off those beginning parts where only Finnish is spoken (hints are given about the person behind the mask). Then you would have 4x 2min, you would fit well into your own video. It has epic melody, lyrics and singing, and what is even crazier that entire album Forest Season was done completely by Jari himself (all instruments and everything else)!

This old Nightwish performance you have to see and react to, it is from the TV show live in 1999 in Helsinki where they performed Gethsemane and Sacrament Of Wilderness songs from their then new and second album Oceanborn. It's incredible how young they are, almost unrecognizable, all of them at the beginning of their 20's, but killing it, crazy good performance and Tarja sounds mighty and epic. Gethsemane is a must to see but why not react to both songs together cause both are great and performance is epic. Wintersun is really an awesome band. The know-how of them all is really high. This song "Time" is one of my absolute favorites both from them and in general. And I had tears in my eyes for a moment - at the same point as you.

If you liked Jari's guitar solo here, wait until you hear the song "Winter Madness" from the first album. That solo is even better (more complex). Or there’s one song they’re playing at gigs, but there’s no album version of it yet. It comes on the album "Time 2". The name of the song is "The Way of The Fire". Jari's second guitar solo at the end of the song is from another world !!! And Kai is still involved in Wintersun's gigs at this point.
As for the album "The Forest Seasons," I would say it would be better to listen to the songs in order, as Jari has written them. It is a concept album: Spring> Summer> Autumn> Winter. If you start with the last one, it’s like reading the last chapter of a book and only then going to another chapter ... That album is an experience to listen to in order. Starting with how spring feels, progressing to the light of summer, from there to the darkness of autumn and finally to the cold winter.
In addition, at the time of the song "Autumn", Jari's father was seriously ill and Jari had to take care of him. To take to the hospital, to get medicine, to get to the hospital, to take to the doctor, to take to medical examinations, etc. That’s another reason why the song is so melancholic, almost depressing. And that other reason is that in Finland that autumn is a rather gloomy and dark season. By the time of the next song "Winter", Jari's father is already dead. And hearing Jari’s voice is how he misses his father, there would still have been a lot to say, but can no longer tell! If Nightwish's "Poet and The Pendulum" was a touching song, then at Wintersun it's this.
So it makes sense to listen to the album in order. Preferably for a short time. To keep that feeling going through those four songs. Personally, I never listen to them individually, but always from the beginning to the end of the album. Because it’s kind of a single story divided into four parts.
By the way, there is also an acoustic version of that "Winter" song! That's really good.
And one more little info for the song "Summer". There is a male choir in a few places, composed of Finnish metal musicians - a total of 16 men!
BTW. Over the weekend, Nightwish's Marko Hietala won the Masked Singer Finland competition! And like Floor last fall, now Marko performed everything but metal! A total of 7 songs = 7 different genres! And the panelists didn’t realize at all who was singing, wondering song after song that “Now he’s singing in a whole different voice again !!!” and one of the panelists suspected there was a different person behind the mask than in the previous song! : D
I put those internationally known songs here (the other three were Finnish artists, and I don't think anyone outside Finland knows them). The songs are short versions, only about 2min. But the videos are about 3-4min. If you want, you can make those four songs into one reaction video. You only cut off those beginning parts where only Finnish is spoken (hints are given about the person behind the mask). Then you would have 4x 2min, you would fit well into your own video. And I can guarantee that you will be amazed!

She is, to many of us, the best Female Vocalist in the world. Very unknown to many still. her back story. in one's twenties, she was diagnosed with early stage cervical cancer. She survived and beat it, but she was rendered infertile as a result of the treatment. She sings of the pain she feels from never being able to have her own children. The meaning of the song and how she deliver the song.. I feel her pain, I feel her story. She is a beautiful person, inside and out with not a mean thought in her mind. You will find her to be humble and insanely talented. Listening to her songs is a catharsis experience. She will never disappoint you. So please listen to it comfortably without prejudice.
