yes!! I agree with grey! I have issues with cadet blue, too dark does not match with BLACK and it is a problem if you wear black shoes

Hi Guys, just bought my first charcoal grey peacoat and it is GREAT! Thanks for the advice! Want to buy another one though - a black one,. It has a great fit which rarely happens but is made of polyester. Do you think polyester is a problem? My first one is made of wool.

If I have 35-35.5 inches chest measured, should I go with the peacoat with cheats actually measured 18.5 or 19.5 armpit to armpit?
I tried on both the smaller one is about more fit in my torso but it is also shorter in length. Additionally, if I button the inner button one, I could not take deep breath properly even without a jumper inside.
The bigger one seems the right length but a little roomy I think.
Which one should I go for?
Great! Now I know I can buy a pea coat to wear over a suit or blazer. I was looking at Macy's website and only saw overcoats worn over suits, while pea coats were worn over button down shirts without a suit jacket or blazer.

Does anyone know why you do not button the 3rd button?
If I size down in peacoats my shoulders are restricted and I cannot move my arms over my head so it's dumb. I keep the regular size and I look fine.
The pea coat I just got is burgundy, specifically to stand out from the standard blue or grey and to match with my burgundy-purple-orange scarf. It will take a little effort to match with other things but I’m very satisfied. However, despite being a small, it’s much baggier than anticipated and looks kinda wrong. With a few adjustments it will look much better.
What a coincidence you did this clip; I just got a peacoat of my own (I have a wonderful topcoat but I wanted to add a peacoat so I could have move versatility). Idea: How about doing a video on topcoats as well?

I utilize all my peacoat's buttons... I usually just wear it when I'm packing heat and its near freezing.

Pea Coats have been worn with things like Tshirts and sweaters for a long time.. one of the classics is a blue and white horizontal stripe and dark jeans or pants...
Commercial peacoats are too thin now to be warm enough for winter, what do you wear underneath?
preferably something with a zip-up collar so that your throat is covered (yes you can wear a scarf, but you dont want that snow falling down behind your scarf when you're on a bycicle when it's snowing)

Question about your coat, do you have it tailored in? My coat is a tighter fit but the waist doesn't come in to make a V shape.
Burberry, without question (particularly the London line for pea coats, Prorsum if you can) It is a worthwhile investment. Fully lined, buttons (usually made of horn) are engraved and everything is very finely detailed and well cut. A cashmere or cashmere/wool blend is preferable.
